Today, the delegation of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Chelyabinsk Region. The delegation also included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

Within the framework of the visit, the Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan visited a number of industrial enterprises in the Chelyabinsk Region, such as KONAR and the Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant, including the ETERNO plant, where he studied the production facilities and held a meeting with the management. In addition, during his visit to ChelPipe, Albert Karimov saw a display of a model range of Ford Transit-based vehicles and a model range of the Ural Automobile Plant vehicles.

The delegation of Tatarstan had a meeting with Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Aleksey Teksler, at which the heads of the regions signed an Agreement on Cooperation between the Chelyabinsk Region and the Republic of Tatarstan and an Action Plan for the implementation of this Agreement in 2020-2024.

Ford Sollers announces that it will be renaming the company from October 1, 2020 to Sollers Ford. The decision to rebrand was made by shareholders of the JV Ford Sollers, PAO Sollers, and the Ford Motor Company.

“On July 1, 2019, Sollers acquired a controlling stake (51%) in the JV and, as a managing shareholder, focused on the company’s operating activities, development of new sales tools, and sustainable growth of Ford Transit’s share in the Russian LCV market. The company renaming is the next stage in the long-term development strategy of the JV after its restructuring”, CEO of Sollers Nikolay Sobolev said.

Sollers Ford confirms that the renaming of the company will not affect business processes and customers: all obligations for warranty repair and service of Ford vehicles will be fulfilled in full, as before.

Ford Transit production was launched at the Sollers Ford factory in Yelabuga using full-cycle technology, which allows the company to offer Russian customers an up-to-date product adapted to operate in Russian conditions at a competitive price. The range of basic versions includes an all-metal van, bus and chassis; vehicles are available to order with three options for the base length, two options for the roof height and all drive types, including all-wheel one. To date, the full range of special versions of vehicles based on Ford Transit includes 141 modifications for special and social purposes and continues to grow.

Dropping off two tonnes of used batteries or using a grandmother’s “string bag” instead of PE bags, as well as many other steps that can be taken to speed up the process of transition to the principles of circular economy, were spoken about at a thematic educational seminar at the Kazan State Power Engineering University.

The event was attended by representatives of educational organisations and businesses of Tatarstan. The speakers were university professors, top managers of major retail chains, and experts from relevant ministries and agencies.

It was carried out as part of a series of informational and educational events, the schedule for which was approved by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

Opening the seminar, Emil Shamsutdinov, Director of Department for Development and External Relations of KSPEU, said that the Tatarstan-Finnish Centre for Circular Economy is being created on the basis of KSPEU under a Resolution by the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. He added that the Centre for Energy Saving Competences and Technologies created at KSPEU 6 years ago has become, in fact, the first step on the way to creating a Centre for Circular Economy, because energy efficiency is an integral part of such an economy.

The event was attended by 59 representatives from 14 educational institutions of Kazan, 37 vocational education institutions of Tatarstan, and Innokam Association.

In accordance with Federal Law No. 97-FZ of June 29, 2012, the special taxation scheme in the form of a unified tax on imputed income (UTII) will be cancelled as from January 1, 2021. The cancellation of UTII will affect all taxpayers, regardless of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and types of activities. In the meantime, it is not necessary to apply for removal from the tax records as a UTII taxpayer, as the removal will be carried out automatically.

With the cancellation of UTII, organisations or individual entrepreneurs have the right to switch over to a simplified taxation system, and individual entrepreneurs, to a patent taxation system (PTS), or to pay a tax on professional income, the so-called “tax on self-employed”.

When applying these schemes, organisations and individual entrepreneurs are exempted from paying the same taxes as with UTII: from value added tax, property tax; in addition, organisations are exempted from income tax, and individual entrepreneurs, from personal income tax. In case taxpayers do not choose the new taxation scheme on their own by the end of the year, they will be automatically transferred to the standard taxation scheme.

The Tatarstan Office of the Federal Tax Service of Russia recommends that taxpayers decide in advance on the choice of another taxation scheme by promptly notifying the tax authority at their place of registration.

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products in Tatarstan. The participants reviewed the results of work to identify and suppress the illegal traffic in industrial products: automotive equipment, its components, and medicines.

The Tatarstan Office of the Ministry of Interior is taking measures on an ongoing basis to counter the illegal trafficking in industrial products. In the area under consideration, 67 crimes have been identified since the beginning of this year.

Work is also underway to identify and stop the production and sales of counterfeit medical products, medicines, and biologically active additives.

The meeting also showcased the capabilities of customs authorities to identify and stop attempts to move counterfeit goods across the customs border.

In 2019, in the course of work in the field of protecting intellectual property rights, the Federal Customs Service of Russia identified over 12 million counterfeit goods, and prevented damages to copyright holders of intellectual property assets in the amount of more than RUB 8 billion. Most often, automotive parts, toys, perfumery products, and light industry goods were recognised as counterfeit.

Employees of the Kazan Helicopters (part of the Russian Helicopters holding of the Rostec Corporation) took part in the Good Library charity project. During the week, everyone could bring books for children’s hospitals in Kazan.

The company’s employees have collected about 250 books for children and adolescents. Ten divisions of the company became participants of this charity project. One could leave wishes of recovery for future young readers on the inside front covers of the books. The books collected by employees will be sorted and sent to Kazan hospitals, where special racks will be installed.

Employees of the Kazan Helicopters regularly take part in charitable projects, such as “Help to Get Ready for School” or “Help is Near!” In addition, the company’s employees carry out targeted assistance campaigns supporting the Volga Orphanage and the Ronald McDonald House, a family hotel for parents whose children are undergoing long-term treatment at the Children’s Republic’s Clinical Hospital.

The Good Library project has been implemented since 2017. During this time, more than 2,000 books were collected, 650 of which filled the bookshelves in the CRCH units. In 2020, the Good Library project received support from the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan within the Republic’s grants contest for the implementation of socially significant projects for children and youth. The project is being implemented jointly with the In Your Favour charitable foundation and the Good Kazan autonomous non-profit organisation.

Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov held a videoconference meeting with representatives of the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency and the Sea Commercial Fleet.

The main topics of the meeting were the discussion of bilateral cooperation with the Turkmenistan partners on the implementation of the second high-speed Project А145E passenger vessel and the organisation of joint construction of a series of river dredgers of two types (diesel and electric), as well as the assessment of the results of joint activities achieved to date.

In August 2019, at the Caspian Economic Forum in Avaza, the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation signed agreements on cooperation in the field of shipbuilding with the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency and the Balkan Shipyard (city of Turkmenbashi), under which active work is being done to establish cooperation in the construction of ships for Turkmenistan.

On September 28, 2020, a delegation from Tatarstan, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, was on a working visit to Hungary. The Tatarstan delegation also included Aide to the Tatarstan President Gazinur Bakirov, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov, and Director General of Tatneft Nail Maganov.

During the working trip, Albert Karimov met with top executives of the MOL Group, visited the NNG company, and held a bilateral meeting with CEO of Hungarian Export Promotion Agency Kristóf Szabó.

The Hungarian side confirmed their interest both in increasing the exports of technology and know-how, and in other forms of cooperation with Tatarstan partners. The parties also discussed the successful project of Agrometal s.r.o., which brought high-quality equipment and technologies to Tatarstan.

In line with the programme of the Budapest visit, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan held talks with representatives of the Hungarian Government, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.

At the end of the visit, within the framework of bilateral meetings with representatives of business communities, a cooperation agreement was signed between Tatneft and Hungary-headquartered MOL.

POZIS (part of the Techmash concern of the Rostec Corporation) launched the next phase of refrigerator production upgrade. The company has begun assembling new hi-tech lines with an up-to-date control interface, which feature increased output.

POZIS is successfully mastering the best world technologies and actively introducing its own developments in household and medical refrigeration equipment as part of its investment project worth RUB 2 billion. The project was launched in September 2018 during the opening ceremony of the special POZIS machine-building centre by Director General of Rostec Corporation Sergey Chemezov, who noted that “the share of civil products manufactured by POZIS is close to 50%. This is an example of how an enterprise is working on what needs to be done to reduce dependence on the State defence order”.

Since the beginning of 2020, the company has deployed production lines for longitudinal and transverse cutting of metal, a door filling line, and commissioned a sheet bending centre. New CNC equipment makes it possible to obtain high quality parts with the most accurate parameters.

Now POZIS is preparing to launch a new innovative automatic line for filling refrigeration cabinets, which will allow the company to significantly improve the quality of its products in the near future.
