The Kazan Helicopters of the Russian Helicopters Holding (part of the Rostec Corporation) has launched the third stream of training for pre-retirement age workers within the framework of the Older Generation federal programme (the Demography national project). The programme is being implemented jointly with the Aviastroitelny District of Kazan Employment Centre.

Kazan Helicopters’ employees aged 50 and over will undergo training under the programme entitled “Mentoring as Tool for Fostering Labour Activity and Professionalism of Young Workers”. Thirty people will improve their qualifications: foremen, workers, experts involved in adaptation and mentoring programmes.

The training lasts 72 hours and includes lectures, practices, final certification, and independent activities. Classes are taught by lecturers of the Kazan National Research Technological University (KNRTU (KHTI)).

The course will allow its takers to master the skills of developing educational programmes, using technical and visual aids, learning how to create staff adaptation programmes, form and develop a mentoring culture with due account for psychological characteristics of the students.

As part of the Demography national project, two streams of training have already been held at Kazan Helicopters. Course takers can master the professions of aircraft electrical equipment installer, excavator driver, battery operator, or tractor driver.

Mechanical engineering is a leading industry in the republic. It is composed of over 3,000 enterprises, which employ more than 120,000 people. Mechanical engineering enterprises are implementing significant projects both for the republic and for the entire Russia. In 2020, KAMAZ started a new line of KAMAZ-Atlant mine trucks; Daimler Kamaz Rus presented a new long-haul tractor with a Euro-6 engine; Ford Sollers continues to prepare for the launch of Aurus luxury cars production, etc.

Celebrations are held annually in Tatarstan to mark the Mechanical Engineer’s Day. This year, the festive day will be held on October 9 in Naberezhnye Chelny with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

Traditionally, the festive programme of the Mechanical Engineer’s Day will begin with a mechanical engineering achievements exhibition. The street display in front of the Organ Hall will feature equipment produced by KAMAZ, Ford Sollers, TPK MTZ-Tatarstan, Koluman Rus, ElAZ, RariTEK Holding, and others.

The celebration ceremony of the Mechanical Engineer’s Day 2020 will take place in the Organ Hall. It will be attended by republic’s officials, representatives of ministries and agencies, municipalities, heads and representatives of mechanical engineering enterprises in Tatarstan, as well as industry long-service employees. Festive events will also comprise a concert and an award ceremony.

The official ceremony of appointing a new Director General of the Zelenodolsk Shipyard (part of the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation), took place today. This position was given to its First Deputy Director General, Aleksandr Filippov.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Director General of Ak Bars Holding Ivan Yegorov, Head of the Zelenodolsk Municipal District of Tatarstan Mikhail Afanasyev, Director General of the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Industrialists Aleksey Pakhomov, Director General of the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation Renat Mistakhov, and others.

Mr. Filippov began his career at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard in 1997, working his way up from an ordinary worker to the head of the company. In January 2019, he was appointed to the position of the company’s First Deputy General Director.

He pays special attention to the implementation of a comprehensive professional development programme that covers all categories of workers, engineers, technicians, and managers. With the direct participation of Aleksandr Filippov, the plant continues to implement a large-scale programme of technical re-equipment and retrofitting the production with the introduction of advanced technologies.

For success in his work, he was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Mikhail Kalashnikov medal, etc.

We invite enterprises and organisations to attend an online conference on the topic “Technologies for Increasing Labour Productivity in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Tool Industry from Thuringia” to be held on October 23, 2020.

Leading Russian manufacturers of concrete products will discuss solutions to common problems in the industry. The expert conference, organised by the Federal Competence Centre (FCC), will be held on October 16, 2020 online. During the event, representatives of companies participating in the Labour Productivity and Employment Support national project, in particular, Kazmetrostroy, APSK Gulkevichsky and KDSK, will share their experience on the matter.

The market of construction companies in the Russian Federation accounts for 5.7% of the gross value added. More than 6 million people are employed in the industry and its turnover is estimated at trillions of roubles annually. At the moment, FCC provides targeted support to 44 specialised companies from 23 Russian regions.

During the industry conference, a functional box solution will be presented to the typical problems of the production processes for manufacturers of concrete products used in construction. The material is based on the expertise of FCC experts at enterprises that are increasing their productivity within the national project.

At the end of June, major Russian manufacturers of building metal structures, including the national project participants such as Russian Profile, Siberian Plant of Metal Structures, CESIS NIKIRET, and the Yermak Group, discussed key issues of the industry. The first industry-specific online conference was organised by the FCC and the KPMG international audit and consulting company.

More and more commodities are protected against counterfeiting by mandatory marking. Therefore, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, together with the Advanced Technology Development Centre operator, continue to conduct trainings for manufacturers and retailers on connecting to the system and working in it.

In October, webinars will be devoted to product groups for which mandatory marking has already been introduced or an experiment is underwayб such as tobacco products, shoe products, light industry commodities, perfumes and toilet water, photo goods, dairy products, tyres, and medicines for medical use.

Since July 1, 2020, mandatory marking has been introduced for tobacco products, shoes, and medicines. On October 1, 2020, the requirements for mandatory marking with identification means came into force for photographic goods, perfumes and eau de toilette. From November 2020, the marking will affect car tyres, and from the beginning of 2021, new requirements will apply to the sales of work wear, knitwear, coats, raincoats, jackets, as well as bed linen, table linen, toilet and kitchen linen.

Until March 1, 2021, Russia is conducting an experiment on marking packaged water, and until December 31, dairy products. Participants will be able to test the product marking mechanisms and their own business processes, as well as to benefit from the support of the marking information system operator in setting up the processes for applying marking codes for products.

Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited new production facilities at the Technopolis Himgrad, which were built within the “Small and Medium-Sized Businesses and Support of Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives” national project, and studied the products of its residents aimed at combating COVID-19.

The head of the republic noted the activities of companies that in spring and summer this year began to implement projects in the Technopolis Himgrad. Representatives of the companies told the Tatarstan President about the demand for their products, the amount of investment, the number of jobs, and the projected annual revenues.

On the day of President Minnikhanov’s arrival, the Technopolis saw an exhibition of personal protective equipment produced on its territory and intended to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Within the framework of the visit by the Tatarstan President, a tripartite cooperation agreement was signed between the Technopolis Himgrad, the Kazan College of Technology and Design, and individual entrepreneur Nikolay Kazaev engaged in sewing outerwear for women. Its main goal was to promote the development of sewing facilities in the industrial park and to reduce the shortage of qualified personnel, including a professional retraining of senior citizens and employment of college graduates. The Technopolis Himgrad also signed a cooperation agreement with the Italy-based Autopart Srl, which is part of the KWS Engineering holding.

This year, despite the present-day realities, the #VmesteYarche All-Russian Festival of Energy Saving and Ecology is in full swing as a social campaign in Tatarstan:

- Tatarstan’s energy companies conduct energy saving lessons in Tatarstan for children of kindergartens and schools; employees of companies travel to kindergartens and schools to interactively instil in children an energy efficient way of thinking;

- The Kazan State Power Engineering University conducts energy saving lessons for schoolchildren in Kazan and carry out tours of the Centre of Competencies and Technologies in Energy Saving for students in Kazan and other regions of Tatarstan.

Application process for the regional stage of the All-Russian Contest of Creative, Design, and Research Papers of Students #VmesteYarche ends on October 15, 2020. This year, the contest is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the GOELRO, a plan for the grand electrification of our country.

The winners are expected to be awarded with valuable prizes, while senior students will receive an invitation to Moscow from the organisers and partners of the event: Moscow Power Engineering Institute and Russia’s leading energy companies. The contest results will be announced on the Power Engineer Day, December 22, 2020.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the winners of the 8th National Young Professionals Competition (WorldSkills Russia 2020). The meeting took place in the Kazan Kremlin. President Minnikhanov congratulated the winners of the WorldSkills Russia 2020 finals on a confident win.

The Tatarstan team took the 1st place in the rating of regions according to the results of the finals of the National WorldSkills Russia 2020 Competition.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the WorldSkills movement, the preparation and holding of the world competition in general, gave a good impetus to the development of the vocational education system and strengthening of human resources.

Today, 41 resource centres have been created in Tatarstan, fitted with the latest equipment. The resource centres have become not just a source of regular labour force, but also points for vocational education development.

An award ceremony also took place. The Honorary Diplomas of the Russian President and the Gratitude of the Russian President were awarded to the winners and experts following the European Professional Skills competition (EuroSkills 2018) in Budapest (Hungary). Experts of the WorldSkills movement and employees of organisations received gratitude from the Tatarstan President for their many years of work on developing the Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia) movement.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a trip today along the Kazanka River on a new Chaika-LNG motor ship, which runs on liquefied natural gas. The Tatarstan President was accompanied by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, as well as project developers.

The motor ship was built by the Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard and launched in August this year. The passenger capacity of the new vessel is up to 176 people. Chaika has a state-of-the-art exterior and interior design, meets the latest safety requirements for transportation by river transport.

The Tatarstan President was informed that, to use liquefied natural gas as fuel, the ship is equipped with 2 cryogenic tanks, 6.7 cubic metres each.

After the presentation, Rustam Minnikhanov talked with the shipbuilders and thanked them for the implementation of this important project. The Tatarstan President emphasised that the creation of Chaika-LNG is an important step in expanding the use of natural gas as a motor fuel in various types of transport. A number of specialists were presented republic’s awards.

In the future, the Chaika-LNG ship will be put into service for sightseeing tours from Kazan to Sviyazhsk.
