On September 28, 2020, a delegation from Tatarstan, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, was on a working visit to Hungary. The Tatarstan delegation also included Aide to the Tatarstan President Gazinur Bakirov, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov, and Director General of Tatneft Nail Maganov.
During the working trip, Albert Karimov met with top executives of the MOL Group, visited the NNG company, and held a bilateral meeting with CEO of Hungarian Export Promotion Agency Kristóf Szabó.
The Hungarian side confirmed their interest both in increasing the exports of technology and know-how, and in other forms of cooperation with Tatarstan partners. The parties also discussed the successful project of Agrometal s.r.o., which brought high-quality equipment and technologies to Tatarstan.
In line with the programme of the Budapest visit, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan held talks with representatives of the Hungarian Government, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.
At the end of the visit, within the framework of bilateral meetings with representatives of business communities, a cooperation agreement was signed between Tatneft and Hungary-headquartered MOL.
