Kazan Helicopters held Good Library campaign

30 September 2020, Wednesday

Employees of the Kazan Helicopters (part of the Russian Helicopters holding of the Rostec Corporation) took part in the Good Library charity project. During the week, everyone could bring books for children’s hospitals in Kazan.

The company’s employees have collected about 250 books for children and adolescents. Ten divisions of the company became participants of this charity project. One could leave wishes of recovery for future young readers on the inside front covers of the books. The books collected by employees will be sorted and sent to Kazan hospitals, where special racks will be installed.

Employees of the Kazan Helicopters regularly take part in charitable projects, such as “Help to Get Ready for School” or “Help is Near!” In addition, the company’s employees carry out targeted assistance campaigns supporting the Volga Orphanage and the Ronald McDonald House, a family hotel for parents whose children are undergoing long-term treatment at the Children’s Republic’s Clinical Hospital.

The Good Library project has been implemented since 2017. During this time, more than 2,000 books were collected, 650 of which filled the bookshelves in the CRCH units. In 2020, the Good Library project received support from the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan within the Republic’s grants contest for the implementation of socially significant projects for children and youth. The project is being implemented jointly with the In Your Favour charitable foundation and the Good Kazan autonomous non-profit organisation.
