Tatarstan and Turkmenistan discussed cooperation prospects in shipbuilding

Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov held a videoconference meeting with representatives of the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency and the Sea Commercial Fleet.

The main topics of the meeting were the discussion of bilateral cooperation with the Turkmenistan partners on the implementation of the second high-speed Project А145E passenger vessel and the organisation of joint construction of a series of river dredgers of two types (diesel and electric), as well as the assessment of the results of joint activities achieved to date.

In August 2019, at the Caspian Economic Forum in Avaza, the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation signed agreements on cooperation in the field of shipbuilding with the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency and the Balkan Shipyard (city of Turkmenbashi), under which active work is being done to establish cooperation in the construction of ships for Turkmenistan.
