More than 75 employees of POZIS (part of the Tecmash Concern under the Rostec Corporation) took part in the traditional donor campaign.
The company has been holding Blood Donation Days since 2017, jointly with experts from the Republic’s Blood Centre under the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan. And all these years the company’s employees have been active participants in this donation events.
POZIS employees were able to become donors without leaving work: blood drawing was carried out on-site based on the company’s central health unit. Thanks to the company’s staff, the blood bank was replenished by more than 34 litres of blood.
The donors include 3 people with a rare negative Rh blood type, which is difficult to find in an emergency.
The event was held under the auspices of the Russian Engineering Union, which supports the programme for the development of mass voluntary blood donation.
The first university’s co-working space entitled “Boiling Point” opened in Tatarstan on December 8 at the Kazan State Power Engineering University.
The Boiling Point network of project offices is a federal project of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) aimed at solving the key tasks of the National Technology Initiative. The spaces are intended for scientists, business and technology entrepreneurs, civil servants, members of public organisations and professional communities, and students. At these sites, they can share experience, results of their activities, jointly work out new development models, receive an expert assessment of their projects and initiatives. Such project offices are already operating in 61 regions of the country. In 2020, about 12,000 events were held at Boiling Points.
In Kazan, the project started in May last year at the IT Park. Now, the first university’s Boiling Point in Tatarstan has been launched at KSPEU. The opening ceremony took place in a hybrid format, with the connection of online participants.
The KSPEU Boiling Point also initiated work by sections in virtual thematic halls, such as Energy of Sun, Energy of Wind, and Energy of Water. Experts, students, teachers, representatives of the ASI, ministries and agencies attended round tables, trainings, and online games. Residents of the KSPEU Youth Innovation Centre showed “robot fights” techno show and held master classes on operating CNC tools, making souvenirs from epoxy resins, and transferring wood-burning patterns.
On December 9, Moscow will host the Made in Russia International Export Forum. The Forum will be organised by the Russian Export Centre. The key topic of the forum in 2020 is “Challenges of the New Decade”.
The Forum has been held since 2012 and has acquired the status of the main platform for discussing export agenda issues within the framework of the International Cooperation and Exports national project. This year the Forum will be held online.
The business programme of the Forum includes 6 thematic round tables, a plenary session, and an award ceremony for the country’s best exporters, winners of the “Exporter of the Year” All-Russian Prize in International Cooperation and Exports.
Within the framework of the Forum, urgent problems of exporters will be discussed with members of the Russian Federation Government, as well as with Russian and international experts. The Forum participants will be presented with new business solutions for the development of export activities, and the One Window information system. At the forum site, master classes will be available for organising export activities and seeking potential buyers abroad.
The Forum will be attended by heads of Russian and foreign companies, federal and regional executive authorities, Russian banks, regional export support centres, specialised associations and unions, business media, and leading experts.
Last week, within the framework of a joint meeting, the management of the Kazan State-Owned Gunpowder Factory (KGKPZ) and representatives of the State Committee for Defence Industry of Uzbekistan signed an agreement on cooperation.
The key topic of discussion was the issues of strategic partnership between KGKPZ and the State Committee for Defence Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the manufacture and supply of pyroxylin powders to Uzbekistan in 2021 under the agreement on military-technical cooperation development, as well as the organisation of licensed production of pyroxylin powders in Uzbekistan. The parties agreed on the conditions, range and cost of delivery of pyroxylin propellants in 2021, determined the amount of technical documentation for own production and the opportunity of suppling raw materials (cotton cellulose) directly from Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, a joint meeting minutes was signed, where the parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing military-technical cooperation further, and working out new initiatives and areas for multifaceted bilateral partnership.
The Kazan State-Owned Gunpowder Factory is one of the largest enterprises in the industry of ammunition and special chemicals. The company produces all brands of pyroxylin powders and charges for small arms, small-calibre artillery, tank and aircraft guns, field and naval artillery, close-in systems, hunting and sporting gunpowders, nitrocellulose, lacquer colloxylins, glues, paints and varnishes.
POZIS (part of the Tecmash Concern under the Rostec Corporation) has started the installation of a new automatic vacuum forming line for the production of internal cabinets for refrigeration devices. The new equipment is intended to increase the output of high-tech products and reduce costs by 15%.
The new thermoforming line consists of a system of linear stations that operate automatically. Its advantage is the use of an innovative laser cutting system, which increases the range of options for the automatic line with its quick changeover. In addition, the launch of this line will significantly expand the capabilities of the company in the full-scale production of new models, including “smart” household appliances. A promising model of a “smart” refrigerator has already been tested by the company’s experts. Testing of the new sample has reached its final stage.
POZIS is actively introducing up-to-date hi-tech systems as part of its investment project worth RUB 2 billion to develop the production of household and medical refrigeration equipment. This project is being implemented in cooperation with the Industrial Development Fund (IDF) and Novikombank, the backbone bank of the Rostec Corporation. In 2018, IDF issued a soft loan in the amount of RUB 750 million, while Novikombank provided an investment loan.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting with Minister of Industrial Policies of the Kirov Region Andrey Pereskokov. The purpose of the Kirov region delegation’s visit to Tatarstan was to acquire the accumulated expertise in arranging the activities of the Tatarstan’s Regional Competence Centre for Labour Productivity, as well as to evaluate the Process Factory training platform.
The Labour Productivity and Employment Support national project was approved by President Vladimir Putin in 2018 and is intended to create conditions for continuous growth in country’s labour productivity. For this, a set of governmental support measures has been developed for business, which includes financial incentives, expert assistance in optimising production processes, introduction of online services into the digital ecosystem of an enterprise participating in the national project; formation of a movement of innovators with the involvement of WorldSkills experts and infrastructure.
The main contractor of the national project activities in Tatarstan is the Tatarstan’s Regional Competence Centre for Labour Productivity (RCC) established in 2017.
To conduct practical training for employees of enterprises participating in the national project, the “Process Factory” was created in 2020, a training production site where participants gain practical experience in using lean manufacturing and production optimisation tools.
On December 2, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan held a round table discussion on the topic “New Approaches to Inter-Sectoral Interaction in the Oil Industry: Production. Service. Mechanical Engineering. Finance” on the territory of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka exhibition centre.
The audience was addressed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Deputy of the Russian State Duma Alfiya Kogogina, and Director of the Oil and Gas Processing Department at the Russian Ministry of Energy Anton Rubtsov.
Due to the high interest in the forum topic in general and the round table in particular, more than 100 participants representing 67 organisations from 15 cities of Russia were involved in the discussion. These are representatives of federal and regional authorities, academia, managers and experts of leading Russian oil and gas, chemical companies, industry associations.
The round table participants actively discussed issues related to key problems of inter-sectoral cooperation in the oil and gas industry. Also discussed were the issues of creating SPV companies in order to reduce the risk of bankruptcy of oilfield service and small oil companies; development of own services for Russian oil companies; formation of the unfinished well stock; growing customer requirements for geological exploration, oilfield services technologies and standardisation; information and engineering support of downhole operations.
For the seventh time, within the framework of the Tatarstan International Forum for Energy & Resource Efficiency and Ecology (TEF), a republic’s contest of youth initiatives was held under the name of “We Opt for Energy Efficiency”.
The contest is aimed at promoting scientific and innovative activities, identifying and supporting scientific and innovative developments of schoolchildren, students of secondary specialised colleges, universities, and graduate students in the field of energy efficiency and energy saving, and focuses on the development of economic and regulatory progress in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency.
The organisers of the contest were the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan Centre for Energy Saving Technologies, and the Kazan State Power Engineering University.
Due to the high burden of the coronavirus pandemic, the TEF forum in the traditional format was postponed to 2021, but despite the current situation, the contest was held and the winners were congratulated by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Marat Minibaev and presented well-deserved prizes.
This year, 48 entries were submitted for the contest. All works were evaluated by contest experts at the highest level and the winners were determined.

Ford Transit production was launched at the Sollers Ford factory in Yelabuga using full-cycle technology, which allows the company to offer Russian customers an up-to-date product adapted to operate in Russian conditions at a competitive price. The range of basic versions includes an all-metal van, bus and chassis; vehicles are available to order with three options for the base length, two options for the roof height and all drive types, including all-wheel one.
The Total Test for Accessible Environment is an all-Russian voluntary campaign initiated by the Accessible Environment Academy Project, where everyone can test their knowledge of the accessible environment and communication skills with people with disabilities.
More than 14,000 people from 72 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part in a similar test conducted in 2019 with the support from the Foundation of Presidential Grants for Civil Society Development. Most of the participants are representatives of key activity areas related to social infrastructure facilities, the urban space planning, including barrier-free space, and the creation of a comfortable environment for the life of citizens, including people with disabilities.
Key thematic blocks of the test are moral and ethical aspects of communication with people with disabilities; advice on providing situational assistance, as well as when accompanying clients with hearing, vision, musculoskeletal, or mental impairments; regulatory framework and an integrated approach to accessible environment planning.
The Total Test for Accessible Environment is expected to be held annually and is one of the main methods for the Accessible Environment Academy Project to assess the effectiveness of indicators associated with accessibility of facilities and services for people with disabilities.
