Sollers Ford launches online showcase for Ford Transit

An online showcase is an indispensable sales tool and assistant in choosing a vehicle in our time of rapidly developing Internet technologies. The Ford showcase is a service for online booking of Ford Transit vehicles, which displays up-to-date information on their availability and cost in official dealerships in Russia.

The online showcase consists of 4 sections, according to types represented in the Ford Transit commercial line: all-metal van, passenger transportation, chassis-based vehicles and special-purpose vehicles.

In each of the sections, a convenient filter allows you to select the city of purchase, vehicle modification, its configuration, engine and drive types, additional options, as well as the desired colour. In addition, it is possible to sort the vehicles suitable for the selected criteria by cost. The programme will also show the cost of the vehicle with allowance for the benefits of current special offers.

Ford Transit production was launched at the Sollers Ford factory in Yelabuga using full-cycle technology, which allows the company to offer Russian customers an up-to-date product adapted to operate in Russian conditions at a competitive price. The range of basic versions includes an all-metal van, bus and chassis; vehicles are available to order with three options for the base length, two options for the roof height and all drive types, including all-wheel one.

Minnikhanov: some 120,000 work in our mechanical engineering sector today

There are more than 3,000 mechanical engineering enterprises employing about 120,000 people in the republic today. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said this today in Naberezhnye Chelny at a ceremony dedicated to the Mechanical Engineer’s Day. Before the official ceremony, the President toured an exhibition of products manufactured by Tatarstan’s mechanical engineering companies. The exhibition displayed trucks, buses, tractors, electric cars, charging stations, gas turbine power plants, medical equipment, etc. Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the industry workers on their professional holiday and stressed that despite all the difficulties, this year there has been a dynamic growth in the indicators of the enterprises. During the first seven months of 2021, products worth RUB 408 billion were shipped, which is 1.5 times higher than in 2019. Positive changes are shown both by large companies and midsize enterprises in small towns. The Tatarstan President also expressed gratitude to long-service workers of the sector, noting that many companies employ several generations of working families. Then, President Minnikhanov presented a number of Tatarstan awards for great contribution to the development of the mechanical engineering sector.

Minister Karimov met with students of KNRTU-KHTI

Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov held an open meeting with students of the Kazan National Research Technological University. During the event, Minister Karimov delivered a comprehensive speech on the topic “Tatarstan’s Manufacturing Industry as the Main Driver of Regional Economic Development”, during which he outlined the main achievements of industrial sectors in Tatarstan and spoke about the main achievements and trends in the republic’s manufacturing industry development. In his welcome address he pointed out that the main source of labour productivity is the transition to Industry 4.0, the industrial revolution based on massive implementation of information technologies. Today, a marking system is applied in production facilities that allows one to track the location of a product. There are examples of smart factories where machines communicate with each other via the internet and produce personalised products without human intervention.
