On December 2, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan held a round table discussion on the topic “New Approaches to Inter-Sectoral Interaction in the Oil Industry: Production. Service. Mechanical Engineering. Finance” on the territory of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka exhibition centre.
The audience was addressed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Deputy of the Russian State Duma Alfiya Kogogina, and Director of the Oil and Gas Processing Department at the Russian Ministry of Energy Anton Rubtsov.
Due to the high interest in the forum topic in general and the round table in particular, more than 100 participants representing 67 organisations from 15 cities of Russia were involved in the discussion. These are representatives of federal and regional authorities, academia, managers and experts of leading Russian oil and gas, chemical companies, industry associations.
The round table participants actively discussed issues related to key problems of inter-sectoral cooperation in the oil and gas industry. Also discussed were the issues of creating SPV companies in order to reduce the risk of bankruptcy of oilfield service and small oil companies; development of own services for Russian oil companies; formation of the unfinished well stock; growing customer requirements for geological exploration, oilfield services technologies and standardisation; information and engineering support of downhole operations.
