Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Russian Federation Said Tayeb Jawad.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of developing trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation within the framework of Russian-Afghanistan relations.
A number of Tatarstan companies have a history of work in Afghanistan, including KAMAZ, Kazan Helicopters, and KER-Holding. The republic is interested in expanding exports of petrochemicals, mechanical engineering and pharmaceutical products.
Economic cooperation has been facilitated through the work of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, in which Afghanistan is also represented.
The meeting took place in the Kazan Kremlin. It was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov and Aide to the Tatarstan President Gazinur Bakirov.
Yesterday, on July 15, the first KAMAZ-6282 electric bus started operating in Kazan in test mode.
The public transport, innovative for the Tatarstan capital, will run on trolleybus route No. 3 from the Rechnoy Port stop to Akademika Glushko street. The electric bus will be tested for three months. Feedback from citizens about the innovative transport will be taken into account when summing up the results of the tests.
The KAMAZ-6282 electric bus produced by NEFAZ, a subsidiary of the automotive giant in Bashkortostan, is one of the company’s most high-tech products. It is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, including dual-zone climate controls, advanced telematics and media systems, and free Wi-Fi. Media screens with route information and USB slots for charging mobile devices are installed inside the E-Bus. The total capacity of the electric bus is 80 people, including 35 seats. The low floor is adapted for passengers with low mobility, the middle platform is equipped with the storage for wheelchairs and baby carriages. The electric bus is silent and smooth.
Maximum speed is 75 kilometres per hour, range on fully charged batteries is 50 kilometres. The electric buses are recharged at ultra-fast charging stations, which allow the electricity reserve to be replenished in 10-15 minutes.
The Russia’s Avtograd is one of the leaders in terms of the number of enterprises implementing the efficient labour programme under the national project. The returns are in the hundreds of millions of roubles. At the traditional Thursday press conference in Naberezhnye Chelny, they talked about how the city is implementing the national projects.
Shamil Bayramov, Head of the Tatarstan’s Regional Competence Centre for Increasing Labour Productivity, shared the results of the Labour Productivity and Employment Support national project. He reminded that the main goals are to increase labour productivity by 5% annually and to involve 249 enterprises by 2024. As of today, there are 120 republic’s companies in the system.
Linara Burkhanova, Deputy Director of the Tatarstan’s Business Support Fund, spoke about new support measures for SMEs and the self-employed under the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship national project. According to her, some changes occurred in the My Business centre.
Previously, the My Business centre only provided consultancy services to self-employed people, but this year they have decided to help them appear at exhibitions and fairs, taking care of the rent, equipment, and registration fees. In addition, a service is provided to place them on electronic trading platforms by financing the registration of the self-employed on the Russian marketplace and promoting products within it.
POZIS (part of the Tecmash Concern under the Rostec Corporation) has increased its output of refrigeration equipment by over 70% in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period last year.
The steady growth is ensured by the seasonal demand and the wide range of POZIS products, which today consists of over 115 basic models and 650 modifications manufactured using the eco-friendly, “green” technologies.
During the pandemic of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, POZIS medical appliances were in great demand. Over 6 months of this year, the growth rate was more than 150% compared to the same period in 2020.

On the 23rd of June, the teams of two fast-growing companies, Techno-Logica and SoftPipe, visited RMZ RariTEK as part of an ongoing and open exchange of experience, which is at the core of the company’s philosophy. The purpose of the visit was to study the experience of RMZ RariTEK in implementing the measures of the Labour Productivity national project. While RMZ RariTEK has already finished the 1st stage of the project on June 14, proceeding to the replication stage, the Techno-Logica and SoftPipe companies just join the National Project. The guests were interested in practical aspects: organisation of project office, goal setting, creation of reference sites and workplaces, ways of personnel involvement, etc.
The hosts had a lot to show and tell. The team of RMZ RariTEK, together with the experts from the Regional Competence Centre managed to achieve impressive results: to reduce process time almost two times from 19,680 minutes to 12,000 minutes, to reduce the in-process inventory from 102 units to 50 units, to increase the production output from 0.7 buses per day to 1 bus per shift, to reduce labour intensity of operations from 250 to 200 n/hour, to obtain economic effect of RUB 28 million, to completely change the production management system, to organise a reference site and reference workplaces, to change in-house logistics and to introduce a system of targeted storage of components, but most importantly, to introduce a culture of continuous improvement, to involve personnel in changes, to prepare a capable, trained team to replicate the successful experience gained.
Within the framework of the Labour Productivity national project, basic training on lean production was held at the OOO Food Programme Agro-Industrial Company.
As it was mentioned earlier, AIC Food Programme has become a participant of the Labour Productivity national project.
In early July, experts from RCC of Tatarstan conducted training for the project’s working group and company’s managers on such topics as Scope Definition; Effective Info-Centre; Basics of Lean Production; and Implementing an Improvement Project.
It is worth noting the conscious approach of the national project participants to the training and to the upcoming project. “At the training sessions, the trainees were very active and showed interest in every lean production tool offered. They always asked questions and suggested ideas on how and where to apply the acquired knowledge,” RCC expert Raida Sultanova expressed her opinion.
In addition, the Implementing an Improvement Project training session selected a pilot stream and generated a project card for implementation of measures of the Labour Productivity national project. The project topic was formulated as “Improving the Efficiency of Raising Young Cattle”.
The Vladimir Region is one of the most economically developed regions in Central Russia. Tatarstan is interested in further strengthening of interregional cooperation. This was stated today by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with Governor of Vladimir Oblast Vladimir Sipyagin. The meeting took place at the Kazan Kremlin.
During his visit to Tatarstan, Governor Sipyagin visited the KAMAZ plant and the Alabuga Special Economic Zone and also studied the republic’s experience of developing high-tech industries on the example of Innopolis.
Before the start of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Vladimir Sipyagin signed an agreement between the Tatarstan Government and the Vladimir Oblast Administration on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, and cultural cooperation, and an action plan to implement the agreement until 2023.
Among promising areas of interaction, President Minnikhanov mentioned cooperation in mechanical engineering, the development of the NGV market (including delivery of automotive equipment), overhaul of trucks, agribusiness, and expansion of the volumes and ranges of mutual supplies.
During the conversation, the parties discussed cooperation in a number of areas: digitalisation, improvement of public spaces, business development, personnel training, tourism, education, and cultural exchange.

The parties discussed business contacts between Tatarstan and Senegal within the framework of Russian-Senegalese relations.
President Minnikhanov said Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with Senegal. Promising areas include mechanical engineering, petrochemicals, agriculture, and innovative sectors.
Ambassador Kurakov expressed his readiness to provide necessary assistance in these activities.

The Kartli Group of Companies specialises in polymer trade. The structure of the group includes 11 companies in different countries. Annually, the Kartli Group ships more than 400,000 tonnes of products. The group’s revenue in 2020 was over RUB 31 billion.
The meeting focused on cooperation in the polymer industry, including the implementation of digital solutions.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan announces the start of the selection process for recipients of subsidies for the reimbursement of lost income in connection with the provision of discounts to owners of vehicles for the conversion.
The subsidy is granted from the budget of Tatarstan to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who carry out the conversion of vehicles to use natural gas (methane).
Conversion and maintenance outlets may apply to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan with proposals (applications) to participate in the selection process from July 13 to August 13, 2021. Proposals (applications) are accepted in accordance with the requirements of the Resolution of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers No. 484 of June 21, 2021 “On Approval of the Procedure of Granting Subsidies from Tatarstan Budget to Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs Performing Works on Conversion of Vehicles to Natural Gas (Methane) as Motor Fuel to Reimburse Their Lost Income Due to Provision of Persons Performing the Conversion, Discounts to Vehicle Owners for the Cost of Vehicles Being Converted”.
