Yesterday, on July 15, the first KAMAZ-6282 electric bus started operating in Kazan in test mode.
The public transport, innovative for the Tatarstan capital, will run on trolleybus route No. 3 from the Rechnoy Port stop to Akademika Glushko street. The electric bus will be tested for three months. Feedback from citizens about the innovative transport will be taken into account when summing up the results of the tests.
The KAMAZ-6282 electric bus produced by NEFAZ, a subsidiary of the automotive giant in Bashkortostan, is one of the company’s most high-tech products. It is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, including dual-zone climate controls, advanced telematics and media systems, and free Wi-Fi. Media screens with route information and USB slots for charging mobile devices are installed inside the E-Bus. The total capacity of the electric bus is 80 people, including 35 seats. The low floor is adapted for passengers with low mobility, the middle platform is equipped with the storage for wheelchairs and baby carriages. The electric bus is silent and smooth.
Maximum speed is 75 kilometres per hour, range on fully charged batteries is 50 kilometres. The electric buses are recharged at ultra-fast charging stations, which allow the electricity reserve to be replenished in 10-15 minutes.
