The Vladimir Region is one of the most economically developed regions in Central Russia. Tatarstan is interested in further strengthening of interregional cooperation. This was stated today by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with Governor of Vladimir Oblast Vladimir Sipyagin. The meeting took place at the Kazan Kremlin.
During his visit to Tatarstan, Governor Sipyagin visited the KAMAZ plant and the Alabuga Special Economic Zone and also studied the republic’s experience of developing high-tech industries on the example of Innopolis.
Before the start of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Vladimir Sipyagin signed an agreement between the Tatarstan Government and the Vladimir Oblast Administration on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, and cultural cooperation, and an action plan to implement the agreement until 2023.
Among promising areas of interaction, President Minnikhanov mentioned cooperation in mechanical engineering, the development of the NGV market (including delivery of automotive equipment), overhaul of trucks, agribusiness, and expansion of the volumes and ranges of mutual supplies.
During the conversation, the parties discussed cooperation in a number of areas: digitalisation, improvement of public spaces, business development, personnel training, tourism, education, and cultural exchange.
