Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting with Valery Shadrin, Director General of the Aerospace Systems Experimental Design Bureau under the PROMTECH Corporation.
The meeting was held at the MAKS 2021 International Air and Space Show, which takes place on July 20 to 25 in Zhukovsky near Moscow. The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the aviation industry.
The Aerospace Systems EDB, part of the PROMTECH Corporation, is a leading developer of systems and components for the aviation industry, engine building, and space technology.
The Industrial Technologies Corporation (PROMTECH) is a full-scale research and production company with a large volume of output, performing a significant amount of R&D activities to create high-tech aircraft systems and assemblies. The main centre of Corporation’s competences is located in Dubna and includes the following enterprises: Aerospace Systems EDB, PROMTECH-Dubna, Dubna Cable Plant, Dubna Switching Equipment Plant, and PROMTECH-Service Maintenance and Repair Centre. The PROMTECH Corporation also includes Kazan production companies Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant and PROMTECH-Kazan.
Federal Competence Centre in Labour Productivity summarised the results of Q2 2021 in implementing the measures of the Targeted Support of Increasing Labour Productivity at Enterprises federal project by the regional competence centres in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Among 32 regions of Russia, Tatarstan took third place with a score of 8.1.
As of today, 60 companies participate in the Labour Productivity national project, more than 220 applications have been submitted, 123 of them have already signed agreements with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan to join the project.
Within the framework of the national project, 1,839 employees of participating enterprises have been trained in lean technology application tools, 58 sample streams have been created, which are the result of optimisation of production and/or auxiliary processes. Of these, 37 streams were created with the Regional Competence Centre of Tatarstan, while 21 streams were created with external consultants.
“Increasing labour productivity is the main reserve for achieving the goals outlined in the Strategy of Tatarstan until 2030. We thank the Federal Competence Centre for such a high assessment, but we expect to work actively in the coming years, as the number of enterprises, where the measures of the national project will be implemented, will increase significantly,” said Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with top executives of the Volga-Dnepr Group. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the MAKS 2021 International Air and Space Show.
The parties discussed the possibility of holding a conference on e-commerce and integrated services in Kazan this year with the participation of key market representatives. The event will be attended by carriers of all modes of transport, importers and exporters.
A cooperation agreement was also signed during the meeting.
Volga-Dnepr Group is one of the world leaders in the ultra-heavy and oversized cargo transportation segment. Since 1990, it has been representing Russian civil cargo aviation in the international market. The group includes three leading Russian cargo airlines. Its team has approximately 3,500 employees in 9 countries around the world.

Tatarstan is represented by 18 organisations. They include the Kazan Aviation Plant, the KMPO, the Kazan Helicopters, the Tulpar Aero Group, the Elecon Plant, the Kazan Aggregate Plant, the Kazan National Research Technical University, etc.
The Tatarstan President studied the latest developments in the aviation industry, including a tour of the newest Russian fighter jet. The aircraft is equipped with an optical sighting system for firing at targets on the ground and in the air, which also allows for all-round optical and radio reconnaissance. Rustam Minnikhanov also visited the outdoor exhibition at MAKS 2021, in particular, inspected the Russian Helicopters aircraft displayed at the exhibition.
While touring of the Show’s exhibition, Rustam Minnikhanov visited the stand of Technodinamika. Technodinamika Holding of the Rostec Corporation was established in 2009. The company includes 35 Russian factories and research institutes of the aerospace industry which employ more than 30,000 people. Today, the holding company implements a number of large-scale projects together with United Aircraft Corporation, Russian Helicopters, United Engine Corporation, Curtiss-Wright Corporation, etc. The company’s products are installed on almost every Russian passenger and cargo aircraft.
In November 2020, PSK AK BARS Stroy became a participant in the Labour Productivity national project. The company, jointly with the experts of the Tatarstan Regional Competence Centre in Labour Productivity (Centre for Energy-Saving Technologies under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers), is implementing a pilot project entitled “Optimisation of the Technical Specification Formulation Process”.
Within the framework of the national project, company’s employees successfully completed training on various lean production tools. At the diagnostics stage, together with the working group of the enterprise, value stream maps have been drawn up, and a schedule of measures to achieve the target state has been developed. Problem solving by these activities will allow the company to reduce the time of processes, increase production, and reduce inventory.
At the end of the diagnostic phase in June 2021, a project office has been established in the company.
The purpose of the project office is to initiate, implement, and monitor projects aimed to achieve target indicators of labour productivity increase at the enterprise by at least 10%, 15%, and 30% in the first, second, and third year in relation to the base year, to train personnel in lean production tools, and to involve personnel in continuous improvement process.
The Federal Competence Centre has summed up the results of assessing media coverage of the Labour Productivity national project in Russia’s regions in this June.
The Republic of Tatarstan is among the regions with the highest media coverage.

The Labour Productivity national project was approved by the May 2018 Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin that aims to create the conditions for continuous growth of productivity in the country. For this, a set of governmental support measures has been developed for businesses, which includes financial incentives, expert assistance in optimising production processes, introduction of online services into the digital ecosystem of an enterprise participating in the national project; formation of an innovator movement with WorldSkills experts and infrastructure.
In June, qualitative and quantitative media figures for the Labour Productivity national project increased markedly due to the active information support of the Productivity 360 Forum. The share of publications mentioning the National Project in the main role was 58% of all mentions of the project in the media.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Russian Federation Marc Michielsen and Economic and Commercial Attaché for the Walloon Region Gérard Seghers had a meeting today with Presidential Aide for Aviation Sector Ravil Zaripov on the sidelines of the MAKS 2021 International Aviation and Space Show. The meeting was attended by Ivan Kolchin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
During the conversation, the parties expressed their readiness to continue the development of bilateral cooperation in many areas, and in the aviation industry in particular.
PROMTECH-Kazan and the Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant of the PROMTECH Corporation will take part in the International Aviation and Space Show MAKS 2021 on the joint stand of Tatarstan.
PROMTECH-Kazan presented new developments for manufacture of on-board systems for generation of electric current, pipeline systems, distribution and conversion of electric power, switching and distributing devices, high pressure hoses. The company’s products are serial and innovative, and are in demand in the aviation industry.
Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant (KZSK), the enterprise represented at the regional stand of Tatarstan, demonstrated a high level of competence traditional for the PROMTECH Corporation both in production of the whole range of the KZSK product line and in development and production of new solutions for fire and frost resistant tapes LETSAR, engineering rubber goods, silicone and Thiokol sealants used in production of civil and special aviation equipment.
The programme of the Show includes business meetings and events with representatives of the PROMTEСH Corporation.

On July 10 to 16, 2021 a delegation from the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University (NCSPU) visited the Republic of Uzbekistan. The delegation consisting of Lenar Galiev, Advisor to the Principal and Aidar Akhmetov, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, accompanied by Tatarstan Representative in Uzbekistan Aidar Akhtareev had a meeting at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Tashkent. The agreement was reached on the participation of the NCSPU in the Rossotrudnichestvo programmes: a quota campaign for admission to universities of the Russian Federation in January to March 2022, joint events entitled “Territory of Health”, “Entertaining Math”, “Literary Evenings”. Agreement was also reached to hold an online Open Doors Day at the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University.
At the meeting in the representative office of Tatarstan in Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the issues of cooperation with the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan and the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University, career guidance events in Tashkent and Tashkent Province, participation of the NCSPU in international educational exhibitions in Uzbekistan.
In Uzbekistan’s Khorezm Province, the delegation held a series of meetings with school principals and school leavers. It also met with Damira Latypova, Chairperson of the Tatar Cultural and Educational Centre in the Khorezm Province, and reached an agreement to attract compatriots to study at the NCSPU.
The Kazan Helicopters of the Russian Helicopters holding (part of Rostec Corporation) is presenting for the first time the updated Ansat-M and Mi-38 helicopter with a passenger compartment for 30 seats at the International Aviation and Space Show. Visitors to the exhibition in Zhukovsky will be able to see the entire range of rotorcraft from light to heavy helicopters at the static display of the Russian Helicopters holding and in the flight programme of the air show.
The Ansat-M helicopter is demonstrated in a passenger version with 8 seats. The aircraft has completed certification tests on the main fuel system with increased capacity and confirmed its declared flight range of 640 kilometres. With the additional fuel tank, the range will increase to 790 km. The aircraft received upgrades to the main rotor and tail rotor blades, fins, autopilot, ventilation and air conditioning systems. New domestic lighting equipment was installed.
The Kazan Helicopters also presents Mi-38 helicopter for civil air transportation. There are 30 seats in the cabin, a place for a flight attendant is provided. Today, the passenger Mi-38 is the most capacious helicopter which allows to transport people according to the Russian civil aviation standards.
Ansat, Mi-38T, and Mi-17V-5 helicopters take part in the flight programme of the air show in single and group flights.
