On the 23rd of June, the teams of two fast-growing companies, Techno-Logica and SoftPipe, visited RMZ RariTEK as part of an ongoing and open exchange of experience, which is at the core of the company’s philosophy. The purpose of the visit was to study the experience of RMZ RariTEK in implementing the measures of the Labour Productivity national project. While RMZ RariTEK has already finished the 1st stage of the project on June 14, proceeding to the replication stage, the Techno-Logica and SoftPipe companies just join the National Project. The guests were interested in practical aspects: organisation of project office, goal setting, creation of reference sites and workplaces, ways of personnel involvement, etc.
The hosts had a lot to show and tell. The team of RMZ RariTEK, together with the experts from the Regional Competence Centre managed to achieve impressive results: to reduce process time almost two times from 19,680 minutes to 12,000 minutes, to reduce the in-process inventory from 102 units to 50 units, to increase the production output from 0.7 buses per day to 1 bus per shift, to reduce labour intensity of operations from 250 to 200 n/hour, to obtain economic effect of RUB 28 million, to completely change the production management system, to organise a reference site and reference workplaces, to change in-house logistics and to introduce a system of targeted storage of components, but most importantly, to introduce a culture of continuous improvement, to involve personnel in changes, to prepare a capable, trained team to replicate the successful experience gained.
