From February 18 to 19, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is scheduled to hold a field training in Cheboksary under the programme entitled “Federal Practice”.
During the traineeship, participants will learn about the measures of government support, development prospects in industry’s sectors, and will be able to ask questions to representatives of federal executive bodies, federal development institutes, and State corporations.

TatAgroExpo, the Tatarstan’s largest agro-technology exhibition, first in this year, will open at 8:00 a.m. on February 10.
Over 200 enterprises from 30 regions and 50 cities of the Russian Federation and representative offices of leading foreign companies will display their products in two exhibition pavilions. The exhibition will cover all areas of agribusiness: farm machinery, equipment and spare parts, plant protection products and fertilisers, seeds, processing, packaging, and sorting equipment, the latest scientific developments, products of Tatarstan’s farmers, and much more.
This year, the exhibition is presented under a new concept, “Chronological Chain”, which includes all the main areas of the agro-industrial sector (crops, livestock, and agricultural machinery) lined up in a processing sequence.
In addition, an extended session of the Board of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan will be held within the framework of TatAgroExpo’2021. An extensive programme will be available online as well. It is planned to hold thematic round table discussions on agricultural branches, workshops, and master classes on topical issues of agriculture and livestock farming development.
The exhibition and business programme will take place from February 10 to 12.
A conference dedicated to the cooperation of Tatarstan commodity producers with X5 Retail Group was held at the Kazan International Equestrian Centre.
The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chief Executive Officer of X5 Retail Group Igor Shekhterman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, and Director General of the Pyaterochka retail chain Sergey Goncharov.
Before the start of the conference, high-ranking guests examined the exhibition of Tatarstan manufacturers producing food products and non-foods.
During the conference, CEO of X5 Retail Group Igor Shekhterman and Director General of Pyaterochka Sergey Goncharov spoke about market development trends and strategies of X5 and Pyaterochka. Local manufacturers learned about the company’s approaches to assortment creation and the introduction of new items, talked about interactions in the production of their own brands, stimulation of demand, customer-oriented marketing and requirements to food products.
Also within the framework of the conference, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Tatarstan Government represented by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and X5 Retail Group represented by CEO Igor Shekhterman.
On February 4, a conference on expanding cooperation between X5 Retail Group and commodity producers of Tatarstan will be held on the territory of the International Equestrian Centre in Kazan.
The event will be attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chief Executive Officer of X5 Retail Group Igor Shekhterman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, and other honoured guests.
As part of the ceremonial event, a cooperation agreement will be signed between Tatarstan and X5 Retail Group.
In addition, an exhibition of food and non-food products of Tatarstan will be organised in the hall of the Kazan International Equestrian Centre.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) Yevgeny Primakov.
During the conversation, the parties outlined further steps to develop interaction between Tatarstan and Rossotrudnichestvo and discussed new forms of humanitarian cooperation and strengthening ties with compatriots in the difficult epidemiological situation.
The meeting was also attended by Irek Zinnurov, who previously headed the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Azerbaijan - the Russian Information and Cultural Centre in Baku. In 2018, Marat Gatin, who previously held the post of Deputy Director at the External Relations Department under the Tatarstan President, became the deputy head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Egypt and the director of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Alexandria.
During their two-day trip to Tatarstan, the delegation of Rossotrudnichestvo visited the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency to study the investment potential in Tatarstan, the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Tatarstan House of Peoples’ Friendship.
Sollers Ford will produce 771 vehicles ordered by the Russian Post. The delivery will cover all regions of the country; the Post already received the first batches of vehicles in late December 2020 and in January 2021.
The Russian Post purchased such a large batch under the advance purchase programme of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The order consists of three Ford Transit modifications and includes buses in the 13+1 configuration, as well as insulated and all-metal vans, some of which will be sent to the Post’s courier service.
All vehicles are painted in corporate colours and branded with the Russian Post logos. All-metal vans with a long wheelbase and a middle roof are equipped with a 2.2 litre diesel engine developing up to 125 hp and 350 Nm of torque, a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Isothermal vans have diesel engines with a volume of 2.2 litres (155 hp / 385 Nm), completed with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
All Ford Transits are equipped with state-of-the-art electronic systems that improve driving safety and provide a comfortable environment for the driver and passengers. As optional extras, all vehicles will have air conditioning and a Bluetooth-enabled audio system with steering wheel controls so that the driver is not distracted by talking on the phone and switching buttons.
The Kazan Helicopters of the Russian Helicopters Holding (part of the Rostec Corporation) received approval from the Federal Air Transport Agency for the installation of Mku30 satellite communication systems on Ansat helicopters. This option will provide passengers with high-speed Internet access during the flight.
The Ku-band satellite communication system by the MOST - Satellite Systems company provides Internet access at a speed of up to 2 Mbps in the coverage area of the Yamal communication satellites. It allows organising video conferences on board the helicopter, uninterrupted transmission of large amounts of data and high-quality video images in real time. Data transmission to passengers’ mobile devices is provided using a Wi-Fi access point.
For the first time, the Ansat helicopter equipped with the new Mku30 satellite communication system was presented at the 53rd International Paris Air Show 2019. Russian Helicopters Holding and MOST-Satellite Systems signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of joint promotion of helicopters equipped with satellite communication systems manufactured by this company during the HeliRussia 2018 International Helicopter Industry Exhibition.
On 29 December 2020, an upgraded Ansat-M helicopter with an extended flight range (up to 800 kilometres with an additional fuel tank) took to the skies. The upgraded version features improved stability, the latest avionics equipment, and an improved heating and ventilation system. In 2021, the rotorcraft will be equipped with a three-channel autopilot.
Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited the Interregional Contest of the Russian Association of Innovative Regions in the Industrial Robotics skill (INNOSAB) at the Sabinsky Agrarian College. As part of the event, Minister Karimov held a meeting on the topic: “Introduction of Industry 4.0 Technologies into the Industry of Tatarstan”. The event was also attended by Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullinn, Deputy Minister of Public Administration Digital Development, IT and Communications of Tatarstan Radik Gismyatov, Head of the Sabinsky Municipal District Rais Minnikhanov, and representatives of industrial enterprises.
After the official part, a report by Deputy Minister Radik Gismyatov was heard on federal and republic’s measures to support companies working in the IT sphere.
Afterwards, the floor was given to republic’s guests, representatives of state-of-the-art high technology companies: Aleksandr Yashkin, Director General of FANUK, one of the leading manufacturers of industrial automation equipment, and Viktor Polyakov, Director General of Tibbo Systems (Aggregate Association, Tver) specialising in the development of computer software for various industries: energy, trade, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, agriculture, transport, and others.
In conclusion, all parties noted the need for the development of robotics in the republic and for further work to introduce high technology into the production processes of industrial enterprises.
The Tatarstan’s Regional Competence Centre for Labour Productivity (based on the Centre for Energy Saving Technology of Tatarstan under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers) has successfully passed the certification of the Federal Competence Centre within the framework of the Labour Productivity national project
The commission comprised representatives of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Federal Competence Centre, as well as heads of RCCs in other regions. The certification process was held within the correspondence and in-site stages. Companies participating in the national project, APK Kamsky and Chelny-Khleb, were selected for evaluating a completed project and a project underway, while one of the certification points is the Process Factory evaluation. All performance indicators of the Tatarstan’s Regional Competence Centre received higher evaluations than those established by the Federal Competence Centre.
“We became the first certified RCC in the country, this is our common success and the merit of each employee”, said Head of the Tatarstan’s RCC Shamil Bayramov.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, a total of 105 enterprises of the basic non-resource sectors of the economy are participants in the national project, while the target for 2024 is the involvement of 249 organisations. The regional centre has successfully implemented more than 50 projects to increase productivity in various sectors of the republic’s economy.
POZIS (part of the Tecmash Concern under the Rostec Corporation) is actively developing its own outsourcing model in order to increase production efficiency. In 2020, purchases from domestic manufacturers amounted to about RUB 800 million.
POZIS is one of the leaders of Tatarstan in the field of interaction with small and midsize businesses. The company’s partners in the region are 11 entities that supply more than 20 products on a long-term basis for POZIS refrigeration equipment.
The company, together with small and midsize businesses, is constantly working to improve the quality of components. Given their location in the city’s industrial zone, they can rely on receiving prompt advice from the company’s relevant technical services. The company also participates in joint marketing research and coordinates the implementation of production processes.
As part of their visit, the executives of the Tatarstan Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry studied the diversification and digital transformation programme of POZIS.
The guests were shown production facilities implemented within the investment project “Comprehensive Production Development of Household and Medical Refrigeration Equipment Based on Introduction of High-Tech Equipment and Advanced Technology”. A visit was also organised to several small and midsize businesses that fulfil orders for POZIS.
