Sollers Ford will produce 771 vehicles ordered by the Russian Post. The delivery will cover all regions of the country; the Post already received the first batches of vehicles in late December 2020 and in January 2021.
The Russian Post purchased such a large batch under the advance purchase programme of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The order consists of three Ford Transit modifications and includes buses in the 13+1 configuration, as well as insulated and all-metal vans, some of which will be sent to the Post’s courier service.
All vehicles are painted in corporate colours and branded with the Russian Post logos. All-metal vans with a long wheelbase and a middle roof are equipped with a 2.2 litre diesel engine developing up to 125 hp and 350 Nm of torque, a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Isothermal vans have diesel engines with a volume of 2.2 litres (155 hp / 385 Nm), completed with a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
All Ford Transits are equipped with state-of-the-art electronic systems that improve driving safety and provide a comfortable environment for the driver and passengers. As optional extras, all vehicles will have air conditioning and a Bluetooth-enabled audio system with steering wheel controls so that the driver is not distracted by talking on the phone and switching buttons.
