The Kazan Helicopters of the Russian Helicopters Holding (part of the Rostec Corporation) received approval from the Federal Air Transport Agency for the installation of Mku30 satellite communication systems on Ansat helicopters. This option will provide passengers with high-speed Internet access during the flight.

The Ku-band satellite communication system by the MOST - Satellite Systems company provides Internet access at a speed of up to 2 Mbps in the coverage area of the Yamal communication satellites. It allows organising video conferences on board the helicopter, uninterrupted transmission of large amounts of data and high-quality video images in real time. Data transmission to passengers’ mobile devices is provided using a Wi-Fi access point.

For the first time, the Ansat helicopter equipped with the new Mku30 satellite communication system was presented at the 53rd International Paris Air Show 2019. Russian Helicopters Holding and MOST-Satellite Systems signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of joint promotion of helicopters equipped with satellite communication systems manufactured by this company during the HeliRussia 2018 International Helicopter Industry Exhibition.

On 29 December 2020, an upgraded Ansat-M helicopter with an extended flight range (up to 800 kilometres with an additional fuel tank) took to the skies. The upgraded version features improved stability, the latest avionics equipment, and an improved heating and ventilation system. In 2021, the rotorcraft will be equipped with a three-channel autopilot.
