In 2020, the POZIS company (part of the Tecmash Concern under the Rostec Corporation) almost doubled the output of medical refrigeration equipment to combat COVID-19. The greatest demand is for pharmaceutical refrigerators and freezers, including special refrigeration units for storing blood, plasma and vaccines.

For the production of all POZIS medical equipment, all necessary technical solutions are used to meet the present-day “cold chain” requirements, i.e., the storage of drugs while maintaining constant temperature conditions and GMP standards.

Also, the enterprise has significantly increased the output of disinfecting equipment. The production of bactericidal irradiators-recirculators has increased 8.5 times.

The increase in the production and sales of disinfecting equipment became possible due to a loan received from the Industrial Development Fund under the Combating Epidemiological Diseases programme. The funds received were used to purchase materials and components for the production of bactericidal irradiators-recirculators.

Medical refrigeration and disinfection equipment is one of the main areas in the civil segment of POZIS; these are products with high export potential that include more than 160 modifications of medical devices holding registration certificates from the Roszdravnadzor. The quality level of the products meets European and international standards.

One ampoule of the Sputnik V vaccine is intended for five people, while the expiration date after its opening is only two hours, so Tatarstan citizens should take a responsible approach to vaccination after the registration and come to the medical facility at the appointed time.
