Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited the new production site of divinyl styrene synthetic rubber (DSSR) with a capacity of 60,000 tonnes a year and styrene-butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) at Nizhnekamskneftekhim.

DSSR has attractive properties for tyre manufacturers. Application of DSSR in tyre production allows achieving the increase of its service life, better grip on wet, icy roads, and fuel economy. Another new type of polymer to be produced at the plant is styrene-butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). These products are used as additives for asphalt concrete pavement and roofing materials.

The Tatarstan President toured the DSSR production site. State-of-the-art technologies in line with international standards of industrial and environmental safety were used in the construction of the new production line. The production line has an up-to-date air emission purification unit at the rubber extraction phase - this additional measure enables preventing the emission of pollutants into the air.

The opening ceremony was attended by TAIF’s Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Ruslan Shigabutdinov, Chairman of the Management Board of SIBUR Holding Dmitry Konov, and Director General of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Ayrat Safin.

Today, a launch ceremony was held at the TANECO refinery complex in Nizhnekamsk to put into operation a catalytic cracking unit, a hydrogen plant, and an oil production unit. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Tatneft Nail Maganov.

Total investments in the three new facilities exceeded RUB 31 billion. When erecting the new facilities, Tatneft secured orders for the plants in nearly twenty Russian cities: in Kazan, Bugulma, Saint Petersburg, Ufa, Izhevsk, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Taganrog, etc. The equipment used is 95% domestic-made.

President Minnikhanov noted that today TANECO continues to develop hi-tech projects. Then he presented a number of government awards of Tatarstan. After that, Rustam Minnikhanov visited the new production facilities.

Since 2010, a total of 21 units have been put into operation at TANECO, the designed capacity of the oil refining complex is more than 15 million tonnes a year.

Nail Maganov thanked the Republic’s leaders for the support in implementing new projects. He said that four more new plants are slated to open this year.

Earlier, the President also toured the construction site of the second delayed coking unit. The unit capacity is 2 million tonnes a year. The new project will increase the oil refining volume to 15.3 million tonnes a year with a residual-oil-free production.

Using the Mapping tool, the current, ideal, and target value stream maps have been developed and digitised. Mapping is a key tool for visualising and analysing material and information flows, identifying losses and potential for improvement in the process. Properly conducted, mapping provides an opportunity to visually see and understand how the process works, where value is created, and where losses occur.

The current state map created by the working group with the support from the Tatarstan’s RCC experts shows the associations between all of the elements in the office process, the problems, and areas for improvement.

The working group also created a map of the process target state - it compares the opportunities of the office process identified during the analysis with the needful requirements for maximum efficiency of the processes.

In the process, primary problems are collected. A problem is an obstacle on the way to achieving the target, a discrepancy between the current state and the target one.

Every year on June 22, on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, the day on which the Great Patriotic War began, a nationwide moment of silence is announced at 12.15 Moscow time.

It was in these minutes in 1941, that the citizens of the Soviet Union were officially informed of the attack on the country by Nazi Germany and declared the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

A moment of silence is a reminder to the world of the aggression against our country and of the unbreakable will and courage of our multinational people, who did not submit to fascism and gave the world victory in the Second World War. It is a symbol of common and eternal national memory and mourning for all those who perished and all the victims of fascism, connecting generations in rejecting aggression and Nazism, defending universal human values and educating present and future generations in the tradition of good and justice and the values of peace and friendship.
