The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan joined the All-Russian “Forest Planting Day” campaign. Employees of the Ministry took part in planting young trees in the territory of the Laishevsky District.

The “Forest Planting Day” is a sort of a holiday that is celebrated in many countries worldwide, and, as its name suggests, is associated with tree planting, restoration of lost forests, or aspiration to plant trees and develop urban and suburban areas: parks, squares, etc. The purpose of this event is not only reproducing and augmenting the republic's forest resources, but also fostering an attitude of care towards forests, attracting the public's attention to the problems of its preservation, and improving the environmental setting and the habitat of the citizens.

In the republic’s territory, such forest-forming species will be planted as pine, European spruce, Siberian larch, small-leaved linden, mountain ash, etc.

On April 28, in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, its Deputy Minister Almaz Khusainov met with the delegation of the Riga City Council headed by its Chairman, Mayor of Riga Nil Ushakov. The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.

During the event, the guests were delivered a presentation of the Tatarstan’s industrial potential. Almaz Khusainov introduced major enterprises of oil, gas, chemical, and mechanical engineering sectors of the republic, such as TAIF, KAMAZ, Ford Sollers, Kazan Helicopters, Gorbunov KAZ, Zelenodolsk Shipyard, ElAZ, KMPO, Kazankompressormash, and others.

Nil Ushakov briefly talked about the results of his visit to Kazan, including the signing of an agreement on bilateral cooperation between the capitals of Tatarstan and Latvia, which involves the exchange of expertise and experts in the field of local government, culture, sports, education, tourism, environmental issues, social protection, and health care.

The first Riga-Kazan flight was launched on the night of 26 to 27 April this year.

From April 24 to 28, members of the working group for the implementation of the Tatarstan wind power plant project, chaired by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Sergeyev, visited Germany. The delegation also included representatives of the Grid Company, the Tatarstan Regional Dispatching Office of the Unified Energy System, and the Russian Wind company.

Today, the Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Plant (branch of Tupolev Corporation), was visited by Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Yury Borisov, and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Bocharov.

The high-ranking officials were accompanied by President of the United Aircraft Corporation Yury Slyusar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Aide to Tatarstan President Ravil Zaripov, Director General of Tupolev Corporation Aleksandr Konyukhov, and First Deputy Director of Tupolev Corporation and Director of Gorbunov KAZ Nikolai Savitsky.

During their visit, the top officials inspected workshops and production sites of the aircraft manufacturer. In addition, a meeting took place of the interdepartmental working group on the fulfilment of the Defence Procurement and Acquisition programme.

On April 27, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a round table meeting within the framework of the 9th All-Russian Congress of Youth Governments dubbed “Cadres Are Key to Everything!”

In order to encourage the creative activities of metrologists at enterprises and organisations of the Republic of Tatarstan, enhance their level of qualification and professional competence, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tatarstan Centre for Standardisation, Metrology, and Certification announce the holding of the Republic’s contest “Best Goods and Services in the Republic of Tatarstan” in the category “Substantial Contribution to the Development of High-Quality Products and Rendered Services”, the sub-category of the “Best Metrologist of the Republic of Tatarstan” in 2017.

On April 28, the Zelenodolsk Shipyard n. a. Gorky will see the solemn ceremony of laying down the second follow-on border patrol vessel of project 22100 Okean.

The border guard vessel (patrol boat) of the new-generation Okean project developed by Almaz Central Maritime Design Bureau (St. Petersburg) is the first ship in the contemporary history of Russia designed entirely for the requirements of maritime border guards (the Coast Guard of the Russian FSB Border Service).

The mission of an Okean-project patrol boat is the protection of the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation. It is also intended for finding and rescuing crews and passengers of aircraft, ships, boats, and other water crafts in distress; rendering assistance in fighting fires on ships, towing and escorting emergency ships to places of shelter; ensuring the actions of the special operations units of the Russian FSB in combating terrorism and piracy, preventing smuggling and illegal migration.

As part of the introduction of innovative solutions into production processes, Ford Sollers installed new high-tech equipment at its engine plant in Yelabuga. The retrofitting was carried out at the quality control and additional testing sections. The retooling of the facility also included a new testing area; the plant acquired innovative digital industrial cameras for remote monitoring of the production process.

Six new industrial cameras verify the correct installation of engine parts by comparing numerous image parameters obtained during shooting. New cameras are installed at a number of engine plant stations to ensure continuous monitoring for critical characteristics of engine structure in the production process.

On April 25, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov and the delegation of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic headed by its Deputy Chairman of the Government Vyacheslav Kosenkov.

During the meeting, Albert Karimov made a presentation of the economic and industrial potential of Tatarstan. The parties also discussed the development of cooperation between regional enterprises, including that in petrochemicals, the increase in polymer supplies, investment, healthcare, tourism, and sports.

Today, in the House of Tatarstan Government, a meeting of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers has held, “On the State of Implementation Practices and Results of the Fulfilment by the Ministries and Agencies of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Governmental Task for the Management Based on Indicators for Assessing the Quality of Life of the Population and the Efficiency of Their Activities”.

The event was attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, Head of the Tatarstan Presidential Office Asgat Safarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, etc.
