From April 24 to 28, members of the working group for the implementation of the Tatarstan wind power plant project, chaired by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Sergeyev, visited Germany. The delegation also included representatives of the Grid Company, the Tatarstan Regional Dispatching Office of the Unified Energy System, and the Russian Wind company.
The choice of the country for the visit was due to the high level of local wind power development: in terms of the installed capacity of wind power stations (50 GW), Germany ranks third worldwide and first among the EU countries, as well as due to the relevant competence of German conterparts in the use of wind power plants.
In the course of an extensive programme that included a visit to the Hanover Industrial Fair, a meeting at the Thuringian Agency for Energy and Green Technology (ThEGA), visits to Thüringer Energie AG (TEAG) power company, service companies and ENERCON educational centre, Windpark Mihla and electrical substation, and a meeting at operating company Windkraft Thüringen GmbH, members of the Tatarstan delegation received answers to important issues concerning the construction of windparks, as well as the connection of wind turbines to the electrical grids, and dispatching of such projects.
