On 1 October 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov visited an agricultural fair held in Kirov District of Kazan.
Tatarstan producers from Kamsko-Ustyinsky District, Tetyushsky District, Zelenodolsk District, Laishevsky District, Buinsky District, Vysokogorsky District, Drozhzhanovsky District, and Zainsky District are selling their goods at the fair.
Producers of agricultural goods and major agricultural organisations of the republic supplied RUB 3.4 million worth of products to the fair.
From 30 September to 1 October 2016, Kamaz Culture Centre in Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the 1st regional stage of the annual open Republic’s Working Youth Creativity TV Festival ‘Nashe Vremya – Beznen Zaman’.
Winners of the regional stage are teams of PAO Kamaz, AO Ammoni, MBU Molodezhny Tsentr (Youth Centre) of Agryzsky District (the Republic of Tatarstan), and Chemical Plant Karpov. These teams will compete in super finale of the festival.
On 30 September 2016, during the official event dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of AO Radiopribor, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov congratulated workers and employees with the enterprise’s anniversary.
Addressing to participants of the event, Albert Karimov noted that the plant is the Russia’s largest manufacturer of airborne IFF equipment, as well as radio-technical systems for short-range navigation and landing.
Albert Karimov wished professional success and new achievements in work to executives and employees of the enterprise.
On 29 September 2016, Pyramid Culture and Entertainment Complex is hosting the celebration of the Day of Mechanical Engineer with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. Honoured invitees to this event include top officials and employees of the Tatarstan Presidential Administration, Tatarstan State Council, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, federal officials and top executives of major industrial enterprises of the region. But the main heroes of the day are common workers: members of labour dynasties, young engineers, field service persons, machine operators, mechanics, design engineers, as well as retired workers of plants and factories.
The festive programme involves a concert and a ceremony of presenting well-deserved awards to best representatives of the sector.
On 29 September 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting of the Board of Directors of OAO Tatneftekhiminvest-holding. The meeting was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
During the meeting, participants discussed issues associated with promising areas of development of OOO Kontsern Karpov, considered key projects of Tatarstan Nanotechnology Centre, and studied the developments of Arbuzov Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry under the Russian Academy of Sciences and OAO Moscow Institute of Material Science and Efficient Technologies.
On 29 September 2016, Kazan hosted a sales and buying session between the federal trading company Lenta and manufacturers and suppliers from Tatarstan.
The aim of this event is to promote high-quality and competitive products of Tatarstan manufacturers to domestic and foreign markets.
Organisers of the event are the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The sales and buying session was attended by over 100 Tatarstan manufacturers of food and non-foods products, including farmers and representatives of SMEs. The session was also attended by representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Lenta retail chain (Saint-Petersburg).
Within the event, top executives of Lenta retail chain made presentations of the company’s services. Participants of the sales and buying session were informed about conditions for supplying local products to the chain.

Official and entertainment events dedicated to the Day of Mechanical Engineer are being organised by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade jointly with the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs, and Tatarstan mechanical engineering enterprises.
On 27 September 2016, the Canada-Tatarstan Business Forum was held within the working visit of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Toronto, Canada.
During the bilateral forum, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov made a presentation of Tatarstan’s industrial potential and described the current situation and promising areas for trade, economic and technology cooperation between Tatarstan and Canada.
Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that within the trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and Canada, the foreign trade turnover in 2015 totalled over USD 117 million.
According to Albert Karimov, there is a significant potential for development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Canada. Promising areas there are developing relations in investment, innovation and production sectors, mechanical engineering, automotive industry, petrochemicals, health care, production of medicines and pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
On 26 September 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Quebec Minister of Economy, Science and Innovation Dominique Anglade. The meeting was held at Bombardier and was attended by Aide to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Canada Aleksandr Darchiyev, and others.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov emphasised that today Tatarstan is intensively working with Pratt&Wittney and Bombardier in aircraft industry and engine-building activities. Tatneft is cooperating with a number of Canada-based companies in the field of heavy oil production technology.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is interested in the expansion of relations with Quebec and prepared to support the businesses of this region that will come to Tatarstan with their technologies, capitals, and innovation projects. Quebec is well known in Tatarstan for its developed aircraft industry. There are a number of enterprises manufacturing airplanes and rotary-wing aircraft in Tatarstan. He kindly offered Dominique Anglade to arrange a visit of local aircraft industry representatives to Tatarstan for a further sharing of experiences in this field.
On 26 September 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov and representatives of Tatarstan aircraft manufacturers as a part of Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a tour of Pratt&Whitney and Bombardier facilities in Montreal.
Representatives of Tatarstan delegation were shown production facilities of the plant, including a workshop for engines’ pre-flight testing and the samples of final products.
During the tour of Bombardier facilities, top executives of Canada-based company made a presentation of their economic potential and shared their plans for further development of the production operations. They noted that to date the main task for the Canada-based aircraft company is to enter the market of medium-range aircraft. The market is still under total control of Boeing and Airbus. In turn, Bombardier is prepared to offer a medium-range CS100 jetliner with the capacity from 100 to 125 passengers and CS300 jetliner with the capacity from 120 to 145 passengers. According to representatives of the company, these models are more fuel efficient than their main competitors: aircraft consume almost 20% less fuel.
