Albert Karimov presented Tatarstan industrial potential during Canada-Tatarstan Business Forum

On 27 September 2016, the Canada-Tatarstan Business Forum was held within the working visit of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Toronto, Canada.

During the bilateral forum, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov made a presentation of Tatarstan’s industrial potential and described the current situation and promising areas for trade, economic and technology cooperation between Tatarstan and Canada.

Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that within the trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and Canada, the foreign trade turnover in 2015 totalled over USD 117 million.

According to Albert Karimov, there is a significant potential for development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Canada. Promising areas there are developing relations in investment, innovation and production sectors, mechanical engineering, automotive industry, petrochemicals, health care, production of medicines and pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
