From 25 September 2016, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working visit to Canada. On 26 September 2016, the delegation will make a tour of major aircraft enterprises of the country, including Pratt&Whitney and Bombardier. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov scheduled meetings with Quebec Minister of Economy, Science and Innovation Dominique Anglade and representatives of the Canadian aviation industry.
On 27 September 2016, promising areas for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation will be considered at the Tatarstan-Canadian Business Forum. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov will make a presentation of Tatarstan industrial potential.
Within the programme, a meeting is also scheduled between Tatarstan delegation and representatives of Tatar community in Canada.
On 26 September 2016, Kazan State Power University hosted a workshop on Toyota Production System. The workshop was chaired by Vice President of Toyota Engineering Corporation Keisuke Ozawa.
When welcoming participants of the seminar, Tatarstan Acting Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin noted that Tatarstan is actively cooperates with Japan-based businesses. A successful example of that cooperation is the construction and commissioning of Ammoni facility in Mendeleyevsk to produce methanol, carbamide, and ammonia. Much work is being undertaken in Tatarstan to attract and implement a wide range of progressive methods and management systems aimed at increasing the labour productivity.
On 26 September 2016, Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting with representatives of German-based Micro-Hybrid GmbH.
From the Republic of Tatarstan, the meeting was attended by top officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and executives of AO Kazan Instrument Design Bureau.
During the meeting, representatives of Micro-Hybrid GmbH made a presentation of their company, parties signed an Agreement on cooperation and joint activities between Micro-Hybrid GmbH and AO Kazan Instrument Design Bureau.
On 24 September 2016, within the working visit of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Sakhalin, an Agreement was signed on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation for 2016-2018. The signatories of the document were Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Sakhalin Oblast Oleg Kozhemyako.
The document provides for interaction in various spheres and is the basis for the elaboration of interregional programmes, projects and action plans in specific issues.
Within the visit, the meeting was held between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Governor of Sakhalin Oblast Oleg Kozhemyako, top executives and leaders of Tatar societal organisations in Sakhalin Oblast.
25 September 2016 is the Day of Mechanical Engineer. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov is congratulating current and retired workers of the Tatarstan mechanical engineering sector with their professional holiday:

On 22 September 2016, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov had a meeting with representatives of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Japan. The meeting was held in the Tatarstan House of Government and was also attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and top officials from a number of Tatarstan ministries and agencies.
Ildar Khalikov emphasised that Tatarstan is actively cooperating with Japan-based businesses. “Many companies from the land of the rising sun are operating in the republic and successfully developing here”, said the Tatarstan Prime Minister.
Participants of the meeting considered various options for further development of cooperation between the parties. Particularly, top executives of this Japan-based corporation presented new solutions for the development of Tatarstan energy sector.
On 22 September 2016, Kazan hosted the plenary session “Promising Areas for Development of Power Engineering” within the 14th Professional Conference “New Russia. New Energy” organised by the Council of Power Producers. The official opening ceremony of the session was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and representatives of power generation enterprises and educational institutions.
Tatarstan Head of Government Ildar Khalikov noted that the conference held among power engineers will contribute to the development and improvement of the power generation and distribution system in the country.
We recall that Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, is hosting the 14th Professional Conference “New Russia. New Energy” initiated by the Council of Power Producers from 21 to 23 September 2016. Within the conference, it is scheduled to hold round table discussions, plenary sessions, offsite meetings, and panels aimed at finding solutions to main issues of the Russia’s energy sector.
On 21 September 2016, during the Question Time within the 21st session of the Tatarstan State Council, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov presented a report on: “Fulfilling Tasks of Product Import Substitution by Industrial Enterprises in the Republic of Tatarstan”.
In his speech, Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov briefed the audience on the results of developing the manufacturing industry.
At the end of his speech, Albert Karimov noted that in the follow-up to the Economic Council “On Development of Products Exports by Enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan” held in June 2016, the Export Strategy of the Republic of Tatarstan is being elaborated with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
On 21 September 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo) Dmitry Pristanskov. The meeting was held in the Tatarstan House of Government and was also attended by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Ayrat Nurutdinov, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Irek Faizullin, Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Azat Khamayev, Tatarstan Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin, Head of the Territorial Administration of Rosimushchestvo in Tatarstan Gulnara Sergeyeva, and etc.
Participants of the meeting discussed a wide range of issues regarding the interaction between Rosimushchestvo and Tatarstan.
In addition, parties considered a number of issues related to transfer of federal land plots to the regional ownership, as well as to the further industrial development of the region.
On 20 September 2016, during the meeting with employees and workers of Kazan Gunpowder Plant Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov bestowed a high State award of the Republic of Tatarstan, the medal of the order “For Merits to the Republic of Tatarstan”, to Director General of the enterprise Khalil Giniyatov.
