From October 1 to 12 in Kazan, the branch of the Trade Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan holds Doors Open Days for joining efforts in the bilateral promotion of exports and imports of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan.
The event schedule comprises business meetings, consultations and discussions with businessmen and top executives of enterprises carrying out or planning to carry out joint business operations, that is, interested in the purchase or promotion of goods and services in the Kazakhstan market.
The Kazan branch of the Trade Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan is located at 8/13 Karl Marx St. (building of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Kazan).
On Thursday, the Naberezhnye Chelny Organ Hall saw a ceremonial event dedicated to the main professional holiday of KAMAZ, the Mechanical Engineer’s Day.
“KAMAZ today is a well-known brand all over the world. KAMAZ exports vehicles to more than 40 countries of the CIS, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America.
I thank all factory’s current employees who, through their diligent and creative work, bring glory to their enterprise and enhance the prestige of our companies in the global market, as well as retired employees, who are an example of conscientious attitude to work, loyalty to the enterprise and devotion to their profession”, the Minister said.
At the event, Albert Karimov took part in the award ceremony, presented memorable diplomas and awards to honoured workers of KAMAZ.
Director General of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, Chairman of KAMAZ Trade Union Committee Aleksandr Vasilyev, and Deputy Head of Naberezhnye Chelny Municipality Fleura Andreeva also extended congratulations to current and retired employees of the company.
The event ended with a festive concert.
From September 25 to 27, a delegation from the Irkutsk Oblast headed by Minister of Economic Development Yevgeny Orachevsky was on a working visit in Tatarstan.
Within two days, the visitors held a number of working meetings with officials from the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, the Tatarstan Ministry of Economy and the Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications, and visited the IT Park, Naberezhnye Chelny PSEUDA, and the Kama Industrial Park Master. Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov held a meeting with the delegation in working lunch format.
The main purpose of the visit was to exchange expertise and maintain trade and economic ties between Tatarstan and the Irkutsk Oblast.
Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a regular meeting of the Public Council. Members of the Public Council discussed two issues.
Firstly, information was presented on the situation in the republic’s consumer market. About 17,000 retailers and 30 retail markets currently operate in Tatarstan. The republic’s average provision of retail space per thousand inhabitants is 773 square metres (compared to standard 603.1 square metres). However, the fastest to develop is the chain retailing. The republic currently accommodates three international, six federal, and eight regional retail chains.
The second item on the agenda was government support measures for enterprises in Tatarstan. A detailed operative mechanism was presented for the Resolution of the Russian Federation Government No. 3 of January 3, 2014 (as amended by the Resolution No. 418 of April 6, 2018) for granting subsidies to enterprises for partial compensation of interest payments on loans received in 2014-2019 and/or payment of coupon yield on bonds issued in 2017-2019 as part of integrated investment projects in priority areas of the civil manufacturing industry.
Following the meeting, the Public Council is expected to formulate suggestions and possible extensions to the issues under discussion.
On October 1 and 2, Kazan will host the World Digital Summit on Internet Technology of Things (IoT World Summit Russia), which will bring together global leaders in the field of practical applications of the latest digital technologies from Russia, the United States, Europe and Asia, and will present advanced solutions in the field of IoT and IIoT, M2M communications, Big Data analytics, AI, CAT and DL, cybersecurity and blockchain.
Over 120 international experts will present the experience of implementing the most advanced technologies for the Industry 4.0, Digital corporations, Smart city and Energy, the participants will consider over 125 practical cases and raise relevant issues of improving efficiency of enterprises through the use of IoT technologies.
The summit will gather participants and delegates from 25 countries. Major international and Russian companies have already confirmed their participation in the summit.
The audience of the IoT World Summit Russia comprise CEOs, directors for strategic development and innovation, IT, production, digitalization, CTOs, managers of IoT, digital transformation and Industry 4.0, heads of data analytics, chief engineers, heads of information security and other divisions, participating in the strategic and innovative development of Russian and international companies.
Today, Minister Karimov took part in the delivery ceremony of natural gas powered buses to the passenger enterprises of the city of Kazan. The ceremony took place within the framework of the Gas into Motors international NGV rally.
The Government of Tatarstan has approved the governmental programme “Development of gas engine fuel market in Tatarstan in 2013-2023”. Within the framework of this programme, the republic carries out the conversion of vehicles to run on natural gas, together with the purchase of gas-powered vehicles, and a mechanism has been developed to subsidise the vehicle owners’ costs associated with the conversion of the fuel system to run on CNG. Over the duration of the programme, more than 4000 vehicles were converted and purchased.
It is important to note that the republic’s automotive manufacturers pay great attention to the development and production of gas-powered vehicles. Today, 15 NEFAZ buses and 15 Lotos buses, which use natural gas as fuel, were handed over for operation. The motor vehicle fleets of Kazan carriers will be joined by a total of 104 eco-friendly buses. The use of natural gas as a motor fuel reduces fuel costs and environmental damage from harmful emissions during operation.
New opportunities for the use of LNG, as well as prospects for cooperation and sustainable development in the Asian-Pacific Region (APR) will be discussed by the participants of the Russian Energy Week Forum on October 3-6 in Moscow.
Proposals on the LNG market formation, the specifics of dialogue with consumer countries and forecasts of the APR socio-economic development will be presented by the largest APR players of the LNG market. The event will be moderated by Liu Hongpeng, Director of Energy Division at United Nations ESCAP. Speakers will comprise representatives of energy ministries from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, as well as representatives of Novatek, the Skolkovo Energy Centre, PT Anglo Euro Energy Indonesia, Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation.
The Energy Efficiency and Energy Development International Forum titled “Russian Energy Week” (REN) will be held in Moscow from October 3 to October 6, 2018. The aims of the event are to discuss the present-day global energy agenda, to determine the main avenues for fuel and energy sector development, and to seek optimal solutions to current challenges.
The total number of attendees in the Moscow site of REN 2017 exceeded 10,000. The number of foreign countries participating in the REN 2017 was 94.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia announces a competitive selection of Russian electronic industry enterprises for the right to be granted subsidies from the federal budget for partial compensation of interest payments on loans received from Russian credit institutions for the implementation of infrastructure projects, including clusters in the field of radio electronics, in accordance with the Resolution of the Russian Federation Government No. 110 of February 17, 2016. Envelopes with applications and attached documents are accepted for participation in the competition within the period from October 1 to October 4, 2018.
Subsidies are provided to organisations of the radio electronic industry that have passed the competitive selection for the right to be granted subsidies on loans received for the implementation of integrated projects of creating industry’s infrastructure, including clusters in the field of radio electronics, the implementation period of which does not exceed 5 years, with the total value of:
Production development of smart management systems: up to RUB 1 billion.
Today, the vehicles are passing through the territory of Tatarstan. The longest Gas into Motors international NGV rally is moving nearer to the Tatarstan’s capital.
A total of 15 trucks, cars, and buses from Russia, China, and Kazakhstan fuelled by natural gas (methane) take part in the rally. The Russian participants includes gas-driven truck tractors, intercity buses, commercial and passenger vehicles manufactured by GAZ Group, RariTEK, KAMAZ, UAZ, and AVTOVAZ.
The rally is meant to showcase natural gas as a cost-effective, eco-friendly and safe vehicle fuel and to demonstrate the diversity, usability, excellent quality and dependability of gas-powered machinery.
As part of the Russian stage of the Gas into Motors rally, after the completion of the Tatarstan section, the route will traverse Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, and Torzhok. The rally will conclude on October 4 in St. Petersburg.
The Gas into Motors is the world's longest natural gas rally. The total length of the route is 9,881 km.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a meeting with the delegation from the Novosibirsk Oblast, which included representatives from republic’s ministries and organisations.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan German Lerner made a presentation of the republic’s industrial potential to the Novosibirsk Oblast delegation and noted that there are good prospects for cooperation development between both regions, and not just those in trade and economic activities.
During the meeting, representatives of the Novosibirsk Oblast companies presented their innovative developments in the field of housing and communal services, information technologies, and industrial equipment. The parties agreed to consider the cooperation opportunities in these areas in more detail.
The cooperation between Tatarstan and the Novosibirsk Oblast is carried out on the basis of the Agreement on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technology, Social and Cultural Cooperation of June 7, 2011. Tatarstan enterprises exported trucks and cars, pharmaceutical products, automotive tyres, consumer goods to the Novosibirsk Oblast. The major import items of the Novosibirsk Oblast to Tatarstan are mayonnaise, beer, wallpaper, paint and varnish materials, confectionery.
