Another Public Council meeting

27 September 2018, Thursday

Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a regular meeting of the Public Council. Members of the Public Council discussed two issues.

Firstly, information was presented on the situation in the republic’s consumer market. About 17,000 retailers and 30 retail markets currently operate in Tatarstan. The republic’s average provision of retail space per thousand inhabitants is 773 square metres (compared to standard 603.1 square metres). However, the fastest to develop is the chain retailing. The republic currently accommodates three international, six federal, and eight regional retail chains.

The second item on the agenda was government support measures for enterprises in Tatarstan. A detailed operative mechanism was presented for the Resolution of the Russian Federation Government No. 3 of January 3, 2014 (as amended by the Resolution No. 418 of April 6, 2018) for granting subsidies to enterprises for partial compensation of interest payments on loans received in 2014-2019 and/or payment of coupon yield on bonds issued in 2017-2019 as part of integrated investment projects in priority areas of the civil manufacturing industry.

Following the meeting, the Public Council is expected to formulate suggestions and possible extensions to the issues under discussion.
