Today, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan hosted a final meeting and presentation of letters of gratitude from the Kazan Federal University for a series of lectures on topical issues of energy law.

The letters of gratitude were presented by Head of the Business and Energy Law Department at the Faculty of Law Dr. Andrey Mikhailov, and Associate Professor of the Business and Energy Law Department at the Faculty of Law Pavel Ivanishin.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Marat Minibayev was awarded for active participation in organising and conducting the cycle of lectures dedicated to topical issues of energy law.

For active participation in organising and conducting a cycle of lectures on the Energy Law course, letters of gratitude were also presented to Head of Legal Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Railya Gilfanova, Leading Expert of the Administrative Group at the Tatarstan Regional Dispatching Office of the Unified Energy System Tatyana Matyukhina, Head of Legal Department at the Tatarstan Grid Company Regina Khusainova, Head of the Department for Legal Support of Electricity and Heat Markets at Tatenergo Guzel Gazizullina, Head of Electricity and Capacity Procurement Department in the Wholesale Market at Tatenergosbyt Eldar Mainaksky, and Head of the Legal Department at TGK-16 Igor Galimov.

Kastamonu, Russia’s leading wood products manufacturer, will increase its presence in the Baltics. In 2021, it plans to boost its laminate flooring exports to Lithuania.

In 2020, Kastamonu held a 5 per cent share of the Lithuanian laminate flooring market. This was achieved through cooperation with two major DIY chains: Depo (8 stores in Latvia and 5 in Lithuania) and Ehituse ABC (12 stores in Estonia). The specifics of the flooring market in the Baltic countries are such that products supplied by one retail chain often end up on sale in neighbouring countries as well. Despite the strong competitive environment, Kastamonu anticipates it will take up approximately 10 per cent of the market this year.

All the Kastamonu flooring brands are already present in the region and there is high demand for the company’s products.

In 2021, the company has begun working with another major Lithuanian retail chain, SKV (24 stores), and it is expected to increase its market share to 18 per cent by the end of the year.

Apart from this in 2021, Kastamonu began co-operation with Komfort, one of the biggest flooring retail chains in Poland, which has 157 stores.

The Kastamonu MDF, HDF, and laminate flooring plant has been operating in Tatarstan since 2014. The company produces laminate boards of wear-resistance class 31 to 33 and various types of MDF boards, including moisture-resistant ones.

A total of 417 people have become the first graduates of 2021. All 49 projects received positive evaluations.

The staff of the Regional Competence Centre of Tatarstan in Productivity Improvement took part in this defence, participating as experts in the evaluation committee.

Defence of live projects is the final module of the Productivity Leaders federal management training programme, an opportunity to manifest themselves by demonstrating the full range of skills acquired during the six months of intensive training.

Apart from the opportunity to gain the skills necessary to run a business efficiently, the programme enables participants to become members of a large community of like-minded professionals. Such communities help entrepreneurs to develop, share their accumulated experience of building efficient production systems, and spread a culture of high performance.

Leaders PRO has brought together more than 4,400 professionals, and by the end of the year 6,490 people will have completed the training.

Within the framework of implementing certain measures of the Labour Productivity national project, the first training module was held for the employees of the regional competence centres. The training took place in Moscow at the Process Factory of the Federal Competence Centre. There were many participants at this training from all over the country, which gave a useful impetus for development as well as an opportunity for exchange of experience in the field of labour productivity.

The first day of the training opened with the Fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing, during which the trainer dwell on many examples of enterprises in various areas, from food processing to heavy engineering companies.

The first day of the training concluded with an exchange of experience between the participants and some case studies from different industries.

On the second day, the Implementation of Improvement Project was discussed. Under this topic, the main blocks of project implementation were explained in detail.

The next training day was opened with the Mapping topic. Within this block, the participants studied methods of constructing maps of current, target and future states.

The second block on the day was Production Analysis aimed at obtaining timely and accurate data on the progress of the production programme at any stage of product manufacture, as well as at quickly solving problems arising in production.

The 9th Our Time - Beznen Zaman Working Youth Festival has been granted the auspices of the Russian Commission for UNESCO. This was announced in an official letter from Grigori Ordzhonikidze, the Executive Secretary of the Commission and Ambassador at Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the Directorate of the Festival.

“Today, the Festival, first organised in 2013, is an integral part of the cultural life of Tatarstan, a sought-after and socially significant project, whose goals and objectives fully meet the priorities of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in the field of youth policies”, the letter says.

In the letter, the Commission’s Executive Secretary wished the organisers success in the event, fulfilment of all their tasks, inexhaustible inspiration, and all the best.

Specifically, this year’s zonal rounds will take place as follows: October 8-9, Almetyevsk; October 15-16, Nizhnekamsk; October 22-23, Kazan; October 29-30, Zelenodolsk. The second stage will take place on November 12-13 in the Volga Region Academy of Sports and Tourism, where the Super Final will be held.

November 15, a gala concert will take place at the Pyramid Entertainment Centre, where a Grand Prix winning team will be announced and the traditional Tatarstan President Challenge Cup will be awarded, along with a cash prize of RUB 500,000. 

Perfume and cosmetics factory Aromat has announced it has tripled its production capacity. Thus, the company is now capable of producing up to 60 million units of cosmetic products per year. Only last year, this figure did not exceed 18 million.

The increase in production capacity was made possible by the implementation of a two-year retrofitting programme of the company. More than RUB 350 million have been allocated to its implementation. Latest-day cosmetics production equipment was purchased and installed, including three automated packing lines made in Italy, five semi-automatic bottling lines, and packaging blowing lines.

Finance Director of Aromat Lenar Khayrutdinov elaborated on the retrofitting programme at the presentation of the company’s new production lines. The event was attended by head of the Corporate Governance Dept. at the Ministry of Industry and Trade Regina Akhmetova and Russian State Duma Deputy Irek Boguslavsky. 

Aromat is the largest perfume and cosmetics company in Russia. The company offers a wide range of beauty products, including specialty products for mothers, children, and men. On the shelves of Russian shops one can find its eau de toilette, perfumes, eau de cologne, hair products, sunscreen cosmetics.

Another area of the company’s business is products for the healthcare sector: gels for ultrasound examinations, ECG, disinfectants, and surface treatment products.

PROF-movement 2021, a youth career guidance forum organised by KAMAZ and supported by the Tatarstan Government, was launched in the IT Park on Monday.

The 7th PROF-movement youth forum, which has been held in Naberezhnye Chelny since 2014 under the auspices of KAMAZ, this time brought together 200 students from 30 higher and vocational educational institutions of the country. This year’s forum is dedicated to the digitalisation of economy and production and, due to the specific nature of the PROF-movement 2021, the event was organised by Quantorium, the KAMAZ co-founded children’s technology park.

Director of Finance of KAMAZ Andrey Maksimov opened the forum by saying that every year the forum gets bigger and more interesting. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Rodion Karpov emphasised contribution of KAMAZ to the organisation of the forum as a company that enjoys authority not only in the country, but also internationally.

Andrey Maksimov gave the start to the forum by pushing a symbolic button. During the week, participants will attend a series of master classes in website and mobile application development for businesses, automated line design, systems using machine vision, as well as the basics of geo-informatics, industrial logistics, and other disciplines from the strongest teachers of Quantorium.

The results of the competition will be announced on the seventh of August.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov chaired today a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on reconstruction/construction of tram and trolleybus lines, contact networks, and rolling stock renovation.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the current state of the urban electric transport infrastructure as well as ways to improve and implement a series of projects aimed at developing the transport infrastructure in the republic.

According to Minister Karimov, there is a serious problem with renewing electric transport rolling stock in the republic, especially in Kazan. “There is a problem not only with the rolling stock, but also with the state of the overhead lines and traction substations. The networks and traction substations are also severely worn out and require reconstruction and new construction,” he added.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Roads of Tatarstan, the need for reconstruction and construction of new overhead contact networks and traction substations in Tatarstan is about RUB 12.5 billion.

Tatarstan’s Alabuga Basalt Technology Centre has been approved for a RUB 499 million loan from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF) under the Components Programme, which will launch a new plant for the production of continuous basalt fibre with a capacity of 5,300 tonnes of product per year.

Basalt fibre is a high-performance and environmentally friendly insulation material. The products are used as a filler in the production of construction materials (asphalt, concrete), as a feedstock for composite polymer materials, fireproof clothing, fireproof mats, filters, as well as for pipe reinforcement and cable protection.

In total, the Expert Council of the Industry Development Fund (VEB.RF Group) approved seven loans for projects in St Petersburg, the Moscow, Sverdlovsk, and Orel regions, as well as in the republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Krasnoyarsk Territory. The amount of the loans from the IDF will exceed RUB 1.88 billion, and the total budget for the projects will be RUB 4.5 billion.
