The traditional Spring 2017 interuniversity job fair for students and graduates of KNITU and other universities of Kazan was held at the KNITU-KAI.
The mission of this event was to provide every graduate of the KNITU-KAI with job opportunities, to ensure that students could assess the situation on the labour market, learn about the activities of enterprises and organisations, and seek places for apprenticeship or internship programmes. The job fair is held with support from the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The common platform of the KNITU-KAI brought together more than 60 employing enterprises, organisations, and firms from many cities and regions, offering job opportunities in different professional areas.
The programme of the Career Fair also included a tour of the KNITU-KAI Museum (“KAI. History Milestones”), presentations by leading enterprises, organisations and firms, demonstration of promotional materials, and the promotional programme of the KNITU-KAI students’ labour movement dubbed “You, Me, He, She: Along the Entire Country!”.
At the Fair, applicants received consultations by experts on professional self-determination and career development.
The 50,000th Ford Kuga smart crossover came off the production line of the Ford Sollers facility in Yelabuga. The vehicle is equipped with such technologies as Lane Keeping Aid, SYNC 3 multimedia system with an improved 8" touchscreen, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The vehicle is also equipped with the ERA-GLONASS emergency response system.
The production of the renewed Ford Kuga vehicle was launched at the Ford Sollers plant in Yelabuga in late 2016. By the start of the smart crossover production, the equipment in production departments underwent some retrofitting, and new testing and quality control technologies have been introduced. Today, in addition to the Ford Kuga crossover, the company manufactured the Ford Explorer off-road vehicle, and maintains a full-cycle production of Ford Transit commercial vehicles. The production of Ford-branded vehicles in the Yelabuga Plant began in early 2012; the total number of Ford vehicles produced to date is about 115,000.
In the first half of 2017, the Kuga smart crossover became the most sold Ford- branded model with a total of 2,138 vehicles; sales in March grew by 21% compared to the previous month.
On April 24, the Gorky Zelenodolsk Shipyard will hold the ceremony of laying the keel of Grad, the tenth small missile ship of Project 21631 developed by the Zelenodolsk Design Office.
The ceremonial events are expected to be attended by representatives of the Russian Government, the top officials from the Russian Ministry of Defence, ministries and agencies of Tatarstan, the executives of the Zelenodolsk Municipal District, Ak Bars Holding Company, as well as representatives of the designer and contractors.
The small missile ships of Project 21631, being built at the shipyard since 2010 for the Russian Navy, are multi-purpose river-sea vessels equipped with the most advanced missile, artillery, anti-sabotage, anti-aircraft, and electronic countermeasure weapons. The ships of this project are dedicated to the protection and defence of national economic zones.
Five ships of this project, the lead ship Grad Sviyazhsk and the follow-on ships Uglich, Velikiy Ustyug, Zelenyy Dol, and Serpukhov, are already assigned to the Russian Navy. Four more ships of this project are under construction at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard; these are Vyshniy Volochek, Orekhovo-Zuyevo, Ingushetiya, and Grayvoron.
Today in the House of Tatarstan Government, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin met with the President of KITZ, Mr. Yasuyuki Hotta. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov.
The Japan-headquartered KITZ Corporation began its work in 1951 as a manufacturer of valves for fluid control systems. The main products on which KITZ Corporation is banking are highly reliable ball valves, globe valves, and butterfly valves. Over its more than 60 years of history, the company has grown into one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial valves.
According to the Tatarstanstat, within the period of January to March 2017, the republic's enterprises shipped goods of their own production, performed jobs, and rendered services in the total amount of RUB 519,070.5 million at current prices. The industrial production index in March 2017, as compared to March 2016, amounted to 105.1%, and in January to March 2017 y-o-y, 104.7%.
These days, the delegation of Tatarstan headed by its President Rustam Minnikhanov is on an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Traditionally, the head of Tatarstan is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.
Today in Tehran, the Tatarstan delegation attended the business forum, where the participants discussed the priority ways of developing Tatarstan-Iranian cooperation in the trade and economic sphere. Further, official meetings were held with representatives of the country's leadership.
On the eve of the business forum, the Joint Tatarstan-Iranian Working Group on the development of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tatarstan gathered at their first meeting.
On April 20, the delegation will visit the city of Mashhad and hold meetings with Governor General of the Razavi Khorasan Province Alireza Rashidian and Chairman of the Astan Quds Razavi Foundation Ebrahim Raisi.
In addition, the programme of the official delegation of Tatarstan includes visits to Mashhad University, the Imam Reza Architectural Complex, and the Mashhad Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, where a meeting will be held with representatives of the Razavi Khorasan business community.
Today in Moscow, Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Timur Samatov took part in the regular meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the issue of expanding the range of products for disabled persons and elderly citizens within the framework of the 11th All-Russian Forum “Nation’s Health as Key to Russia's Prosperity”.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the Strategy for the Development of Rehabilitation-Oriented Industrial Products until 2025 (as adopted by the Public Council under the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the fulfilment by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade its part of the commitments undertaken by the Russian Federation in pursuance of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The working group includes representatives of federal and regional authorities, representatives of sectoral associations, experts in the field of rehabilitation industry, and Russian organisations for persons with disabilities.These days, Tatarstan hosts a delegation from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) headed by its Minister of Investment Development and Entrepreneurship Anton Safronov. The delegation included representatives of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Technopark Yakutia, and others.
Within the framework of the visit, meetings are scheduled with executives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Economy with the participation of representatives from the Kama Innovation Territorial and Production Cluster of Tatarstan, the Tatarstan Agency for State Orders, Interregional Relations, and Investment Activities, the Tatarstan Export Support Centre, and the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
The programme of the official delegation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) includes visits to the Multifunctional Business Centre (MFC), the IT Park, the Digital Technologies Centre, the town of Innopolis, and the SEZ Alabuga.
The working visit will last until April 20, 2017.
On April 19, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan visited Airon, one of the leading Tatarstan enterprises for the production of interior doors, as part of their working trip to Bugulma.
The purpose of the visit was to study the manufacturing and economic activities of the company and innovative technologies used in the production. The visit also includes discussing the main production problems and seeking ways to solve them.
In addition, the head of the enterprise Albert Kadyrov shared his know-how of maintaining the pace of production and sales in a highly competitive environment.
On April 19, the Lenta 221 Mall in Kazan hosted the All-Russian “No-Turnstile Week” campaign to be held within the occupational guidance project entitled “Working in Russia”. On this day, the shopping mall was visited by more than 30 students and teachers of the Kazan Trade and Economic College. The director of the shopping mall led a tour of the hypermarket telling about the Lenta Company and the main advantages of working in it.
