Meeting with President of Japan-based KITZ

Today in the House of Tatarstan Government, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin met with the President of KITZ, Mr. Yasuyuki Hotta. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov.

The Japan-headquartered KITZ Corporation began its work in 1951 as a manufacturer of valves for fluid control systems. The main products on which KITZ Corporation is banking are highly reliable ball valves, globe valves, and butterfly valves. Over its more than 60 years of history, the company has grown into one of the world's leading manufacturers of industrial valves.

When welcoming the guests, Alexei Pesoshin expressed his hope that this visit would serve as a new impetus to the successful and long-term cooperation of the republic with the Japanese company.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Tatarstan briefly spoke about the Tatarstan’s economy and its most promising sectors. He also recalled that Tatarstan is one of the most investment-attractive regions in the country.

In turn, Mr. Yasuyuki Hotta said that this was his first visit to Russia and its regions, and he was pleasantly surprised by all that he had seen.

Then the participants discussed the prospects for their cooperation.
