Mass vaccination against coronavirus began in Tatarstan today

18 January 2021, Monday

Starting from today, mass vaccination against coronavirus has begun in Tatarstan.

“Anyone can get a Covid-19 vaccine after registering at a local health centre”, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan confirmed to the Tatar-Inform News Agency.

One ampoule of the Sputnik V vaccine is intended for five people, while the expiration date after its opening is only two hours, so Tatarstan citizens should take a responsible approach to vaccination after the registration and come to the medical facility at the appointed time.

Sputnik V is a two-phase vaccine, after the first visit for vaccination one will need to come again in 21 days. If acute respiratory viral infection symptoms appear between the two phases, vaccination will have to be interrupted, so you should be doubly careful of your health.

Antibodies to coronavirus are expected to appear two weeks after the second vaccination.
