The International Forum on Energy Efficiency and Energy Development titled “Russian Energy Week” will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg from October 4 to 7. The delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan will also take part in the forum. It will be composed of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, heads of Tatarstan enterprises, as well as representatives of ministries and agencies.
The Forum is expected to discuss the main challenges facing the energy sector of the Russia’s economy and the urgent problems in the development of gas industry, oil industry, coal industry, petrochemicals, electric power, energy conservation, and energy efficiency.
The Russian Energy Week will bring together industry leaders at the global communication platform, discuss current development trends, challenges faced by the present-day energy sector, and promote international cooperation in this area.
The Forum will be opened on October 4, 2017 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Energy for Global Growth plenary session.
In the short term, the Republic of Tatarstan would open its representative office in Japan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at the Tatarstan-Japan business forum.
He noted that the opening of the representation would contribute to the further development of Tatar-Japanese cooperation. Trade representative of the republic will be Tamerlan Abdikeyev.
In addition, a Protocol of Intent was signed at the forum between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Yokogawa Electric. The document was signed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and CEO of Yokogawa Electric Takashi Nishijima. In addition, in the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov, an Agreement of Intent was signed between Miyako Capital Ltd and the Tatarstan Venture Capital Fund.
The delegation from Tatarstan is in Japan on a working visit. Earlier, the Tatarstan President met with the Minister of Economy of Japan and business representatives.
On September 29, the Organ Hall of the Tatarstan’s Motor City hosted a large event dedicated to the professional holiday of the republic’s machine builders.
Shortly before the official part of the event, the heads of the mechanical engineering companies of Tatarstan made a tour of KAMAZ. The delegation visited the main assembly line and the cabin assembly line of the automobile plant, as well as the JV ZF KAMA.
The Tatarstan President and the honoured guests of the holiday saw the exhibition of the Tatarstan’s mechanical engineering sector located in front of the Organ Hall and inside it. Rustam Minnikhanov, congratulating all machine builders of Tatarstan, briefed them on the industry’s achievements. He noted that in eight months of 2017, the output of products and services by the enterprises in the sector reached RUB 290 billion.
Then, a festive concert took place followed by the awarding ceremony for the best machine builders in a number of categories.
Also on this day, KAMAZ and KUKA Robotics RUS signed a strategic partnership agreement that provides for the introduction of industrial robots at the automotive facilities of the corporation.
The meeting of the Commission for considering applications to sign agreements for placing projects in the Naberezhnye Chelny Priority Social and Economic Development Area (TOSER) was held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.
Opening the Commission’s meeting, Aleksey Pesoshin noted that a total of 13 applications for placing projects in the Naberezhnye Chelny TOSER were approved earlier with a total investment amount of over RUB 18 billion.
The Commission members were briefed on the investment project of Chishme (part of the Rayu Group) that include production of caviar imitation, poultry and fish products.
The Commission members unanimously voted to sign an agreement with the company for the further placement of this investment project in the territory of the Naberezhnye Chelny Priority Social and Economic Development Area (TOSER).

The opening ceremony for the first line of the Penetron waterproofing materials plant took place today in Kazan. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Valeyev.
For twelve years, the only plant in Russia to produce the Penetron system materials was located in Yekaterinburg. From there, the world-famous waterproofing systems were sent to numerous construction sites in Tatarstan. But today the situation has changed.
Penetron-Russia Holding opened its own production facility in Kazan. The first line has already been commissioned, which is capable of manufacturing up to 5,000 tonnes of finished products a year. This volume completely covers the needs of Tatarstan and neighbouring regions in high-quality penetrating materials and waterproofing additives to concrete. At the same time, the plant's capacity will soon be doubled: up to 10,000 tonnes of the Penetron system materials will be produced annually. In other words, every tenth bucket of the Russia’s Penetron will be produced in Kazan.

To date, the Business Navigator SME covers 169 cities of the Russian Federation with a population of more than 100,000 people and capitals of certain regions in the Russian Federation, including major cities of Tatarstan, such as Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, and Almetyevsk.
Tatarstan has all chances to become a leader in the federal rating of heat supply efficiency. This statement was made by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov during the press conference with the Tatar-Inform Agency.
As an example, Almaz Khusainov cited indicators of equipping multi-apartment houses with building-level heat meters. Their availability level in Tatarstan is 94 percent, while in Russia it is 62 percent. Moreover, the proportion of up-to-date pipes in the republic is 47 percent against only 10 percent in the country in general.
“We have all chances to take leading positions in the all-Russian rating, but we will know the results later,” said the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
The results of the final heat supply efficiency rating for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation will be announced at the International Energy Efficiency and Development Forum titled “Russian Energy Week” to be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg on October 3 to 7.

Since 28 April 2017, the city of Kazan adopted and being implemented a municipal programme to support SMEs in 2017-2019. Under this programme, as a financial support tool, the municipality provides assistance to business people from Kazan in the form of subsidising part of the interest rate on the loans.
Businesses operating in priority areas can receive a loan of up to RUB 10 million for up to three years at 9.5%, and the Kazan Executive Committee will subsidise 5% of the loan agreement rate during the first two years of operation.
The priority areas of activities include such sectors as manufacturing, innovation, housing and communal services, waste collection, treatment, and disposal, recycling, consumer services, education, health care, physical education and sports, culture, public catering, domestic tourism, etc.
Businesses operating in highest-priority areas can get a loan of up to RUB 10 million for up to five years at 9.5%, while the Kazan Executive Committee will subsidise 7.5% of the loan agreement rate for the first three years of operation.
The highest-priority areas include the organisation of private kindergartens, hostels, hotels, mini-hotels, and the production of folk craft articles.
