From October 8 to October 10, a delegation of the Kirov Region headed by Deputy Chairman of the Kirov Regional Government Ilya Shulgin is on a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan.

The delegation included Kirov Region representatives from the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services, the Ministry of Business Development, Trade and External Relations, the Ministry of State Property, the Kirov Regional Development Corporation, Vyatka Regional Company, and the NGO Capital Repairs Foundation.

The main purpose of the visit is to exchange experience in attracting investments, public-private partnership, and cluster development.

Within the framework of the visit, meetings are expected with top officials from the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Tatarstan Ministry of Economy, the Tatarstan Government Contracts Agency, the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, the Tatarstan Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing, the IT Park, the Technopolis Himgrad, the SEZ Innopolis, the SEZ Alabuga, and the Kama Master Industrial Park.

On October 6, at the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, KMPO hosted a republic’s meeting dedicated to the development of children's technical creativity in Tatarstan. KMPO is the only enterprise in the republic supporting a technical study group on its premises for the specialist fields corresponding to the core activities of the supervising enterprise.

The meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, heads of industrial enterprises in the republic.

Within the framework of the event, the participants to the meeting were introduced to the activities of the KMPO Training and Production Centre intended for preparing, training and methodological support of the company's personnel, including the organisation of a technical creativity group for students of general education institutions in Kazan.

In the context of the vocational guidance activities carried out by the KMPO, a technical creativity group was created in 2013 for pupils of 7th to 9th grades of general education institutions in Kazan. To date, as many as 3 groups are functioning in the following areas: gas dynamics, automation & mechanisation, and 3D modelling.

On October 7, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan held a celebratory event dedicated to the past Day of Older Persons. It was attended by more than 30 veterans of the Ministry.

Ministry’s Chief Administrative Officer Aynur Shakurov noted this is largely due to their professionalism that the industry of Tatarstan has achieved outstanding success and continues to develop. The Pyaterochka federal retail chain joined the congratulations. On behalf of the company, the event was attended by Timur Baymullin, Deputy Director for Government Relations at the Pyaterochka’s Volga Division.

On this festive day, a festal dinner and an extensive concert programme was arranged for the retirees of the Ministry. In addition, they were presented with gift certificates.

On October 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

From the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the meeting was attended by all key ministers. The Tatarstan President was accompanied by Russian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sergei Kozlov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, and others.

Rustam Minnikhanov warmly welcomed the King of Saudi Arabia. “I'm very glad to see you again,” he said. “The dream came true – you came to our country.” In turn, the King of Saudi Arabia stressed that he had been keeping track of the developments in Tatarstan as one of the Russian regions.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further cooperation within the framework of the state-to-state Russian-Saudi relations, issues of Islam, etc. In addition, the topic was also raised concerning the interaction within the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, which is currently headed by Rustam Minnikhanov on behalf of Vladimir Putin.

On October 5, employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan took part in the environmental campaign titled “Forest Week 2017”. Participants to the action planted seedlings of fir trees in the forest reserve of the Laishevsky District, near the village of Peschanye Kovali.

This event will last till October 16, 2017. The republic’s campaign will be held in order to promote environmental awareness, improve the health of urban and suburban forests, etc. In other regions of the Russian Federation, the campaign is called “Forest Live”.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan informs enterprises on the beginning of the next open competition “Tourist Souvenir from the Republic of Tatarstan 2017” being held at the initiative of the Centre for the Development of Folk Arts and Crafts in the Republic of Tatarstan, in pursuance of the Resolution of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers No. 1623-R dated July 11, 2017. This event was initiated with an aim of developing the market of domestic tourist souvenirs, popularising the attractions and traditions of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Russian Helicopters holding accepted the next batch of medical helicopters Mi-8MTV-1 manufactured by the Kazan Helicopter Plant within the framework of the contract with the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK). Two aircraft equipped with medical modules were handed over to the end users, Altai Airlines and ChukotAVIA.

Mi-8MTV-1 will replenish the helicopter fleet of OOO Altai Airlines. The new helicopter will be used to carry out medical evacuation and perform flights under air ambulance tasks. The second helicopter Mi-8MTV-1 is intended for saving lives throughout the Chukotka Autonomous District.

In addition, until the end of 2017, Russian Helicopters should supply the GTLK with another ten Mi-8MTV-1, thirteen Mi-8AMT and six Ansat helicopters. According to the contract, the helicopters will be engaged in the top-priority project “Ensuring Timeliness in Providing Emergency Medical Aid to Citizens Living in Hard-to-Access Areas of the Russian Federation” approved by the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects.

On Thursday, October 5 at 10:00, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan will host the qualification phase to participants of the Republic’s Young Leaders Contest entitled “Vverkh” (Up!).

The Vverkh! Contest is the final phase of the Republic’s Human Resources Youth Project, where the best of the best are fighting for the opportunity to join the Youth Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The procedure is aimed at the revealing and evaluation of social design skills of each participant individually, as well as at promoting the awareness of the contestants about the activities and terms of reference of the ministries that they represent.

Each participant should submit a social project aimed at resolving the challenges existing in the ministry that he or she represents within the framework of the Contest.

Winners of the Vverkh! Contest will have an opportunity to work as trainees in government agencies, in public associations and large enterprises of the city and the republic, to become members of the Youth Government of Tatarstan, and also to undertake international internships under the youth programme.

The 50,000th Ford Transit vehicle came off the production line of the Ford Sollers facility in Yelabuga. The jubilee version of the Russia’s flagship LCV was the all-metal Race Red van, with a medium wheelbase and Duratorq diesel engine of 2.2 litres (125 hp), with a total permissible weight of 3.1 tonnes.

The production of Ford Transit in Russia started in early 2012. It was Ford Transit that was launched first at the Ford Sollers facility in Tatarstan. Today, the Yelabuga plant manufactures Ford Transit of the last, fourth generation under full cycle technology that include welding and painting the body. It should be added that Ford Transit vans and minibuses are used throughout Russia to deliver mail and goods, work in the ambulance service, take children to schools, carry out city and intercity transportation, and efficiently solve the tasks of small and medium-sized businesses.

The Russian gastronomic week in Iran (Tehran) will be held from November 1 to 2, 2017. The Russian Gastro Week will bring together more than 50 Russian food producers and about 150 importers and distributors from the Iranian side. The participants and guests of the event will see a large-scale exhibition of Russian foodstuffs and attend B2B meetings.

The Russian Export Centre will cover the expenses associated with renting and decorating the event site, as well as with providing the equipment needed for exhibition purposes. There is no registration fee. Travel and accommodation, as well as delivery of exhibition samples to Iran are ensured by the participants themselves.

The publication of a separate catalogue is planned that will provide a brief description of the companies’ activities and products offered for promotion to the market of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
