TatNIPIneft experts of Tatneft Company developed a new effective technology of MGES-M for watered oilfields.

TatNIPIneft development is successfully used for contour flooding in terrigenous reservoirs of porous and fractured-porous types, with permeable heterogeneity in the formation’s section or structure. The technology enhances the oil displacement efficiency due to the selective impact on the reservoir. The emulsion compositions developed by the Institute’s experts based on proprietary emulsifier are resistant to water erosion and are easily destroyed by oil. This makes it possible to straighten the injectivity profile of water-injection wells, to cover previously unreached oil-saturated interlayers thereby increasing the sweep efficiency.

The merits of the new development include its environmental friendliness, it does not have a negative impact on the environment. In addition, it requires only standard oilfield equipment that ensures transportation and injection of working fluids into the well, which excludes additional costs for equipment upgrade.
