In the run-up to the 3rd All-Russian GMP Conference, an interview by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev was issued in the Indian pharmaceutical magazine Express Pharma. The conversation took place at the iPhex 2018, the International Exhibition of Pharma and Healthcare held in May this year in New Delhi.
In an interview with journalists, Aleksey Savelchev spoke about the formation of the Russian pharmaceutical market and its regulatory and legal support, the main trends and forecasts for the development of the republic’s pharmaceutical industry.
The 3rd All-Russian GMP Conference with international participation titled “Russia and the World. Management of Potential Growth in the Pharmaceutical Market” will be held on August 27-29, 2018 in Kazan.
The GMP Conference will bring together leading international and Russian experts of the pharmaceutical industry, representatives of government authorities, leaders and professionals in pharmaceutical production, representatives of professional associations and communities – all in all some 1000 attendees from Russia and abroad.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia announced the start of the application process for participation in the competitive selection of new integrated investment projects in priority areas of civil industries for inclusion in the list of integrated investment projects.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Russian Government No.3 of January 3, 2014, subsidies are granted from the federal budget to Russian organisations on investment loans received in 2017-2019 in the Russian currency in the amount of 0.7 of the basic indicator calculated in accordance with the Resolution of the Russian Government No. 702 of July 20, 2016.
In turn, subsidies for loans received in 2014-2016 in the Russian currency are granted in the amount of 0.7 of the Russia’s Central Bank key rate to reimburse a part of the investment loan costs.
Subsidies on bonds denominated in the Russian currency are granted at a rate of 70% of the organisation’s actual costs for coupon yield payments on bonded loans.
All procedures related to filing the applications, document exchange, monitoring and supervision of compliance with the terms of granting subsidies, have now been translated into digital format.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted a working meeting with representatives of the Tatarstan-based OOO TLK, a producer of cold-pressed sunflower oil. The plant was launched in 2017 in Bugulma; investment in the first production line amounted to over RUB 30 million.
The products are of high quality and are already supplied to retail chains of Tatarstan and Russia. For this reason, the company plans to introduce advanced technologies aimed at increasing production capacity and expanding the geography of supplies.
During the meeting, experts from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan consulted the company on the available export opportunities for entering foreign markets, as well as on current government programmes for SME support.
Today, the Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre hosted a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov on the preparation and holding of the international specialised exhibition “Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials, and Equipment” (AKTO) and the aviation festival “I Opt for the Sky!”. At the meeting, the organisers discussed the preparations for the events scheduled for this major regional exhibition.
The AKTO exhibition is an effective business platform for discussing the issues of technological development of the aerospace industry.
A special business programme was announced for the period from August 8 to August 10 this year with the participation of top executives of the aerospace industry enterprises, representatives of government authorities, leading Russian and foreign scientists.
The business programme will be completed on August 10, 2018 with the traditional aviation festival titled “I Opt for the Sky!”, specially organised for all guests and residents of Kazan.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Russian Government No. 836 of July 17, 2013, a quota was established from January 1 to June 30, 2019 in the amount of 567,000 cubic meters for the export of birch logs (Betula spp.) when placed under the customs export procedure. The Resolution regulates the export of birch logs (FEACN EAEU code 4403 95 000 1) with a diameter of the smallest cross-section not less than 15 cm, not less than 1 m long, beyond the territory of the Russian Federation to states that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union. This type of raw material is essential for enterprises of the republic’s woodworking industry and for the Russia’s domestic market.
Today, the Marjani Institute of History under the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences hosted the international conference titled Tatarstan-Japan: History and Prospects of Mutual Relations. The conference was held for the third time within the framework of the Academic Cooperation Agreement between the Marjani Institute of History and the Centre for North East Asian Research (NEAR) of the Shimane Prefecture University.
Japan is one of the Tatarstan’s main strategic partners in the trade and economic sphere. Mutual bilateral cooperation is developing systematically and steadily in the automotive industry, in vocational education, retraining of professionals. In addition, joint projects are being implemented with major Tatarstan enterprises, such as Ammoni, TANECO, ICL-KME SC, and others. The 2017 foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Japan amounted to US$ 100.4 million, which is a 20% increase compared to 2016.
The conference was held as part of the regional events supported by the Embassy of Japan in Moscow within the framework of the Year of Japan in Russia.
On July 20, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited AO Ammoni and attended the meeting of the company’s Board of Directors.
During the meeting, Albert Karimov was unanimously elected Chairman of the Ammoni Board of Directors. Also within the framework of the event, the action plan of the company’s Board of Directors was approved for 2018-2019.
After the end of the meeting of the Ammoni Board of Directors, Albert Karimov met with the staff of the enterprise. At this get-together, the Minister noted the social and economic importance of the enterprise for the republic, which manages to retain its positions among the leading companies of the industry.
Also at the event, Albert Karimov, on behalf of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, awarded a commendation to Sergey Shevchenko for his many years of conscientious work, for his great contribution to the construction activities and organisation of production, and introduced a new Director General of the company, Timur Aliev, who previously held the position of Deputy Director General and Director of Kazan Office of Ammoni.
In the afternoon of July 20, the Minister took part in a meeting on the prospects of using liquefied natural gas in Tatarstan as a motor fuel, as well as on a pilot vehicle conversion project in the Mendeleyevsk Municipal District. The event was attended by representatives of the Tatarstan Presidential Office, the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, representatives of the Mendeleyevsk District Administration, and executives of RariTEK and KAMAZ.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects of using liquefied natural gas in Tatarstan as a motor fuel, the purposes for expanding its use, as well as the implementation of a pilot project for the conversion of vehicles in the Mendeleyevsk Municipal District.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister noted that Tatarstan is extremely interested in the implementation of the proposed project. Therefore, a more detailed study of a number of issues is required. Also, it is necessary to compile, jointly with relevant ministries and municipal districts of Tatarstan, a list of LNG-powered vehicles planned for purchase, to determine the technical and operational performance of LNG-powered vehicles based on the test results, as well as the economic effect obtained from operation of this equipment by enterprises and the republic in general.
Recently, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade held the Sibur’s Supplier Day jointly with Sibur Holding.
This event was organised with a view to presenting the corporate procurement policies of this Russia’s largest petrochemical holding, as well as its policies for import substitution of materials and technologies used by the company, and to establishing contacts for interaction with republic’s enterprises.
The discussion was attended by representatives of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, Mirrico Group, KMPO, Kazanorgsintez, Kazancompressormash and representatives of the engineering club under the Tatarstan’s Mechanical Engineering Cluster.
As a result of the event, it was decided to hold a joint meeting of the Mechanical Engineering Cluster of Tatarstan and the Competence Centre of SIBUR (Tyumen) with the participation of interested enterprises in Tatarstan, having previously identified the potential of Tatarstan’s enterprises for cooperation with Sibur Holding related to equipment supplies.
In addition, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Sibur Holding expressed their interest in the development of bilateral cooperation and the signing of the roadmap for the project titled “Expanding the Use of High-Technology Products from Organisations in Tatarstan”, including import-substituting ones.
On Tuesday, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, jointly with Sibur Holding, held a Polymer Day dedicated to the opportunities of interaction between polymer processing enterprises of Tatarstan and Sibur Holding.
The event addressed issues related to the expansion in the range of petrochemicals produced by Sibur Holding and the company's promising product solutions, which will be available to enterprises after the completion of one of the world's largest petrochemical investment projects, ZapSibNeftekhim.
The meeting was moderated by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Alexei Savelchev, who spoke about the development of polymer processing in Tatarstan.
At the event, it was decided to organise the interaction of oilfield chemistry cluster enterprises in Tatarstan with Sibur Holding and to consider the opportunity of creating a working group with Nizhnekamskneftekhim and Kazanorgsintez with a view to preparing amendments to regulatory and legal acts and sectoral standards for submitting initiatives to relevant authorities in order to increase the consumption of polymers in Russia.
