Today, a workshop was held on the premises of the Zelenodolsk plant POZIS chaired by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin and devoted to raising the labour productivity in Tatarstan’s industry and the practice of diversifying production at defence enterprises. The event was attended by executives and representatives of over 50 republic’s industrial enterprises, agencies, and universities.

Albert Karimov made a presentation “Digital Technologies as a Tool for Raising Labour Productivity” and mentioned that the Priority Productivity Improvement Programme, of which Tatarstan became a pilot region last year, is being transformed into the National Project. Raise in productivity is achieved through increasing the added value of products and reducing the working time for their production. One of the important factors in this regard is digitalisation, which is positively evidenced by the economy of Germany: from the introduction of digital solutions in 2013-2015, the added value of the Germany’s economy was 23%.

Further on, reports were heard on raising labour productivity and digitalisation of production (KAMAZ), on new opportunities for digital transformation in industry (СIFRA from RENOVA), on digitalisation in industry (Siemens), and on the prospects for industrial digital solutions in R&D (Kinetika Engineering Centre of the MISIS National Research Institute).

On August 1, Albert Karimov, as a member of the Tatarstan Government delegation, visited POZIS, a major enterprise of the Republic (POZIS is a part of the Techmash Concern (Rostec Corporation).

One of the visit points was a tour of the facilities for the production of household and medical equipment. In the course of the tour, the delegation inspected the highly mechanised manufacturing complexes for housing parts of refrigeration equipment, which have been developed and manufactured by the POZIS Mechanical Engineering Centre within the framework of the import substitution programme, as well as the POZIS production system at the refrigeration equipment’s main line. In the exhibition hall, participants discussed the prospects for the development of the market for diversification products and for the activities of the art painting workshop.
