Today, the conference room of the Ministry of Industry and Trade saw a traditional no-tie event with honoured guests, retired employees of the Ministry. In the first weeks of October, such meetings take place according to tradition within the International Day of Older Persons celebrations with the aim of expressing warm words of gratitude and appreciation to retired employees of the Ministry.
The event was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev, Deputy Director of the Volga Division at the Pyaterochka federal retail chain Timur Baimullin. Each participant was presented with gift certificates of the retail chain, and anniversary celebrants received flowers and words of congratulations.
The official part of the event ended with a concert programme and a buffet table.
On Friday, a ceremonial event was held in the capital of Russian cargo transport, Naberezhnye Chelny, on the occasion of a professional holiday, the Mechanical Engineer’s Day.
The area in front of the Concert Hall featured vehicles that finished the Kazan-Naberezhnye Chelny motor rally, passing through five cities of the republic. The celebrations took place in the organ hall, where Rustam Minnikhanov personally shook the hands of every young WorldSkills winner, wishing them great success in the upcoming WorldSkills events.
The best employees of the republic’s engineering industry, executives of enterprises, officials of ministries and agencies gathered in the Ceremonial Hall.
During the whole event, in the intervals between the concert numbers, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan and honoured guests awarded the best republic’s mechanical engineering employees, representatives of working dynasties in the industry, young talented design engineers and students of engineering lyceums.
It should be noted that the Hall, designed in the assembly workshop style with elements of futurism and technological design, became a real decoration of the professional holiday.
On October 12, KAMAZ saw a workshop for executives of Tatarstan enterprises on the implementation of the “Labour Productivity and Employment Support” project with the participation of Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Director General at Federal Competence Centre for Labour Productivity Nikolay Solomon, and Director General at KAMAZ Corporation Sergey Kogogin.
Minister Karimov opened the event noting that the key objective at the moment is the annual 5% increase in labour productivity in large and midsize businesses of non-resource sectors of the economy.
Nikolai Solomon described the main benefits of the national project entitled “Labour Productivity and Employment Support” in more detail. The task of the Federal Competence Centre is to create a resource at federal and regional levels that would contribute to enhancing labour productivity through the formation of uniform methods and approaches, dissemination of knowledge, training and creation of core competencies, development and implementation of standard solutions and best international practices.
Further, the workshop dealt with case of digital transformation at KAMAZ, the practice of implementing works at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard and Ak Bars Metal.
Today, Minister Karimov held a meeting of the working group on hydropower development with the participation of representatives from RusHydro. The participants studied the assessment of the hydropower potential for small and medium-sized rivers in the districts of Tatarstan, considered options and made suggestions on the issues of building small hydropower stations in the republic.
A working meeting with representatives of the RENOVA Group took place today at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan. Companies’ presentations were delivered by Director for Strategic Planning and Development at RENOVA Group Oleg Fomichev, Director General at AO T-1 Group Aleksandr Kukanov, and Director General at OOO Tsifra Igor Bogachev.
During the discussion, Albert Karimov noted that the republic devotes great attention to the development and implementation of digital technology in production; therefore, active work is underway for expanding cooperation with leading digital solution developers.
The meeting focused on the digital economy within the framework of integrated digital industry transformation projects – from process control to industrial analytics.
Today, during the visit of the Governmental Delegation of the Russian Federation to Israel, the Plenary Session of the Joint Israeli-Russian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held. The Russian part of the Commission was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Maxim Akimov, and the Israeli part of the Commission, by Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Minister of Environmental Protection of the State of Israel Zeev Elkin.
Albert Karimov delivered a speech at the session of the Russian-Israeli Commission by presenting the economic and investment potential of Tatarstan and speaking about the implementation of government programmes and projects. Minister Karimov stressed that Tatarstan has an interest in joint cooperation with Israel in matters of industry, high technology, energy, agriculture, and investment.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Elkin expressed interest in the visit of an Israeli delegation to Tatarstan.
The key topic of the Russian Energy Week International Forum this year (October 3–6, 2018) was “Sustainable Energy for a Changing World”. The plenary session was opened by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The forum was held with the support from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow and the Roscongress Foundation. The forum’s business programme comprises two main blocks:
The first one, Global Energy Agenda, touched upon aspects of energy development in a changing world, from the problem of accessing clean fuels in Asia-Pacific and African countries to energy development and use of new technologies in the Arctic.
The second one is Development Plans for Russian Fuel and Energy Sector. The track agenda highlighted the achievements and problems of the coal, oil, gas, petrochemical, electric power industries in the contemporary domestic fuel and energy sector – in particular, within the industry-wide events.
The main programme of the forum consisted of 67 events in various formats, such as plenary sessions, panels, round table discussions, lectures, meetings of industry experts, etc. A total of 471 speakers took part in the forum’s business programme.
Information Centre of the Russian Energy Week 2018 Forum
Last week, the 8th International Gas Forum was held in St. Petersburg. The Republic of Tatarstan was represented by employees of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food, KAMAZ, and RariTEK Holding.
Manufacturers at the Gas Forum traditionally strives to demonstrate new vehicles, products and equipment for the gas sector. For instance, RariTEK presented its first eco-friendly and economical bus Lotos 105 fuelled by liquefied natural gas, the first model from the line of low-floor gas-driven buses 10.5 metres long.
The forum’s business programme was also intense, comprising such events as the international technology workshop titled “Gas Motor Fuel. Vehicle’s Safe Operation” and the Russian-Korean technology workshop “Gas Engine Fuel”, where representatives of leader companies exchanged expertise and demonstrated their latest developments in the field of gas fuel and LNG.
On October 4, the Gas into Motors 2018 international NGV rally finished up in St. Petersburg within the framework of the 8th International Gas Forum. In 2018, the rally became the world’s longest of its kind, claiming to be entering the Guinness Book of Records.
Today, a rally of vehicles produced and assembled in Tatarstan started from Kazan on the occasion of the Mechanical Engineer’s Day. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Aleksey Savelchev delivered a welcoming speech at the ceremony. The participants include the vehicles manufactured by KAMAZ, Ford Sollers JV, RariTEK, TPK MTZ-Tatarstan, and Remdiesel. The exhibition was attended by students of high schools, technical colleges, and universities, who are planning to commit themselves to the engineering industry.
The route is specially built to visit five cities, the flagships of the engineering industry in Tatarstan with the republic’s largest enterprises. The rally started from Kazan, followed by Zelenodolsk, Almetyevsk (on October 10), Nizhnekamsk (on October 11), and will end on October 12 in the capital of the Russian cargo transport, Naberezhnye Chelny. It is important to note that vehicles participating in the rally will be put on display on the day of arrival in each of these cities to demonstrate it to everyone interested, so that republic’s residents could take a closer look at the products of the mechanical engineering enterprises.
On October 5 and 6, the first qualifying round of the 6th Republic’s Annual Open Festival of Working Youth Creativity “Our Time - Beznen Zaman” took place at the KAMAZ Culture Palace in Naberezhnye Chelny. The zonal competition was attended by 40 organisations and enterprises from 10 municipal districts of Tatarstan - Aktanyshsky, Agryzsky, Menzelinsky, Muslyumovsky, Tukayevsky, Yelabuzhsky, Mendeleevsky, Mamadyshsky, Kukmorsky districts and the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
The contestants demonstrated their creative talents in the categories “Musical Area”, “Dance Area”, and “Minute of Fame”. The teams are composed of working young people aged 18 to 35, for whom the participation in the competition programme is not a professional activity.
According to the novelties in the Festival’s Regulations, only individual performers, individual creative teams, as well as teams representing one organisation can take part in the Festival starting from this season. Combined teams of cities and districts, culture professionals are not allowed to participate in the festival.
For participants of the Naberezhnye Chelny qualifying round, free workshops were held by leading experts in pop vocals, modern choreography, and stage performance.
