Between 8 and 10 August 2012, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hugo Jose Garcia Hernandez makes a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. During his stay in Tatarstan, the Venezuelan Ambassador to Russia will make a tour of the Republic’s leading enterprises of petrochemical industry (OAO Tatneft, OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim, OAO TANEKO).
On 8 and 9 August 2012, pursuing the popularisation of blue-collar jobs and dissemination of young workers’ achievements and best practices, OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim hosts the regional Best Welder 2012 contest under the All-Russian professional skills competition for the title of the Best Professional.
Chair of the Organising Committee of the regional Best Welder 2012 contest, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Gulnara Akhmadeyeva emphasizes that “This contest boasts of the federal status and is reflecting the changes currently occurring in the society. The blue-collar and engineering occupations are becoming increasingly prestigious and the professional skills of working men appear as a prime criterion for their appraisal”.
The contest comprises representatives of twenty enterprises in various branches of the Republic’s manufacturing industry (petrochemicals, oil production, power and mechanical engineering).
The winner of the regional contest will take part in the final federal contest in Ufa on 1 to 10 October this year. The contest winners will be rewarded with the prize money.
OAO Kazan Helicopters, a member of the Russian Helicopters Holding, has obtained the Quality Management System Certificate (QMS) from an independent international organization for certification, BUREAU VERITAS Certification, in accordance with the international standard EN 9100:2009, AS9100 Revision C/JIS Q 9100:2009 “QMS. Requirements to Enterprises of Aviation, Space, and Defense Industry”.
The Standard is based on the precise regulation of activities, as well as the standardization of technological and production operations and processes. It is worthy of note that AS 9100 is a US standard; its analogue in Europe is EN 9100 and in Asia, JISQ9100. Kazan Helicopters has been certified to comply with all the said standards and the QMS of the enterprise currently meets the international requirements. The certification has allowed Kazan Helicopters to become a part of OASIS (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System), an international electronic database of aerospace industry suppliers. The certification audit for compliance with the international aerospace standard AS 9100 С was held at late 2011.
Between 3 and 5 August 2012, Yelabuga will host the 5th All-Russian Spasskaya Fair. Over 400 craftsmen will take part in it. The fair will present jewelleries, national garments, designed clothes (linen), downy goods, wood carvings, artistic weavings, ceramic wares (toys), Gzhel ceramics, leather works of art, patchwork sewing items and dolls, minted and engraved products, metal carvings, products of bast, glass, and vine by maestros of the folk art from 44 cities and 20 townships of the Russian Federation. The fair will be attended by over 40 tanning craftsmen from Russia and other countries, with their master classes for all comers.
On 1 August 2012, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov chaired the meeting concerning safety measures at the large consumer market facilities. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Interior Affairs, the Tatarstan Emergency Committee, the Federal Service for Customers' Rights Protection in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Main Board on the Veterinary Service of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the executive committees of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, and Nizhnekamsk, and top executives of shopping and entertainment centres and retail markets of Kazan.
During the meeting, the regulatory and law enforcement bodies gave special priority to the strict observance of the current legislation in the field of public order, fire prevention, sanitary, epidemiological and veterinary safety at the consumer market businesses, particularly in the run-up to Kazan Summer Universiade 2013.
On 1 August 2012, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Pierre Ferring. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan. The presentation of the Republic’s industrial and investment potential was held as a part of the meeting. The parties discussed the issues of cooperation development between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the field of trade and economic relations and innovations.
Between 14 and 17 August 2012, the Republic of Tatarstan holds the 5th International Exhibition “Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials and Machinery. Kazan 2012”. The exhibition organizers include the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, The Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, OAO Kazan Helicopters, Tupolev Kazan State Technical University (KNITU) and others.
On 14 August 2012, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is scheduled to attend the official opening ceremony of AKTO 2012. The exhibition agenda includes reviewing of exhibit display, anniversary museum displays of OAO Tupolev and KNITU, plenary session of the 4th International Research and Applied Conference “Cutting-Edge Technologies, Materials, Machinery and Accelerated Recovery of Qualified Workforce Capacities as Key Elements in Revitalization of Domestic Aircraft and Rocket Engineering”, as well as signing of agreements and a press conference.
On 25 July 2012, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva took part in the Republic’s Seminar & Meeting “Development of Mechanical Engineering Cluster as a Condition for Implementing Personnel Support in Township-Forming Enterprises of Zelenodolsk Municipality” organised by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade jointly with the Administration of Zelenodolsk Municipality, the Kazan Tupolev National Research Technical University, and mechanical engineering enterprises of Zelenodolsk. In the course of the Seminar, attendees were familiarised with the creation concept of science and educational clusters in Tatarstan, the current state of the educational cluster in the Zelenodolsk Municipality and strategies of its development; they reviewed mechanisms of interaction between cluster participants and discussed current employers’ requirements to multi-level professional training in the educational cluster.
On 25 July 2012, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov chaired the meeting attended by the executives of the Tatarstan representative bodies in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Tatarstan Presidential Administration, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Non-Commercial Partnership Volga Quality Center, Tatarstan Center of Industrial Subcontracting.
The meeting summarized the performance of the Tatarstan representative bodies in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the 1st half of 2012, identified tasks and promising avenues for their activity in the trade and economic as well as humanitarian spheres, discussed the formats of further close collaboration of the Tatarstan ministries, agencies, enterprises and regions having Tatarstan representative offices.
On 24 July 2012, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov met with Director General of OOO Intersertifica-TÜV Jointly with TÜV Thüringen Vadim Rozhdestvenskiy. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeeva, executives of the Centre of Extended Education, Quality Management and Marketing under the Kazan Federal University, Non-Commercial Partnership Volga Quality Centre, OOO TKB Intersertifica (Moscow).
The meeting dealt with the issues of interrelation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, educational centres, republic’s certification bodies and Intersertifica group of independent companies in regard to training the professionals in the field of quality management system and international quality certification.
