Within the framework of the republic’s charity campaign titled Help Prep for School, OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim enhanced its beneficent aid to children. The sum total of donations (including the corporate assistance to 20 education establishments of Nizhnekamsk, the financial assistance and support for the low-income and large families, families with disabled parents raising the minor children, pensionary veterans having their grandchildren in custody) reached 5,672.4 million roubles.

The republic’s charity campaign named Help Prep for School is being held in the country for several years. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov emphasizes that “according to the tradition, the republic’s charity event Help Prep for School , which is usually held in August, is partaken by the industrial enterprises and trade organizations of the republic. Within the framework of this event school uniform and sportswear are purchased for the first-graders. Charity care is administered to schoolchildren from disadvantaged and multi-child families, as well as to disabled children. Obviously, this revives the children’s spirits on the Day of Knowledge eve and helps them prepare for the school year”.

On 24 August 2012, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Rashat Fattakhov chaired the task force conference titled “The Preparatory works at public catering outlets to provide service to guests and participants of the Kazan World Summer Universiade 2013”, related to the issues of the republic’s consumer market. The meeting was attended by the representatives of ANO Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, the Federal Service on Customers’ Rights Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance in the Republic of Tatarstan, ZAO Republic’s Certification Center for Methodics Test-Tatarstan, and GAUZ the Republic’s Centre for Medical Prevention.

On 24 August 2012, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting between the republic’s heads of ministries, departments, industrial enterprises, and top managers of OAO Gazprombank. The meeting ended in signing of the Protocol on the development of cooperation. The document was signed by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of OAO Gazprombank Farid Kantserov acting on behalf of Gazprombank management.

The Protocol on cooperation provides for the interaction between the parties to develop long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation and is expected to further boost the social, economic, and industrial potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 21 August 2012, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak has arrived to the Republic of Tatarstan. In the Kazan International Airport he was welcomed by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov, and top managers of a number of enterprises representing the republic’s fuel-and-power sector. During his stay in Tatarstan, Alexander Novak is scheduled to hold the meetings related to the power supply to the facilities of Kazan World Summer Universiade 2013 and the preparatory works for autumn/winter 2012-2013 period at the electric power utilities of the Volga Federal District, as well as to visit the Ashalchinskoye super-viscous oils field, TANEKO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex, and to make a tour of OAO TAIF-NK and OAO Nizhnekamskshina.

On 17 August 2012 the Republic of Tatarstan for the first time is holding a small aviation show dubbed “I Opt for the Sky”. The aviation festival is held within the 6th International Exhibition “Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials, and Machinery”, devoted to the celebration of the significant historic dates of the aviation industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, viz. 100 anniversary of the Russian military aviation, 90th anniversary of Tupolev Design Bureau, 85th anniversary of Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Production Association, 80th anniversary of Tupolev Kazan State Technical University (KNITU) and 95th anniversary of Electropribor plant.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov congratulated the working personnel of Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Production Association with its 85th Anniversary.

On 15 August 2012, the session of the interdepartmental task force was held to study and assess investment projects of organizations implementing restructuring and upgrading of their activities. The task force studied the investment projects of Tatarstan enterprises, such as OAO PO ElAZ, OOO Ford Sollers Yelabuga, OAO Tatspirtprom, OAO Ak Bars Aero, OAO Nefis Cosmetics, and FKP Kazan Plant Tochmash.
The projects implementation is expected to result in the creation of over 4,000 jobs, in significant growth of labour capacity, and improved personnel training. The enterprises with hazardous wastes are supposed to introduce the environmentally friendly technologies.

On 14 August 2012, Kazanskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Centre held the 6th International Exhibition “Aerospace Technologies, Advanced Materials, and Machinery. Kazan 2012” (AKTO 2012). The opening ceremony, attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, came up with the signing of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of the development of Tatarstan aviation cluster between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, OAO United Aerospace Corporation (UAC), Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Production Association, and Tupolev National Research Technical University. The Agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov, President of OAO UAC Mikhail Pogosyan, General Manager of Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Production Association Vasil Kayumov, and Acting Principal of National Research Technical University (KAI) Nikolay Abrukov.

On 9 August 2012, Nizhnekamsk hosted the rewarding ceremony of the regional Best Welder 2012 contest. The lead was held by Yevgeny Vladimirov from Almetyevsk, a worker of Neftegas enterprise; the second place was taken by Mikhail Novokreshchenov (OOO PromStroyPodryad), and Rinat Karimullin (OOO Tatspetsneftekhimremstroy) ranked 3rd. The rewarding ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Hamza Bagmanov.
