On 15 April 2013, the Czech-Tatarstan Business Forum, attended by the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Martin Kuba, saw the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and MITAS a.s.
On 15 April 2013, representatives of the Tatarstan business community made a tour of Skoda Plant and Temelin Nuclear Power Station.

On 14 to 16 April 2013, the delegation of the Tatarstan business community headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov pays a visit to the Czech Republic. The Tatarstan delegation comprises Ravil Zaripov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade; Radik Gimatdinov, Aide to the President; Zufar Abdulgaleyev, Trade and Economic Representative of Tatarstan in the Czech Republic; as well as representatives of ministries, agencies, educational establishments, and business community.

12 April is the International Day of Human Space Flight. Since 12 April 1962, Russia has been celebrating the Cosmonautics Day commemorating the first space flight by Yuri Gagarin. On 12 April 1962, the Soviet pilot Yuri Gagarin aboard Vostok spaceship launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome became the first man in the world to make an orbital flight of the Earth. His flight in the near-Earth environment was completed in 108 minutes.
On 11 April 2013, a launching ceremony of the Ford Explorer production facility was held at the Ford Sollers Plant in Yelabuga with the participation of the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Aleksey Rakhmanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Director General of Sollers Vadim Shvetsov, CEO of Ford Sollers Ted Kannis, First Vice President and Executive Director of Ford Sollers Adil Shirinov. The Ford vehicle assembly at the Ford Sollers factory in Yelabuga started in 2012. To date, Ford Sollers Yelabuga employs over 1500 people.
The working visit of the delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov to Belarus on 8 to 9 April 2013 resulted in the signing of the Action Plan for 2013-2014 for implementing the Agreement between the governments of Tatarstan and Belarus on trade, economic, scientific, technology, and cultural cooperation (dated 23 June 2004).
Within the visit programme, Ravil Zaripov had a meeting with Vladimir Semashko, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus.
On 11 April 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held the meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group for Implementing Lean Production. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Gulnara Akhmadeyeva delivered a report on the results of the 7th International Lean Conference “Efficient Processes to Bring High Performance”. The meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group dealt with the results (reports) of implementing the target programme actions on several pilot sites: OAO Kazan Electrotechnical Plant, OAO PO ELAZ, OAO Gorky Zelenodolsk Plant, OAO Gorbunov Kazan Aircraft Production Association, and OOO PRETTL-NK. The basic indicator for efficient implementation of lean technologies at all pilot sites is the better performance without job cuts.
On 11 April 2013, the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade held a meeting between Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Rashat Fattakhov and the delegation of the Republic of Dagestan headed by Acting Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Dagestan Maksud Musaev.
During the meeting, the Dagestan delegation studied the experience of Tatarstan in the fields of creating the up-to-date consumer market infrastructure, improving the territorial availability of goods and services for residents, compiling the trade register with the use of the dedicated software, and the state support of trade and investment activities.
On 11 April 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held the meeting of the working group for Tatarstan consumer's market issues chaired by Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Rashat Fattakhov. During the meeting, participants discussed the issues of performing the Interdepartmental Action Plan for arranging and conducting the certification of food services within the voluntary GOST R Services Certification System for the enterprises involved in the catering of guests and participants of the Universiade, as approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 1393-r. of 10.08.2012.

On 10 April 2013, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov chaired the following organisational meetings:
·         On the issues of the preparations for and celebration of a Chemist’s Day in the Republic of Tatarstan;
·         On the issues of the preparations for the Organisational Committee meeting regarding the arrangements for and celebration of the 60th anniversary since the foundation of Almetyevsk and the 70th anniversary since the oilfield development began.
The meetings were attended by representatives of the Tatarstan Presidential Administration, Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Nizhnekamsk and Almetyevsk municipalities, Republic’s Committee of the Trade Union of Workers in the Chemical Industry, OAO Tatneft, OAO Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim, and Kazan National Research Technological University.
The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of holding the first Organizational Committee meeting, as well as the draft programme of the main arrangements for the celebration of anniversary dates.

On 10 April 2013, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov had a meeting with the top executives of Archimedes Exhibitions. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov; Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Gulnara Akhmadeyeva; Managing Director of Archimedes Exhibitions GmbH Jorg Schmidtsiefen; and Representative of Archimedes Exhibitions GmbH in Russia and the CIS Sergey Mukhametov.
The meeting held at the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade included the discussion of the main approaches to the concept development, as well as the organisational issues of creating the Polytechnic Museum and Exhibition Centre in the republic that would involve the Tatarstan mechanical engineering enterprises and educational establishments.
