On 8 April 2013, KAMAZ hosted a workshop on adopting the lean production technologies at the plants manufacturing speciality vehicles. The workshop was attended by over 80 representatives of KAMAZ partner enterprises. The main purpose of the workshop is sharing the practical experiences in the field of the lean production. The workshop programme included 5 master classes, tours to the motor works to see the production of bus chassis and superstructures.

On 8 to 9 April 2013, Tatarstan delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov is on the working trip to the Republic of Belarus. The Tatarstan delegation comprises top officials from the ministries, representatives of enterprises (chemical and petrochemical, mechanical engineering, and light industries), and universities. The working trip was organised by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Kazan within the framework of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technology, and Cultural Cooperation of 23 June 2004. The programme of the working trip includes discussions for the development of cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and public authorities and economic entities of the Republic of Belarus, visits to leading Belarusian companies, technology institutes, and industrial parks.

On 1 to 2 April, the Republic of Tatarstan welcomed the top executives from the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, an influential European organisation comprising outstanding politicians, diplomatic officials, businessmen, and public figures from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldavia, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, Montenegro, Iran, and Switzerland.
The visit of the delegation included meetings with Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, top officials from the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing, Kazan Executive Committee, as well as with the leaders of OAO TAIF.
The meetings comprised the discussion of prospects for further cooperation development between the Republic of Tatarstan and the International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea in the field of construction industry and attraction of investment.

On 22 March 2013, Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the 7th International Lean Conference “Efficient processes to bring high performance”, that was attended by top officials from the state authorities, representatives of Russia’s major corporations and enterprises from 32 Russian regions, as well as lean coaches from Great Britain, Japan, Italy, and Turkey, MSM representatives.  Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister –Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov made a report “Sustainable development: implementation of lean technologies in the Republic of Tatarstan”.

On 21 March 2013, Korston Hotel&Mall held a meeting regarding the results of the republic’s public service sector for 2012 and targets to be hit during 2013. The meeting was held by the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade jointly with the Chamber of Crafts.

The Management of OAO Kazan Helicopters, with the assistance of The Russian Helicopters Holding, Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Republic’s “Tatmedia” Mass Media Agency, has established the First Journalism Award for the Best Media Publishing entitled “Credibility to Blue-Collar and White-Collar Jobs”.

On 19 March 2013 Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov held a meeting with the delegation from the Republic of Austria, headed by Austrian Deputy Minister of Transport, Innovations and Technologies Andreas Reichhardt.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department for Cooperation with CIS Countries of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Heinz Walter, Commercial Counselor of the Austrian Embassy in the Russian Federation Dietmar Fellner, and representatives of Austrian companies from various spheres of industries.
Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov pointed out the dynamic development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Tatarstan and Austria. Following the results of the year 2012, bilateral foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Austria made up $46.8 mln (growth is 2.2 times compared to 2011)

On 18 March 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with the delegation from Bavaria (Germany). The meeting was attended by: from the Republic of Tatarstan: the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ruslan Kabirov, heads of departments from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, representatives of SEZ Alabuga; from Germany: Dr. Hans Schleicher, Deputy Chairman, Head of State Department at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport, and Technology; Markus Lotzsch, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nuremberg and Middle Franconia; and representatives of the Bavarian business community. The meeting included the presentation of industrial and investment potential of Tatarstan and Bavaria.
