On 29 November 2016, Kazan will hold Tatarstan-Saxony Economic Forum, within the visit of Saxon delegation headed by Minister President of Saxony Stanislaw Tillich to the Republic of Tatarstan.

The forum will be attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister President of Saxony Stanislaw Tillich, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, officials and business communities from Tatarstan and Saxony.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov will make a presentation of Tatarstan trade, economic, and industrial potential. Top officials of Saxony Department of Economic Development will make a presentation of trade and economic potential of Saxony.

Within the business forum, B2B meetings of business communities of Tatarstan and Saxony will also be held.

On 28 November 2016, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers hosted an official awarding ceremony of prize and diploma winners of the 12th Republic’s Contest for Quality of the Tatarstan Government.

The official ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Head of ANO Russian Quality System Maksim Protasov, awardees and diploma winners of the Republic’s Contest for Quality Awards of the Tatarstan Government, and representatives of Volga Centre for Quality and Industrial Enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On 25 November 2016, AO Zelenodolsk Shipyard hosted an official keel-laying ceremony of the fifth Project 22160 patrol vessel “Viktor Veliky”, designed by Severnoye Design Bureau from Saint-Petersburg.

The official keel-laying ceremony was attended by Russian Deputy Defence Minister Yury Borisov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Chief of the State Defence Order Implementation Department of the Russian Defence Ministry Andrey Vernigora, Head of the Armaments Department of the Russian Armed Forces Anatoly Gulyayev, Chief of the Directorate of Military Representative Offices of the Russian Defence Ministry Oleg Stepanov, Head of the Ship-Building Department at the Russian Navy Vladimir Tryapichnikov, leaders of Zelenodolsk District, AO Ak Bars Holding Company, AO Zelenodolsk Shipyard, and Severnoye Design Bureau.

On 24 November 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the All-Russian meeting “On Preparations of Energy Enterprises to Autumn-Winter Period 2016-2017”, that was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of Russian Minister of Energy Aleksandr Novak.

The meeting was attended by Russian top officials, representatives of Russian Ministry of Energy, Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia, Federal Antimonopoly Service, and top executives of federal and regional energy companies.

On 24 November 2016, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Russian Federation held the presentation of Tatarstan industrial, investment and tourism potential to Czech business community.

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in the Russian Federation Vladimir Remek, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Sergey Ivanov, representatives of Tatarstan enterprises and 24 companies from the Czech Republic.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov read the welcome speech by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to organisers and participants, who later listened to Albert Karimov’s presentation of Tatarstan industrial, investment and tourist potential in the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Moscow.

On 24 November 2016, Kazan hosted a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of PAO Tatneft under the chairmanship of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

During the meeting, participants listened to information regarding financial and business activities within 9 months of 2016. The total volume of oil extracted by Tatneft (without allowance for subsidiaries) was 20,851,000 tonnes that is higher than that in the previous year by 4.9%.

The Board of Directors considered plans for oil extraction, as well as geological and technical operations for 2017.

On 24 November 2016, Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade hosted the meeting on considering an issue of supplying retail chains with vegetables. The meeting was attended by top officials of Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food, top executives of agricultural enterprises and retail chains.

During the meeting, participants discussed issues of supplying people in the republic with high-quality vegetables, as well as topical issues of cooperation between local suppliers of agricultural products and retail chains.

On 24 November 2016, the 3rd All-Russian Light Industry Forum was opened, which is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The Forum was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, professional and social organisations, financial and banking institutions, leading companies within the sector, analysts and sectoral experts. From the Republic of Tatarstan, the Forum was visited by representatives of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Tatarstan enterprises such as OAO OF Spartak, OOO Karlen, etc.

The Light Industry Forum is an important industry’s discussion platform, which summarises the work, outlines the plans, and forms a road map for next periods to support, promote, and develop the industry.

State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov opened the Forum. He said that textile and garment production output in Russia grew by 4.2% compared to 2015, while the growth in the production of leather and footwear was 6.2%.

The forum discussed issues of investment attractiveness in the industry, analyses the current results of the state support, and identified the priorities for further development of the industry.

On 23 November 2016, the results of the All-Russian Contest of Mass Media and Press Service of the Fuel And Energy Complex Companies and Regional Administrations “MediaTEK” were summed up in Moscow within the ENES-2016 Forum.

The Republic of Tatarstan ranked 1st in the nomination “Personal Attention” for the active participation of Tatarstan leaders in social events of developing a fuel and energy sector in the region. The award was bestowed to Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov.

On 23 November 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, being a member of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov is participating in the International Forum for Energy Efficiency and Energy Development ENES-2016.
