On 23 November 2016, Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov will participate in the International Forum for Energy Efficiency and Energy Development ENES-2016 from 23 to 25 November 2016 in Moscow.

Tatarstan delegation comprises Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, representatives of Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tatarstan Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services, Tatarstan Centre of Energy Saving Technologies under the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, enterprises of Tatarstan fuel and energy sector, and representatives of the Kazan State Power Engineering University.

The Republic of Tatarstan has been participating in ENES Forum since 2013 with the joint exposition which reflects expertise of Tatarstan in energy saving and energy efficiency.

On 22 November 2016, the jubilee 10,000th Mercedes-Benz truck was assembled at the Russian-German joint Daimler Kamaz Rus.

Daimler AG and PAO Kamaz (a part of Rostec State Corporation) each own 50% shares of Daimler Kamaz Rus. During its 6-year-existence, the joint enterprise manufactured some 10,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Its production facilities allow manufacturing 3,000 Fuso vehicles in the single shift mode and up to 6,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the three shift mode. The total area is 33,000 square metres, including a warehouse (9,000 square meters), production premises (22,000 square meters), offices and education centre (1.5 square meters).

On 21 November 2016, the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Sakhalin Oblast Oleg Kozhemyako was also attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, Aide to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Director General of PAO Tatneft Nail Maganov, and others.

To date, Tatarstan supplies KAMAZ trucks, tyres, medical equipment, and various food products to Sakhalin Oblast. The republic is also prepared to supply buses, special purpose machinery, helicopters, vessels, petrochemical equipment, chemicals, diesel fuel, sulphur, engine oils, mineral fertilisers, and to expand the list of medical products and drugs for sale.

The Governor noted that the agricultural sector development is a priority in the Sakhalin Oblast. “We still consider the Republic of Tatarstan as one of our suppliers”, stated the Governor.

On 21 November 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov bestowed a Letter of Gratitude by the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers to head of one of the departments of Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade Pyotr Chumakov for his fruitful work and significant contribution to holding FINA World Championships in Kazan.

On 19 November 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, top officials of the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food, administrators of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan, executive committees of Kaybitsky and Verkhneuslonsky districts visited an agricultural fair in the Novo-Savinovsky District of Kazan (next to Bakhetle Trade Centre at 71a, Yamashev St.).

At this fair, enterprises of Kaybitsky and Verkhneuslonsky districts and other organisations of Tatarstan agricultural sector sell their products.

On 18 November 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov congratulated former and current employees and top executives of the Kazan Plant of Precision Engineering with the 75th anniversary of the enterprise.

Albert Karimov emphasised that the basis of the enterprise development is a well-thought-out programme to upgrade the production process aimed at expanding the output of competitive products and creating a high technology centre for manufacturing new-generation products.

The Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade bestowed departmental awards to the best employees of the enterprise.

On 18 November 2016, the meeting of Scientific and Technical Council of the Russian Military-Industrial Commission was held. It was dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Kazan Plant of Precision Engineering.

The meeting was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Russian Military-Industrial Commission and Deputy Chairman of the Collegium of the Russian Military-Industrial Commission Yury Mikhailov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, and heads of defence and industrial enterprises.

According to the Tatarstan President, the Kazan Plant of Precision Engineering is retained owing to the support from the federal centre. “To date, the enterprise has huge prospects. The products manufactured there are needed for our country”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

On 17 November 2016, the meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee to Combat Illicit Trafficking of Industrial Products in Tatarstan was held under the chairmanship of Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov.

During the meeting, parties considered topical issues of illicit trafficking of industrial products in the sphere of Tatarstan’s folk artistic crafts. Tatarstan First Minister of Culture Elvira Kamalova and Tatarstan Centre for Folk Arts and Crafts Nuri Mustafayev made reports regarding this issue.

On 17 November 2016, the meeting was held between Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov and head of the Sichuan delegation, Deputy Head of the Office of Foreign Affairs and Migration of the Sichuan Provincial Government He Guangxiang.

During the meeting, parties discussed the current condition and promising areas for development of trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Sichuan Province, People’s Republic of China.

He Guangxiang invited Albert Karimov to pay a visit to the Sichuan Province and offered to complete the courses for civil servants from the Republic of Tatarstan in Sichuan in April 2017.

On 16 November 2016, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers hosted the meeting on strengthening interaction of regional engineering centres and prototyping centres with industrial enterprises of Tatarstan.

During the meeting, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov made a report in which he noted that in order to shift to comprehensive engineering, it is necessary to develop the infrastructure of engineering centres created in Tatarstan, address issues of human resources, and promote the harmonisation of national standards.
