Professor at the London Business School Richard Jolly delivered today a lecture entitled “Leadership in Modern Conditions”. The event was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, as well as representatives of executive authorities, officials of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers.

 

Richard Jolly distinguished features of the present leadership and gave some examples. The lecturer also showed examples of what is quality, how leadership varies depending on the generation.

 

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Richard Jolly for his speech and noted that the lecture was very informative and full of examples. You very clearly explained a number of aspects and pointed out some we also have, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Today, the Volga-Kama Joint Stock Company of Mechanical Rubber Products Kvart is celebrating its 75th anniversary. On behalf of the region’s leadership, the factory workers were congratulated by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov. The celebrations were also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Congratulating the factory workers, Ildar Khalikov thanked all employees of the company for their work, once again congratulated them on the 75-year anniversary of the company and wished everyone – in addition to the industrial success – happiness and family well-being, health, good news, and of course, plenty of joyful moments.

Tatarstan Prime Minister also presented awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to company employees (the Valorous Labour medal, the title of the Honoured Builder of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honoured Chemist of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc.).

The celebrations ended with a festive concert.

On 27 January 2017, the Chuvash Republic will see a meeting of the Coordinating Council for Industry chaired by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. The event will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

 

The topic for discussion at the Coordinating Council will be the “Development of Food Engineering in the Russian Federation”. Over 60 regions of the country already confirmed their participation in the meeting.

 

On this day, the guests are also planning to visit the production site of ZAO Sespel in the Morgaushsky District. In addition, the Cheboksary Arena Ice Palace will host the exhibition of sample products manufactured by the industrial facilities in Chuvashia.

Today, the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers hosted a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund.

 

The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov

 

The agenda included four issues of current activities of the Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund. The members of the Supervisory Board also considered financial plan for 2017. A report on this subject was made by TIVF Director Ainur Aideldinov.

 

In addition, the meeting discussed issues related to the portfolio of Fund’s projects, particularly the further development of ZAO Aktanysh Aggregate Plant.

Chairman of the Board of Mir Holding and founder of Dizayn Grup (Turkey) Ibrahim Mirmahmutoğulları met today with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

 

The meeting took place at the Tatarstan House of Government and was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Director General of SEZ Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev.

 

In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed the issues regarding the implementation of polyethylene and polypropylene pipe production by Mir Holding and Dizayn Grup in the territory of SEZ Alabuga.

 

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that he would include in his programme a visit to the greenhouses of Mir Holding and Dizayn Grup during his working trips to Turkey.

A total of 11 prizes were awarded to Russian companies.

 

The most prestigious State Award in the field of quality was approved by the Resolution of the Russian Government No. 423 of April 12, 1996 and is awarded annually on a competitive basis for outstanding results in the field of quality of products and services, introduction of effective quality management methods.

 

In 2016, two companies of Tatarstan were awarded the Quality Prize of the Russian Government. AO TANECO (Nizhnekamsk) became the winner among companies with over thousand employees; OOO TagraS-RemServis (Almetyevsk) became the winner among companies with fewer than 250 employees.

 

AO TANECO is a company in the Russian oil refining industry, a member of the Tatneft Group, which has strategic importance for the development of the Tatarstan economy.

 

OOO TagraS-RemServis is a Russian company providing a full range of oilfield services in exploration, improvement, and development of infrastructure in the oil and gas industry.

Today, the Kazan Kremlin hosted the traditional annual ceremony of awarding the Book of Philanthropists and Letters of Appreciation from the Republic’s Renaissance Foundation for Revival of Monuments of History and Culture in the Republic Tatarstan.

 

At this time, State Councillor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Republic’s Renaissance Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev has presented the 7th Book of Philanthropists, which listed the names of 20,000 benefactors notably contributed to the revival of historical heritage.

 

The ceremony was attended by Head of the Tatarstan Presidential Office Asgat Safarov, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan and Head of the Office of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Shamil Gafarov, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Council, Head of Renaissance Foundation Administrative Council Yuri Kamaltynov, as well as Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Almaz Khusainov.

 

The State Councillor of the Republic of Tatarstan also presented awards to representatives of ministries and departments and, among them, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.

PAO Tatneft has announced the 2nd Tatneft Grants Contest, the mission of which is to select the best creative ideas, interesting proposals to address topical issues relating to social, cultural, or environmental development of the regions.

 

Applications will be accepted in the following categories:

·     Education and Research (support of gifted children, scientific and creative young people, socially important research projects);

·     Social Services (improvement of cities and towns, restoration and reconditioning of architectural and historical heritage monuments, etc.);

·     Environment (protection of public health, preservation and provision of favourable environment, public environmental education);

·     Culture and Arts (implementation of new cultural and educational projects, support for creative teams in the field of culture and arts, promotion of literature);

·     Nationhood and Patriotism (search activities, museums, educational programmes);

·     Sports (support of amateur sports teams, support and development of children's sports and tourism).

Applications are accepted from 1 February to 31 March 2017.

On 26 January 2017, Almetyevsk hosted the meeting of the PAO Tatneft Board of Directors chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

 

During the meeting, the budget performance results were announced for 2016 and the budget was approved for February 2017. The participants discussed the key areas to improve the efficiency of geological exploration and noted a need for a more active use of innovations in order to ensure reserves in depleted deposits of conventional oil (supplementary exploration, enhanced oil recovery), seek new deposits, ultra-viscous oil fields, and Domanic oil deposits.

 

In addition, the participants heard the results of the internal audit department. Following the audits, it was mentioned that there is a need to improve the quality of the competitive procurements in jobs and services, as well as to enhance raw material procurement options for enterprises of the Tatneft tyre complex.

Today, the Tatarstan House of Government saw a meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of the Tunisian business community. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.

 

In his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan attaches great importance to developing cooperation with the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, including Tunisia. He stressed that the Islamic world is very important to Russia. There are about 20 million indigenous Muslims living in the Russian Federation.

 

He said that Tunisia is also of the utmost interest because it allows entering other markets in Africa, such as Algeria and Morocco.

 

Among the most promising areas of cooperation, Rustam Minnikhanov noted the cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, sales of Kamaz trucks in Tunisia, the development of relations in the sphere of tourism, humanitarian contacts, etc.
