Today, the Tatarstan House of Government saw a meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of the Tunisian business community. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov.
In his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan attaches great importance to developing cooperation with the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, including Tunisia. He stressed that the Islamic world is very important to Russia. There are about 20 million indigenous Muslims living in the Russian Federation.
He said that Tunisia is also of the utmost interest because it allows entering other markets in Africa, such as Algeria and Morocco.
Among the most promising areas of cooperation, Rustam Minnikhanov noted the cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, sales of Kamaz trucks in Tunisia, the development of relations in the sphere of tourism, humanitarian contacts, etc.
