The Mongolia-Tatarstan Economic Forum was held today during the two-day working visit to Ulaanbaatar of the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The Forum was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Chairman of the Board of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry B. Lhagvazhav, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Mongolia Iskander Azizov, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Chairman of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev, Assistant to the Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Director General of PAO Tatneft Nail Maganov, and representatives of Tatarstan and Mongolia business communities.
The presentation of the trade and economic potential of the Republic of Tatarstan was made by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov.
At the end of the Forum, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov.
Today, the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Gobi Cashmere plant within the working visit to Mongolia. The delegation comprised Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Chairman of the Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageyev, and other officials.
Rustam Minnikhanov studied the complete production cycle.
At the end, Tatarstan President visited the largest in Ulaanbaatar Gobi original store, where he studied the product range.
Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Samsung D'Light Exhibition Hall within his working visit to the Republic of Korea.
After that, a working meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and President of Samsung Electronics Sang-jin Park has been held.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked top executives of Samsung Electronics for the meeting and their presentation.
Director General of OAO ICL-KME CS Viktor Diachkov came up with a proposal for Samsung Electronics to localise production of LCD panels in the SEZ Innopolis.
“We are interested in attracting South Korean entrepreneurs and investments in our republic, we welcome to develop mutually beneficial relations and are ready to provide all possible assistance”, said Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov during the opening ceremony of the Korea-Tatarstan Business Forum.
The forum was held in Seoul, in the conference hall of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) within the working visit of Rustam Minnikhanov to the Republic of Korea (19-20 June).
At the end of the forum, a number of agreements were signed in the presence of the Tatarstan President, including a Memorandum of Understanding between the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
During the meeting with Chairman of the Mingzhu Democratic Party and Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kim Min Sok, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that to date Russia has created favourable conditions for foreign investors. The Republic of Tatarstan offers South Korea-based companies the most favourable conditions for conducting business and protection of Korean investments.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea Aleksandr Timonin and other officials. The Tatarstan delegation comprised Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov, and others.
Welcoming the members of the Tatarstan delegation in Seoul, Kim Min Sok said that after the visit he expects development of fruitful cooperation in political, economic, and social spheres. He also expressed his desire to visit the Republic of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his confidence that currently there are many areas in which both Tatarstan and the Republic of Korea can interact, and it is important to do it.
Pangyo Techno Valley, located near Seoul, was visited by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. Members of the Tatarstan delegation, including Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, were presented opportunities of scientific and technology park and outlook for its further development. President of Pangyo Techno Valley Kwak Jae-won answered to questions that have arisen.
Pangyo Techno Valley is the largest technopark area in the Republic of Korea. The valley was opened in 2005, the total investment into the project amounted to USD 5 billion.
At the end of the presentation, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov invited Pangyo Techno Valley team to visit the SEZ Innopolis.
Then, Tatarstan President and his accompanying persons made a tour of the Pangyo Techno Valley.
On 19 June 2016, the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived to Seoul (Republic of Korea) with a working visit. The working trip will last two days from 19 to 20 June 2016. The official delegation comprised Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, and other officials.
Seoul is to host the Korea-Tatarstan Business Forum, during which the industrial and investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan will be presented.
Today, on 16 June, the Tatarstan delegation headed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, being a part of the Tatarstan delegation, represents the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The forum will be attended by representatives of over 500 foreign companies from 60 countries, particularly, from the USA, France, Switzerland, Japan, the Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Finland, China, Denmark, and other countries, as well as representatives of 600 Russian companies, including representatives of regional and municipal authorities, and major enterprises.
Within the framework of the forum, it is scheduled to hold meetings between members of the Tatarstan delegation and representatives of PricewaterhouseCoopers, MSD, General Electric, as well as top executives of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia and governors of Russian regions, such as the Altai Krai and the Leningrad Oblast.
Furthermore, the presentation of results of the national rating of the investment climate in constituent entities of the Russian Federation will be held during the forum.
On 14 June 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov chaired the meeting on the issues of holding the republic’s Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Contest and Contest for Quality Awards of the Tatarstan Government.
The meeting was attended by top executives of the State Regional Centre for Standardisation, Metrology and Testing in the Republic of Tatarstan, NP Volga Quality Centre, and heads of departments of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade.
During the meeting, participants considered proposals to improve holding of republic’s contests aimed to promoting competitive republic’s products to domestic and foreign markets.
On 14 June 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov within his working trip to Cheboksary participated in the joint meeting between Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolay Patrushev and Presidential Envoy of the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich. The meeting was also attended by officials from federal ministries and agencies, and heads of various municipalities of Russia.
The agenda included two issues: information security in using Internet at governmental authorities and compliance with environment standards in handling household and industrial wastes.
During the meeting, the Tatarstan President made a report. He noted that Tatarstan pays very serious attention to information security.
According to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, one of the priority tasks in ensuring information security in Tatarstan is the implementation of import substitution policies, specifically in using products and services of Russian IT and internet companies. In this issue, the key part is given to Innopolis, a new city, which has a university majoring in education and scientific research in up-to-date information technologies.
