On 11 June 2016, Naberezhnye Chelny hosted the meeting between the delegation from the Republic of Cuba headed by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Cuba Ricardo Cabrisas and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The meeting was held at the Kamaz Plant. It was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in the Russian Federation Emilio Lozada García, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeyev, Tatarstan Minister of Economy Artyom Zdunov, Director General of PAO Kamaz Sergey Kogogin, Director General of PAO Tatneft Nail Maganov, etc.

Tatarstan President offered to intensify relations between Tatarstan and Cuba in the sphere of education. As promising areas of cooperation, he highlighted the interaction in hi-tech spheres, healthcare, culture, tourism and others.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Cuba Ricardo Cabrisas thanked Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov for his warm welcome and noted that to date Russia and Cuba make important steps in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation. Tatarstan, in turn, contributes greatly to the development of these ties, he emphasised.

12 June 2016 is the Day of Textile and Light Industry Workers. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov congratulates the workers of Tatarstan light industry with their professional holiday:

On 10 June 2016, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Igor Shuvalov held the meeting in Kazan dedicated to non-raw exports. The meeting was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, top officials of Russian and Tatarstan ministries and agencies, top executives of leading industrial enterprises, and heads of cities and districts of the republic.

Rustam Minnikhanov touched upon issues that, according to him, can help improve activities in exporting non-raw materials. These are, first of all, complexity and duration of passing the international certification.

In general, Rustam Minnikhanov called that subject quite topical.

On 10 June 2016, Kazan hosted the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and entrepreneurs in the format “Business and Authority: Straight Talk.”

The meeting was attended by over 200 entrepreneurs, leaders of business associations, top officials of ministries and agencies, and heads of municipalities of the republic.

Entrepreneurs asked the Tatarstan President a number of questions on topical issues, such as activities of regulatory and supervisory authorities, support of farmers, training of entrepreneurs, medical industry, road construction, freight shipping, rural tourism, procurement of raw materials, retrofitting and upgrading, light industry, construction of up-to-date vegetable warehouses, promotion of Tatarstan products to foreign markets, etc.

On 9 June 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting between Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and representatives of China-based LiuGong. During the meeting, parties discussed opportunities for cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the China-based company.

Ildar Khalikov emphasised that lately a great number of business contacts were established with China-based companies. He also reminded that the interaction is being held both with entrepreneurs and officials of the State authorities of China. Tatarstan is actively cooperates with a number of provinces of China.

Later representatives of China-based LiuGong made a presentation of their company and its potential in production of front loaders.

LiuGong owns 21 plants in China and 3 abroad (India, Poland, and Brazil). Over 10,000 people around the world have chosen LiuGong as an employer. LiuGong was awarded with the China Quality Award.

On 9 June 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting between Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan President, and Mikhail Zadornov, President and Chairman of the Board at VTB24 Bank.

During the meeting, parties signed an Agreement on Cooperation between VTB24 Bank and the Republic of Tatarstan. The signatories of the document were Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan President, and Mikhail Zadornov, President and Chairman of the Board at VTB24 Bank.

At the end of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov and Mikhail Zadornov answered to the questions of reporters. Mikhail Zadornov told that the signed agreement involves interaction in various areas, one of which is in supporting small and medium enterprises.

On 8 June 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov made a tour of the exhibition in Innopolis accompanied by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, members of the Tatarstan Government and top executives of major Russian and Tatarstan enterprises. The exhibition was opened within the conference “Information Technology of Industrial Russia” (ITIR).

Leading foreign, Russian and, above all, Tatarstan developers submitted their offers and developments to the manufacturing sector of Russia and Tatarstan. Right on the spot, Tatarstan President instructed some of the exhibition participants to elaborate their offers for more detailed consideration.

Within the conference with the participation of Rustam Minnikhanov and Sergey Chemezov, leading experts of Russia discussed such issues as development of telemedicine and establishment of unified electronic educational system in the country.

On 8 June 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the extended meeting of the Council of the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs “On Interaction between Industrial Enterprises, Federal and Newly Created Republic’s Institutions to Support Industry Development”.

In his speech during the meeting of the Tatarstan Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs, the head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that enterprises in Tatarstan are rather increasingly taking, within the framework of the programmes implemented by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the opportunity of receiving partial compensations for interest payments in investment loans, as well as for conducting R&D in promising areas of the civil industry.

On 8 June 2016, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov participated in the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Board at VTB Bank Andrey Kostin.

During the meeting held in the Tatarstan House of Government, parties signed an Agreement on Cooperation between VTB Bank and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The parties agreed to promote the implementation of programmes for State support to businesses and projects at the territory of outstripping social and economic development (TOSED) in the Republic of Tatarstan. Areas for cooperation include joint activities in implementing investment, innovative, scientific and technology projects.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov in his interview with the reporter of the current affairs programme “Adymnar” (TNV) Leysan Sabirova told about the current situation in products exports by Tatarstan industrial enterprises, main areas of state support of non-raw-material exports, and the role of Tatarstan representative offices in increasing the export potential of the republic abroad.
