Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a video conference meeting with Minister of Finance and Economics of Turkmenistan Ezizgeldi Annamukhamedov. The parties discussed issues of economic, scientific, technology, and cultural cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan.

“Relations between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan are becoming closer. We attach great importance to the development of our contacts and the expansion of mutually beneficial ties. Turkmenistan is one of the priority partners for Tatarstan”, said Minister Karimov in his welcoming speech. “Another important area for us is cooperation in the educational field. Turkmenistan is a leader in the number of foreign students”, he added.

Despite the challenges arising from the current situation in the world, enterprises of Tatarstan such as KAMAZ, Tatneft, Kazan Helicopters, KMPO, Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation (Zelenodolsk Shipyard) and others continue their cooperation with Turkmen partners. The foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan amounted to more than US$ 120 million in 2019.

According to the results of price monitoring in large federal and regional retail chains in the republic from May 25 to June 1, an increase in prices for a number of socially important food products was recorded: potatoes, 3.3%; buckwheat, 3.1%; apples, 2.2%; polished rice, 1.9%, carrots, 1.9%; and vermicelli, 1%.

The main reason for the increase in prices for fruits and vegetables is the seasonal factor, which is observed in the republic from year to year.

At present, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan continues to work jointly with the Tatarstan’s Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan, and the Prosecutor’s Office of Tatarstan to identify the reasons for the price increases for polished rice, buckwheat and vermicelli.

In addition, more than 650,000 antiseptics, 1.6 million pairs of gloves, and 8.1 million facemasks were available in the republic’s retail and pharmacy chains as of June 4, 2020. Personal protective equipment can be purchased in such retail chains as Magnit, Pyaterochka, Lenta, Metro, Verny, Auchan, Perekrestok, Selgros, Bekhetle, Edelweiss, Avgustina, Agat, FAITRO, Chelny Bread, Duslyk, Gurman-Produkt, Svetofor and in pharmacy chains of Tattekhmedpharm, Planeta Zdorovya, Riviera, Saulyk, Sakura, Pharmlend, Eva Plus, Magnat, Universal, and Aloe-Pharm.

Guided by the task of informing the general public and federal government authorities in the issues of building the socio-economic potential of the constituent entities of Russia and reducing disparities in the level and quality of life of their citizens, as outlined in the Decree of the Russian President “On Approving the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Regional Development in Russia until 2025”, the OIA News of Russia and the editors of the Economic Policy of Russia journal are compiling a 2020 Summary Overview entitled “Russian Regional Development as Strength of State” on the RIA News of Russian Regions portal, at https://regioninformburo.ru/category/society/ 

The participants in the compilation are federal, regional, and municipal government authorities, as well as institutions, organisations, and enterprises of all types of municipalities.

Compiling the 2020 Summary Overview is aimed at informational assistance in ensuring equal opportunities for the implementation of the economic, political and social rights of citizens throughout the country as established by the Constitution of the Russian Federation and federal laws, improving the quality of their lives, ensuring sustainable economic growth and the scientific and technology development of regions, increasing the competitiveness of the Russian economy on world markets based on the balanced and sustainable socio-economic development of the constituent entities and municipalities of the Russian Federation, as well as the maximum involvement of the public in solving regional and local problems.

Dear employees of chemical and petrochemical sector! On behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan and on my personal behalf, I congratulate all current and retired employees in the chemical and petrochemical sector of Tatarstan on their professional holiday, Chemist’s Day!

Owing to your work, the enterprises of Tatarstan’s chemical industry provide the country with 100% of polycarbonate, 22% of tyres, 44% of synthetic rubbers, and 13% of synthetic detergents. One third of the base polymers produced in Tatarstan are processed by republic’s major polymer processors. In 2019, chemical and petrochemical companies in Tatarstan yielded over RUB 429 billion worth of products. The republic’s leaders pose ambitious tasks for the petrochemical sector to upgrade existing facilities and implement innovative projects. The republic’s petrochemical sector, its production and personnel potential is a pride of Tatarstan.

Of course, the main wealth of Tatarstan is, first of all, its people, workers, experts, and industry’s long-service employees. Thanks to the dedicated work of labour teams, the petrochemical sector of Tatarstan is increasingly developing.

According to the results of price monitoring in large federal and regional retail chains in the republic from May 18 to May 25, an increase in prices for a number of socially important food products was recorded: polished rice, 2.6%, carrots, 2.1%; buckwheat, 1.6%; potatoes, 1.5%; and wheat flour, 1.3%.

The main reason for the increase in prices for fruits and vegetables is the seasonal factor, which is observed in the republic from year to year.

At present, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan continues to work jointly with the Tatarstan’s Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan, and the Prosecutor’s Office of Tatarstan to identify the reasons for the price increases for polished rice, buckwheat and wheat flour.

A working meeting in the video conference format was held in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov and Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Germany Andrey Sobolev. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities of cooperation between Tatarstan and German partners in the field of waste management using the Germantech platform.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov and representatives of the Russian-German Foreign Trade Chamber (AHK) Andrei Sizykh, Tatyana Matsidovsky, and Yulia Grischenkova.

Germantech is an electronic information technology platform created with the support from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany (BMU). This initiative is considered as a tool for involving leading German companies that operate in the field of environmental engineering in the processes of localising production and technology transfer in Russia, and serves to establish contacts between German and Russian counterparts in the field of waste management technologies.

At present, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan continues to work with the Tatarstan’s Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan, and the Prosecutor’s Office of Tatarstan to identify the reasons for the price increases.

Applications started to be accepted for the regional stage of the All-Russian Contest of Creative, Design, and Research Papers of Students #VmesteYarche, which now celebrates its 5th anniversary!

This year, the contest is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the GOELRO, a plan for the grand electrification of our country, which has changed the lives of millions of people for the better.

Applications are accepted from children and youth aged 6 to 18 studying in pre-school, general, additional, and secondary vocational education establishments.

The winners are expected to be awarded with valuable prizes, while senior students will also receive an invitation to Moscow from the organisers and partners of the event: Moscow Power Engineering Institute and Russia’s leading energy companies. The contest results will be announced on the Power Engineer Day, December 22, 2020.
