Ford Sollers will produce 200 school buses based on Ford Transit by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan. This order was received as part of the republic’s school bus fleet renewal by the beginning of the next school year.
The school bus is a special version designed on the Ford Transit basis with a long wheelbase, it has rear-wheel drive and is equipped with 2.2 litres and 136 hp Duratorq TDCi diesel engine that is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission. Buses are painted yellow and wear a “Children” mark, as well as warning stickers inside the cabin. In addition, all vehicles are equipped, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry, with a tachograph that allows recording and storing information about driver’s actions, and a speed limiter of up to 60 km/hour. The bus is designed to meet all the requirements of technical regulations that guarantee the safe transportation of children. Passenger seats are equipped with seat belts and are made in compliance with all requirements, and also have wear-resistant upholstery. The school bus is designed to carry 21 students and 1 attendant.
Ford Transit production was launched at the Ford Sollers factory in Yelabuga using full-cycle technology, which allows Russian customers to offer an up-to-date product adapted to operate in Russian conditions at a competitive price. The range of basic versions includes an all-metal van, bus and chassis; vehicles are available to order with three options for the base length, two options for the roof height and all drive types, including all-wheel one.
Within the framework of a working visit to the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited the Korib Auto Repair Plant, where he studied the company's capabilities for overhaul and maintenance of cargo vehicles. The overhaul procedure makes it possible to fully extend the operating life of a vehicle to the brand-new state with significant financial savings of up to 50% with a guarantee similar to that of the manufacturer.
The Minister was also shown the thoroughly repaired tractor MTZ 82, being a pilot example of a joint project with OAO MTZ on overhaul and reconditioning of Belarus tractor equipment in Tatarstan.
According to the results of price monitoring in large federal and regional retail chains in the republic from June 8 to 15, an increase in prices for a number of socially important food products was recorded: potatoes, 9.2%; apples, 2.7%; carrots, 2.2%; buckwheat, 1.5%; polished rice, 1%.
The main reason for the increase in prices for fruits and vegetables is the seasonal factor, which is observed in the republic from year to year.
At present, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan continues to work jointly with the Tatarstan’s Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Tatarstan, and the Prosecutor’s Office of Tatarstan to identify the reasons for the price increases for polished rice and buckwheat.
In addition, more than 720,000 antiseptics, 1.5 million pairs of gloves, and 7.5 million facemasks were available in the republic’s retail and pharmacy chains as of June 18, 2020. Personal protective equipment can be purchased in such retail chains as Magnit, Pyaterochka, Lenta, Metro, Verny, Auchan, Perekrestok, Selgros, Bekhetle, Edelweiss, Avgustina, Agat, FAITRO, Chelny Bread, Duslyk, Gurman-Produkt, Svetofor and in pharmacy chains of Tattekhmedpharm, Planeta Zdorovya, Riviera, Saulyk, Sakura, Pharmlend, Eva Plus, Magnat, Universal, and Aloe-Pharm.

A number of enterprises in Tatarstan are developing competencies for the production of disposable protective face masks and accessories for them.
OOO Global Partner (village of Nikolskoye, Laishevsky District) is one of the largest suppliers of components for the production of masks (elastic tape and nose brigde) in Russia. Today, upon evaluating the prospects for the medical industry development, the company is increasing its output for the production of face mask components by almost 2 times. In addition, OOO Global Partner is preparing an investment project for the production of meltblown, a non-woven material with a high filtering ability used in the manufacture of disposable masks and respirators.
PAO KAMAZ made an important decision to purchase equipment for the production of class 2 respirators; today the company is carrying out commissioning operations and expects to launch the production facility by the end of June. These respirators will be delivered to medical and State institutions in the republic to protect medical personnel.

On June 30 this year, an annual dialogue platform, the 11th Forum of Innovative Technologies InfoSpace, will take place online, its main topic being “Digital Leadership. Strategies, Personnel, Technology”.

June 8 to July 27 will see the regional stage of the 6th All-Russian Contest for the Media, Energy Sector Press Services, and Regional Administrations (MediaTEK).
The main objectives of the contest are to enhance the professionalism of energy companies in the field of information coverage of their activities, to inform the public about energy sector development projects, to encourage projects related to the popularisation of jobs in the fuel and energy sector, and to increase the role and strengthen the importance of people employed in power, oil and gas sectors.
In addition to the traditional areas of information work, much attention is expected to be paid in 2020 to covering the activities of energy companies in the COVID-19 environment, implementing projects to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary of the GOELRO plan.
The submissions to the MediaTEK Contest are projects and journalistic works published in mass media or implemented in the period from September 1, 2019 to July 29, 2020. The regional stage of the MediaTEK Contest seeks the participation of mass media outlets, journalists, and press-services (PR departments) of fuel and energy sector companies.
The MediaTEK-2020 results are expected to be summed up within the framework of the Russian Energy Week International Forum on October 13-16 in Moscow.
