Last weekend, the capital of Tatarstan hosted the 2nd stage of the National Sailing League 2020 in the water area of ​​the Kazanka River. This year, the event was attended by more than 250 yachtsmen from 15 regions of Russia.

Tatarstan is hosting the country’s largest sailing project for the second year in a row. The stage was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary since the formation of the Tatar ASSR. The regatta took place with a support from Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

On the day of celebrations in honour of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR and the Day of the City of Kazan, the results were summarised. On behalf of the Government of Tatarstan, the yachtsmen were congratulated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Tatarstan Sailing Federation Albert Karimov.

“Over the 6 years of its existence, the League has become a large-scale and prestigious multi-stage regatta of the country, has gathered the strongest yachtsmen of Russia, has become a community of people united by one unconditional love to sail. This year has become special for us, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary since the founding of our republic. Over its century-long history, Tatarstan has achieved tremendous results in all areas, including sports”, he noted in his speech.

In total, 19 strongest teams of the country took part in the event, including 2 teams from Tatarstan. The Akhmat team from Chechnya became the leader.

Today, the Kazan Helicopters saw a ceremonial event dedicated to the 80th anniversary since its foundation.

PAO Kazan Helicopters is the only enterprise in its sector that carries out a complete cycle of building helicopter equipment starting from design and full scale production to after-sales support, staff training, and repairs.

Its main activities include production of helicopters, overhaul, production of spare parts, engineering and technical assistance, helicopter upgrade, training of aviation personnel, production of ground equipment for servicing helicopters, design and development.

The festive event was attended by Director of the Aviation Industry Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Dmitry Lysogorsky, Chief Navigator and Head of the Navigation Service at the Russia’s FSO Aviation Centre Yuri Kostyukov, Director General of Russian Helicopters Andrey Boginsky, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, and Assistant to the Tatarstan President Ravil Zaripov, Chief of Staff of the Tatarstan President Asgat Safarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and other high-ranking guests.

On August 30, on the Day of Tatarstan and the city of Kazan, the winners and laureates of the 8th Republic’s Annual Open TV Festival of Working Youth Creativity will perform with a big concert, which is held with the support from Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.

The concert will begin with a Parade of Participants. Then their best performances will be shown to the public by the employees of the Road Safety State Budgetary Institution; the Kazan State-Owned Gunpowder Factory; the Kazan Aviation Plant (branch of Tupolev Corporation); Ammoni Plant; KETZ; Nizhnekamskneftekhim; Kazan Helicopters; KAMAZ; Tatneft; Zelenodolsk Shipyard; Kazanorgsintez; Tattelecom; departments of education in republic’s municipal districts, and others.

The concert programme is intended for a wide audience. Admission is free.

The Our Time - Beznen Zaman Annual Open TV Festival of Working Youth is aimed at popularising blue-collar and white-collar jobs and uncovering the creative potential of young people working in republic’s enterprises and organisations. The Festival is a socially significant project that has no commercial purposes.

This year the festival is dedicated to two significant dates for Tatarstan, the 100th anniversary of the TASSR and the 75th anniversary of the Victory.

On August 28, the Representative Office of Tatarstan in Uzbekistan hosted a ceremonial event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the TASSR.

The event was attended by Representative of Tatarstan in Uzbekistan Aydar Akhtareev, representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Uzbekistan Mikhail Vozhdaev, Chairman of the Tatar Public Cultural and Educational Centre (TPCEC) in Tashkent Rishat Nabiullin, representative of KAMAZ in Uzbekistan Timur Kamilov, Director of Tatneft-AZS-Tashkent Ilnur Khabibullin, and others.

In his speech, Aydar Akhtareev described the 100-year path traversed by Tatarstan, highlighting in detail its most important historical milestones, achievements, and forthcoming tasks in the Republic’s development.

Rishat Nabiullin spoke about the activities of the Tatar Cultural Centre and thanked the leaders of Tatarstan and the World Congress of Tatars for the continuous attention to, and support of, the Tatars in Uzbekistan.

Mikhail Vozhdaev congratulated all participants on the remarkable date, the 100th anniversary of TASSR and the Day of Tatarstan, shared the upcoming plans to strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, and noted the vitality of the local Tatar community among Russian compatriots.

At the end of the event, the participants took a tour of the representative office’s building.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited the Mamadyshsky Municipal District, where he examined the traditional enterprises of the food and processing industries and also had meetings with the employees of the Mamadysh Plant (branch of OOO Azbuka Syra) and the Mamadysh Distillery (AO Tatspirtprom).

The output of products shipped by the enterprises in the Mamadyshsky District in 7 months of 2020 amounted to RUB 5,140 million, an increase up to 116%. The industrial production index in 7 months of 2020 was 108%.

A participant in the Labour Productivity and Employment Support national project, the Mamadysh Plant, а production branch of Azbuka Syra, specialises in the production of cheeses, butter, and whey powder. In 7 months of 2020, the Mamadysh cheese factory processed 90,500 tonnes of milk and sold products worth RUB 3,683 million.

The Mamadysh Distillery, а branch of AO Tatspirtprom, is one of the strategically important enterprises, the production volume of which amounted to RUB 394.9 million.

The Mamadyshsky District also boasts of the state-of-the-art Vyatka Industrial Park, which houses efficient hi-tech production facilities from a number of industrial sectors.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov made a working trip to the Tetyushsky Municipal District, where he visited the Mechanical Plant of Kazan Helicopters, TTS 116, and Polymer-Povolzhye.

The Mechanical Plant of Kazan Helicopters is one of the company’s best divisions, which produces more than 7,125 items.

The Polymer-Povolzhye company has been operating since 2013. The plant specialises in the production of plastic and fibreglass products, such as catamarans, floating pontoons, decorative ponds, and much more. For further company’s development, there is a plan of acquiring a second extrusion line to expand the range of products, namely to increase the pipe diameters from 90 mm to 600 mm.

The Tetyushi industrial site continues to develop. Last year, its nine residents produced goods worth RUB 361 million, an increase by 42% (compared to RUB 254.7 million on 2018), and 95 jobs were created (compared to 73 jobs in 2018). The production volumes of double-glazed windows, polyethylene pipes are growing, the number of jobs is increasing.

“We successfully compete with the world’s leading manufacturers in the field of mechanical engineering, aircraft construction, petrochemicals, and oil refining”, Minister Karimov said during his speech to the employees of the Mechanical Plant of Kazan Helicopters.

Employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan were trained at the Process Factory site, where they gained practical experience in using lean manufacturing tools.

During the training, the participants lived through three game shifts, in which a certain number of products were manufactured. While gaining experience in implementing improvements using lean tools, participants analysed the indicators that were visualised in the Process Factory information centre; identified production problems, developed solutions and put them into practice; determined losses; optimised transportation logistics; reduced production areas; balanced the operators’ work; lined up the work by takt time; learned how to identify the customer’s needs.

After completing the training, all participants received certificates. In the coming weeks, training for Ministry’s employees will continue.

The Process Factory is a training production site where participants gain practical experience during a real production process in using lean manufacturing and production optimisation tools, and understand how improvements affect the operational and economic performance of the production process. The site was created within the “Labour Productivity and Employment Support” national project.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited the Yutazinsky Municipal District. As part of his working visit, he examined industrial enterprises and had meetings with their employees.

In January to June 2020, the enterprises of the district shipped industrial products worth RUB 1,953 million. The industrial production index for large and midsize enterprises in the district was 102.1% in the first half of the year.

The basic sector of the economy in the district is manufacturing industry, whose contribution to the gross territorial product exceeds 50%. District’s leading industrial enterprises are the Electro-Connector, the Urussu Chemical Plant, Volma-Absalyamovo, and the Absalyamovo Plant for Building Structures and Materials.

The Urussu Industrial Park continues to function successfully. Using the funds allocated from the republic’s budget in 2019, facilities of the Park’s utility infrastructure were built and more than 8,000 square metres of asphalt pavement were laid, these works will continue this year. Now the Park hosts 17 residents, more than a hundred people work there, and the production volume in the first half of 2020 amounted to RUB 50.5 million.

“The republic will continue to pursue the course towards the development of manufacturing industry, the creation of high-tech industries and new jobs,” said Albert Karimov during a meeting with the employees.

Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov had a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Turkmenistan Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov. The meeting was held in the video conference format, where the parties discussed the prospects in the field of industry between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan.

“Turkmenistan is a priority partner of Tatarstan. We are interested in further deepening of our multifaceted cooperation with Turkmenistan”, said Albert Karimov during his welcoming speech. He also noted that regular high-level mutual contacts underline the high degree of bilateral cooperation development.

Despite the difficult epidemiological situation in the world, enterprises of Tatarstan, such as KAMAZ, Kazan Helicopters, Tatneft, Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation, KER-Holding and others currently continue their cooperation with their Turkmen partners, jointly overcoming the difficulties they face. Also, a number of deliveries of antiviral drugs, devices, and personal protective equipment were carried out to Turkmenistan from Tatarstan by such enterprises as Tatkhimpharmpreparaty, Tattekhmedpharm, and PharmMedPolis.

The Republic of Tatarstan is prepared to continue providing comprehensive support to the Turkmen people in combating the coronavirus pandemic.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Albert Karimov visited ZAO NP Naberezhnye Chelny Cardboard and Paper Mill named after S.P. Titov, where he had a meeting with its employees and studied the production activities of the company and the progress of its retrofitting.

The Naberezhnye Chelny Cardboard and Paper Mill is one of the ten largest enterprises of the pulp and paper industry in Russia, one of the 50 main taxpayers in Tatarstan and the second budget-forming enterprise in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. The owners of the mill are its employees (100% of the company’s shares are employee-owned). The company currently produces cardboard, paper and products from them, such as sanitary and hygienic goods, corrugated packaging.

The main goal of the project was to increase the operating speed of the cardboard machine (CBM) from 400 m/min to 600 m/min. After the commissioning of the renewed equipment, the speed of the CBM actually reached 620 m/min.

The cardboard factory project is scheduled to be completed in 2020-2021. As a result, the factory would be able to produce high quality goods weighing from 80 to 250 g/m2 at a steady speed of 800 m/min.

Also in 2020, it is planned to design the upgrading of the paper mill to increase the output of basic toilet paper and sanitary products. The implementation of this project is scheduled for 2021-2023 in order to increase the paper mill output by 20%.
