Employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan were trained at the Process Factory site, where they gained practical experience in using lean manufacturing tools.
During the training, the participants lived through three game shifts, in which a certain number of products were manufactured. While gaining experience in implementing improvements using lean tools, participants analysed the indicators that were visualised in the Process Factory information centre; identified production problems, developed solutions and put them into practice; determined losses; optimised transportation logistics; reduced production areas; balanced the operators’ work; lined up the work by takt time; learned how to identify the customer’s needs.
After completing the training, all participants received certificates. In the coming weeks, training for Ministry’s employees will continue.
The Process Factory is a training production site where participants gain practical experience during a real production process in using lean manufacturing and production optimisation tools, and understand how improvements affect the operational and economic performance of the production process. The site was created within the “Labour Productivity and Employment Support” national project.
