Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited new production facilities at the Technopolis Himgrad, which were built within the “Small and Medium-Sized Businesses and Support of Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives” national project, and studied the products of its residents aimed at combating COVID-19.

The head of the republic noted the activities of companies that in spring and summer this year began to implement projects in the Technopolis Himgrad. Representatives of the companies told the Tatarstan President about the demand for their products, the amount of investment, the number of jobs, and the projected annual revenues.

On the day of President Minnikhanov’s arrival, the Technopolis saw an exhibition of personal protective equipment produced on its territory and intended to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Within the framework of the visit by the Tatarstan President, a tripartite cooperation agreement was signed between the Technopolis Himgrad, the Kazan College of Technology and Design, and individual entrepreneur Nikolay Kazaev engaged in sewing outerwear for women. Its main goal was to promote the development of sewing facilities in the industrial park and to reduce the shortage of qualified personnel, including a professional retraining of senior citizens and employment of college graduates. The Technopolis Himgrad also signed a cooperation agreement with the Italy-based Autopart Srl, which is part of the KWS Engineering holding.
